《The LOVE of a BETA》Chapter 7: What do I do?

Three hours to decide my future. It had taken all I had to hold Zeus back from pouncing on my mate and taking him right there on the couch. Goddess, he was sexy as shit.
Accepting my mate means I will have to accept his pups. One was already an omega and one had the potential. I was raised thinking that subs and omegas should know their place. They were there to serve the dominates--Alphas, Betas, Deltas, Gammas, and Warriors. We weren't abusive to them in my pack but we weren't kind either. Alpha Jack had already warned me several times in regards to my treatment of his pack subs and omegas. I usually blew him off. I was the Beta, I trained the pack to fight. Subs and omegas were a liability.
I honestly don't know if I can keep my mate's conditions. What the hell would my Warriors think if I had an omega for a pup? Not only an omega, but one that I would have to treat as an equal.
I need to meet his pups to see what I am up against. I hated asking Alpha Felix for anything but I would need his help. I can only imagine the immense pleasure he has taken seeing me miserable this past week.
I hesitantly link him.
I will ask Caleb and if he agrees we will see you in 30-minutes. If we don't come by then, tough shit.
I said gritting my teeth. I really dislike that man.
30-minutes later I had showered, dressed, and was sitting on the edge of my bed trembling.
"Good grief Dane! Get your head out of your ass. It's just three little pups" I murmured to myself.
I heard a knock on the door followed by Alpha Felix, "you better be decent!"

"Come in" I stated. Making my way to the living room I could see Alpha Felix holding one pup in each of his arms at the door way. Their faces were tucked in the crook of his neck. The third one was standing next to him, arms crossed and scowling.
"Please...have a seat on the couch" I motioned to them. Alpha Felix sat the boy he had in his arms next to him and held the girl on his lap. She was the omega. What looked like the oldest boy stood next to the couch. His scowl had now turned into a full blown glare.
We all stared at each other for a few minutes before Alpha Felix broke the silence.
"Beta Dane. Let me introduce you to Gideon. He is ten years old. Seth here is seven and Sariah is almost six" Alpha Felix said as he pointed to each one.
"Hi. I'm Beta Dane" I replied. I could see the small girl start to tremble. Alpha Felix started rubbing her back trying to calm her. "It's going to be alright beautiful. He won't hurt you. I've got you" he whispered. The little girl clung to his shirt.
The youngest boy sat on the couch with his arms folded and his head down. I moved my head down trying to catch his eyes. He looked up and I gave him a small smile. He smiled back and quickly put his head back down. Glad that at least didn't freak out when I spoke to them.
Gideon hadn't stopped glaring so I thought a little challenge may be in order. I sat up tall and gave him a smirk. He walked right over to me and punched me in the nose. "That's for scaring my sister" he screamed. He was strong and I could feel a sting on my nose where he had made contact. Maybe the smirk was the wrong way to go but I liked this kid already.

I looked at him and grinned. "You're right, I did scare her and I shouldn't have done that" I said. Looking over to Sariah, "Sariah...I'm sorry for scaring you. I will try to never do that again." She turned towards me and gave me a slight smile. She was so small and delicate. I felt my heart flutter and the need to protect her was instant. I have never felt that way towards anyone before and certainly not towards an omega.
Surprisingly, I could feel Zeus's instant need to protect and care for her as well.
"Well...I think that is enough for right now. Beta Dane...Caleb asked me to tell you that he will come and see you in an hour" Alpha Felix huffed. I could only nod as I watched him stand up and walk out of the suite with three little beings that could change my life forever.
Well, the meeting could have gone a lot worse. The oldest one...Gideon. At least he didn't kick me in the balls. Don't know if his legs were long enough but from the gusto I got from that kid, he would have found a way.
Going from being mate-less to having a mate AND three pups was overwhelming. I know nothing about pups. My Mom was affectionate but my Dad was not. He was gone most of the time on 'pack business' but sometimes I wondered if it was because he didn't want to be around me.
I mean...are they toilet trained?
A loud knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts. Looking down at my watch, I realized that I had been sitting on the couch for almost an hour.
"Come in" I called.
His scent his my nose even before the door opened fully to reveal my handsome mate. Caleb slowly made his way through the door and over to the living room. He looked amazing. The blue button up shirt he had one made his blue eyes look even more intense and the khaki pants he wore, hugged him the right spots.
"So...what's the verdict" he asks nervously.
I WANT MY MATE! Zeus roared.
I wanted him. I would figure out the rest as we went but I wanted my mate.
"I, Beta Dane Livingston accept Caleb Lewis as my mate. I also accept Gideon Lewis, Seth Lewis, and Sariah Lewis as my children" I said beaming.
"I, Caleb Lewis accept Dane Livingston as my mate" he said with a smile.
I stared at my beautiful mate not knowing what to do next.
Mark him ! Zeus roared. He's ours!
Damn horny wolf.
"I think until we have gotten to know each other better and the pups feel more comfortable around you, we should continue to live separately" Caleb said.
I was disappointed but knew he was right. "If that's what you think is best" I replied.
I had accepted my mate. I would now have to work on getting him to like me.
"A date" I blurted out.
"A date" Caleb questioned.
"Yes...can I take you on a date tonight?" I ask praying he will say yes.
"Ummm...sure. Why don't you meet us out front at five?"
I nodded. Smiling, I watch his beautiful perky ass as he leaves the suite.
Wait...who's us?
