Y/n's POV
I whimper as I take a step forward; everything in my body hurts.
"You okay?" Lloyd asks, grabbing my arm. "If you fall, I'll catch you."
I swat his hand away. "You're touching a bruise."
"Sorry," he laughs. "You ready?"
"As I'll ever be."
We run towards the overlord hand in hand, while our teammates fire blasts of their elements towards him and the nindroids to create a distraction.
"What's the plan?" I ask.
"Uh... I don't know. You're the smart one."
"Ha, ha, very funny," I say, but then an idea comes to me. "Okay, here's what I'm thinking..."
—————-
"Ready, Pixal?" Lloyd asks into the communicator in his gi.
"Initiating launch procedures," she replies.
"We'll wait for your signal."
When Pixal in the Samurai X suit flies across the sky, Lloyd and I each conjure a dragon. Once we're hovering off the ground, we merge the two to form one massive beast. I hold onto Lloyd as he takes the reins.
With Pixal swirling around in front of the overlord, he's distracted enough for us to advance from behind without being detected. I hang on tighter to Lloyd as our speed increases, desperately hoping I'm not going to fall off.
"Get ready!" Lloyd calls over his shoulder. "And... now!"
We crash into the overlord, but this is according to plan. Lloyd and I grab hands, and I imagine all of my elemental power being shared with him. After feeling a sudden pulse of energy, I know Lloyd is doing the same.
"On three," I say, then look at him. "One..."
"Two..." he continues.
"Three," we finish together.
On the last count, we expel everything we've got towards the overlord. He yells out in agony and continues screaming as golden swirls of energy spiral around him. My concentration intensifies, which causes our powers to become stronger.

The overlord's dark exterior is now erupting with golden light; it's like his skin is cracking open from all sides. With one final cry, the overlord explodes in a blast of both light and darkness. Once the smoky dust settles, there's nothing left of the tyrant.
"We did it," I sigh, tears in my eyes. The hysteria was kicking in.
"It's over," Lloyd says, pulling me in for a hug. "He's gone."
"Good riddance."
We're joined by the rest of the team, and we all embrace in a group hug.
"Argh, why am I always in the middle of these?" I complain jokingly, but my comment is muffled by everyone pressing in on me.
Everybody laughs, and they back away so I can breathe. Well, everyone except Lloyd.
While the others start talking among each other and stuff like that, I stay buried in Lloyd's chest as he holds me sweetly in between his arms.
"I love you," he mummers into my hair. "Please don't ever leave me."
"Why would I do that?"
"That's what happened the last time we defeated the overlord together."
I pull my head back to look him in the eyes. "Nothing from any world could make me leave you. I love you, remember?"
He smiles bashfully, and pulls me close again. We stay like this for a few more minutes, until Lloyd's posture changes, as if there's something on his mind.
"Hey, y/n? How old are we exactly?"
"Why are you thinking about this now?"
"No reason," he mutters. "But seriously, how old are we?"
"Uh... seventeen, by the looks of it. Maybe eighteen."
"Hmm," he mumbles, then he shrugs. "Well, I guess there's no time better than the present."

"Lloyd?" I ask, wondering why he's acting so weird.
He then releases me from the hug, takes a step back, and holds one of my hands in both of his. I gasp as he gets down on one knee.
"Y/n, you bring out the best in me. I love you with everything I have, and I know we're a little young, but I've never been so sure about anything; I want to spend my life with you," he says, his eyes becoming glossy. "Will... will you marry me?"
My jaw drops. I'm about to answer when I see Nya silently screaming and pointing at Lloyd's proposal position like a fangirl.
I choke back a laugh. I cover my mouth with my free hand.
"What?" Lloyd asks lightheartedly, coming back up to a standing position. "Was it really that bad?"
"No, no! It was beautiful," I say, still trying to hold myself together. "It's just... turn around."
He looks behind him, and face palms. "Nya!"
I can't hold back the laughter anymore.
Nya is currently dancing around the street chanting "(insert ship name here) forever" over and over again, and after a while Sensei ends up joining her.
"So... about my question..." Lloyd says, still watching the shippers parade through the streets.
I resist the urge to slap him. "We're twelve, you doofus."
"But you just said--"
"I thought you were talking appearance-wise!"
"Okay, okay, sorry. I just figured since we're constantly putting ourselves at risk to save the world, it's better to ask sooner rather than later."
"Of course I'll marry you someday," I say happily, going up on my toes to give him a kiss on the cheek. "Just not right now, obviously."
"Thank goodness!" Sensei breathes as he comes closer. He's all out of breath. "I thought you were going to say no!"
Lloyd smiles and sweeps me off my feet. "So, what do you say? Ready to save Ninjago again from whatever villain comes our way?"
"Put me down. Now."
A/N
I'd just like to say that I'm so thankful for everyone who's read this story, voted on it, or left a nice comment. I appreciate every single one of those little gestures.
Book three is already out; it's called Determining Destiny. It combines most of the remaining seasons into one big ball of chaos. I hope to see you there :)
That's all for now!
Peace ✌🏻

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?

The Magic Swordsman
Clearing the most difficult mode of an RPG game called ?The Invasion Of The Demon King?, Hiro Miyagawa unlocked a new difficulty, the ?Hardcore Mode?. Pressing the "Yes" Button, a sudden white light flashed on the screen of the TV, forcing him to close his eyes. Due to the lack of sleep from playing the game three days in a row, Hiro fell asleep and reincarnated into Theo Regnard the moment he woke up. As the support character of the game ?The Invasion Of The Demon King?, Theo Regnard was destined to die at the beginning of the game.
