《The Tracking ✔》Chapter 48-Here, Now.

JC goes up the stairs to our room to get some clothes on, instead of the blanket that I despised seeing her in around these other males.
Drake and I discussed what we have planned to do while we wait. I want to get out there and fight, but my pack and Bellamy's pack is holding them off from the house very well. We need this plan to work. We need everything to fall into place.
"Let's do this." JC descends the stairs with determined look on her face. Her black clothes fit snug on her body and her hair is in a tight ponytail. Still beautiful, always beautiful.
I'm nervous about the outcome that can come from these events, but we must do something. Mine or Bellamy's pack isn't getting any stronger.
JC comes to my side and I pull her in to my chest. "It will be okay." I lick my lips in anticipation but I know she's confident that it will be just fine. I can see it in her eyes.
I steal a kiss on her lips gently and then Drake, JC, and I walk out the back door to where most of the fighting is going on. JC climbs some of the vines that have crept up our pack home.
Some of the rogues see this and they fight harder to get through the barrier of warriors that separate them from us and the house.
Drake and I stand at the bottom of the vines, guarding her as she continues to climb. Bellamy manages to break away from the rogues and comes to stand beside us, as does Chase.
"About time! Have fun hiding away in the house? My men's lives are in danger! What will you do about it? " Bellamy looks at me with anger and instead of taking insult to his accusation- I reply calmly, "We've got a plan. Just protect JC."
Bellamy rolls his eyes in an aggravation and he transforms back into his wolf. Chase stays in the wolf form beside me. JC reaches a good point to stop climbing.
"Hey!" I yell into the snarls, growls, and yelps of pain. Some rogues looked up to me and one of the warriors they were previously fighting would kill them, other's didn't even flinch at the sound of my voice calling out to them.
I look down at Theo and hoped he knew a way to get their attention and end this war. Theo shrugs his shoulders and then seems to get a idea. Theo and Drake whistle very loud and then Bellamy and Chase howl into the air.
Everything seemed to die down a little at these actions. Finally, the rogues and warriors started to separate to opposite ends of the fields. The warriors and rogues kept their eyes on one another, but a few focused their attention on me.
"Okay, we are going to talk. Who's your leader?" I ask the crowd of rogues. A few rogues changed back into their human form and stepped closer to where I am. I wish I could read minds, that would be an awesome witch ability.
"Chad Waverly." A rough looking blonde she-wolf spoke. "He's laying right there, dead." She points to the deceased body that Drake tore up earlier. I cringe at the amount of blood and lack
"Who else is in charge?" I ask, hoping there was some sort of secondary leader I could speak with. Chad would have probably been easier to talk to than who ever else they may have.

A wolf in the front transforms to his human form and steps forward. I haven't met this man, but as soon as I see his face I know who he is. Same eyes, same face shape, smile, and even the same build. This man is Jared's father. Jared warned me about him.
"Me." The man speaks with a deep voice, walking forward. Theo and Drake both growl in warning for him to stop and he does. A smirk appears on his face and he looks up at me with an amused look in his dark eyes. So this is the man who tries to poison me? And using a kid to do it? He has issues.
"We came for you. We are going to take you, use you, and create a new world. Chad wanted that, he dreamed that the Moon Goddess told him it was our destiny. If you come now, we won't bring any more harm to your pack or Bellamy's." He's eyes shift from me to Theo and Bellamy who watch him with caution.
I know that Theo wants to kill him right now, but if that happens- whose to say another leader won't fill in his shoes?
"The Moon Goddess wouldn't want me to become a blood slave. She wouldn't support all this destruction and killing. So all of that-" I pause, licking my lips."-is bullshit."
The Moon Goddess created The Ten Commandments for werewolves. Even though some may not believe in her, it's hard describe how mates came about without her. So basically, every werewolf believes in her.
Me? I mean, I guess I do. But I can't understand how I am a witch and werewolf. It would be a good time to need her right now.
"You wanna know what's bullshit? My son, Jared is in that house right now and you've brainwashed him into believing this pack will take care of him. He doesn't belong here. So, I'm taking you and him back. This is how it is." The honesty in his voice is real, however I can see slight worry on his face. I think he might be slightly worried Jared will put up a fight.
I glance down at Theo and let out a sigh. Jared will stay here, even if I have to kill every rogue here by myself. That little boy has done nothing to deserve the life that his father is trying to make him have.
I look back down where the man is standing and inquire his name.
"Morgan." He answers me back, cocking his head to the side. I let out a slow breath and tighten my hold on the vines that are keeping me away from the rogues, who would have snatched me up quickly if I was on the ground.
"Morgan, I'll go with you." Chase and Bellamy growl at my words, but I ignore them as I watch Morgan's face turn to a smile. The rogues that are in their human form start talking among each other and the ones that are still in wolf form start moving in anticipation to get me, where I can't change my mind.
"I have conditions." I say ending the chatter and rustling around.
"My mate, Theo. He comes with me. Jared, he stays here-" Morgan shakes his head in disagreement and tries to talk but I silence him by talking over him. "-Until I see fit for him to join us. If you try to take him, I will fight you all the way. I will not be a slave. I will not be mistreated. I will be fully nourished and no harm will come to Theo."

Morgan is silent for a moment, then laughs slightly and turns to his pack, "I guess that's a good offer. But why? You said yourself you didn't want to help us."
"I see your extra back-up hidden in the woods. I know we don't have enough warriors to take them on. You've exhausted all of them as it is." I look over to the warriors to see them still ready to attack the rogues, but they're breathing heavily. They're exhausted.
Morgan's face smirks at his small victory I have given him, and he walks closer to Theo. Theo has stayed silent, like I have told him to. This is part of our plan. This is how we win.
"You, the Alpha, you want to leave your pack?" Morgan points his finger and narrows his eyes at Theo. I know it seems unbelievable because he's the Alpha, and Alpha's don't abandon their pack.
"I think my pack will be fine. As long as you leave them alone and take me and JC. I just don't want to see my mate mistreated. We are tired of fighting and running." Theo says with emotion in his voice. The warriors clearly look very unhappy with Theo's words as they start growling and whining.
Morgan takes note of this and nods his head. "I'm going to come down from here, I don't want to be restrained or attacked. We both are going willingly."
Morgan welcomes me down by hand gestures and I climb down the ladder slowly. Once I reach the bottom, I give Drake a hug and tell him everything will be okay. Bellamy and Chase stare at Theo and I as we join hands and walk to Morgan.
__________
The drive to their headquarters took maybe three hours, Theo and I was blindfolded but we wasn't restrained. It was silent, other than the country radio station in the background.
Theo held my hand the whole way. Some of the rogues spoke about this to themselves once we arrived to the place of operation. They said something that I or Theo couldn't be mistreated if the boss man wanted his son back.
It was obviously their intention to tie me up and drain me. I don't know what they would've done to Jared, and I'm sure they wanted to kill Theo. All of their initial plans went out the window so they are on edge, and unsure about anything know.
Their compound is actually a warehouse that looks like in the outskirts of the city. It's guarded by other rogues who actually hold guns. That's unusual for werewolves considering we are dangerous just ourselves.
Hey, remember the plan. Theo mind-links me and squeezes my hand gently. I don't feel as nervous as I estimated I would have felt. Maybe it's the fact we have a plan and my mate is here with me. Maybe it's that I know their intentions and know that I will be treated okay for a while.
Maybe it's because I'm more confident, more powerful.
I squeeze Theo's hand back as we reach the doors of the warehouse. Two rogues are behind Theo and I, I can almost feel their breath on my neck.
Some rough looking ones stand looking suspicious and surprised at how Theo and I went willingly. Morgan tells them the number of rogue lives were lost and that their leader, the Rogue Alpha, Chad Waverly met his death.
At this they looked at Theo and I with hate filled eyes, but then Morgan informed them that neither one of us did that. Which, hardly makes a difference. Drake killed him and he's still alive.
The rogues opened the door and we hesitantly walked in. Upon walking inside, I see cages filled with women inside. They were all laying or sitting down. A few managed to roll their head over to look at who walked inside, some stayed in their position and kept the blank stare on their face.
Oh my God Theo. The witches.
I knew that the rogues were keeping witches, but I didn't expect this many. There are over ten cages lining the walls of the warehouse. In the center, there are a few chairs, a long table, needle packs and blood bags.
As we walk, the witches slightly perk up. I bet they sense that I'm the one they are there for. I'm a witch too, and I think this gives them hope. I am their hope. Or their doom.
"We will sit you right over here and we will take three pints every day. We previously had a cage for you to stay in but since you have demanded fair treatment, we will get a room ready for you and Theo." Morgan says to us. I'm surprised with Morgan's professional tone, and so is everyone else apparently.
I'm sure they expected me to be dragged in by the hair on my head, screaming and fighting. But it seems like a business agreement instead. Having Jared really proved to be effective, and Morgan being the second in command also helped.
I guess they could easily go back in to get Jared if they get my blood and become Spellbound Lycans. They of course, will not touch a drop of my blood. I'll just let them believe that.
If Morgan is smart, then he will choose the easy road to getting his child. "Of course, the room you both will be in will be locked. You can't walk around freely and will be punished if you disobey an order."
My mouth forms a straight line as we stop walking and I turn to Morgan. "Of course, but I'm not giving three pints a day. One at the most." Pausing, I allow a single tear to escape my eye. "We get one hour of sunlight a day." I let my voice drag in sadness at the situation and circumstances.
Theo squeezes my hand again in support, but keeps quiet. Morgan's teeth clench most likely at my deny for giving that much blood but he nods. We get to the back of the warehouse and I sigh in relief that I'm not walking passed those witch-filled cages anymore.
Morgan opens another door which leads to a hallway with multiple rooms. We walk to the left and then down a few halls.
We soon run into a few rogues along the way that give us strange looks. I can't say we are totally believable or that they should trust us. They shouldn't. But for now, Morgan has a little trust in our word so that's all we need.
We reach a room I assume Theo and I will be staying in. Only when they open the door, I'm pushed in.
"What the hell?" I raise my voice and turn around to see Morgan usher some men to take Theo.
"I can't have you two in the same room. You'll see each other, but for now I'm keeping you separate."
Theo fought against the rogues who had their hold on him, but gave up when one threatened to beat him if he didn't stop.
Morgan shuts the door and I rush to it, beating my fist against it.
The game begins.

I know a lot of you were anticipating the next update and here it is! I hope you all liked it!
Do Theo and JC have control over this or will everything turn for the worse?

Small Pond
In a world without systems, levels, or any standard power levels, Faust is a naturally skeptical person who always asks questions first and accepts after he gets confirmation. A lot of it. With some information unknown to the reader, represented as [?], Faust is left to discover who kidnapped him, where he is, if magic exists, and what to do while the reader silently observes him. And as for the YOU dear reader, I'll need your help choosing some things... Small Pond isn't meant to be a high-paced action light novel, but instead, there's a greater focus on world and character building in order to create a greater narrative. Expect the unexpected in this story ;) The release schedule will be paused, for now, I'm going to try and spend some time rethinking the intro and work on school.
