We were sat eating lunch. Tori was going crazy over Trina's birthweek present.
"Suggestions for birthweek presents for Trina. Okay. Andre, start us off." Tori said.
"Cheese." Dre said but after getting weird looks stopped. "Let's not do cheese."
"Robbie?" Tori asked.
"Lotion or various lotions." Robbie said. We all looked at him.
"I would prefer cheese." Isaac said.
"Yeah me too." I said.
"Gross. Cat?" Tori asked.
"Well, for my last birthday, I thought my parents Were gonna get me a bike. But when I got home from school, My brother was trying to cut off His hair. So my mom started yelling at..." Cat was cut off by Tori.
"Isaac?" Tori asked.
"Singing lessons and then treat yourself to earplugs." Isaac said. I smirked.
"Morgan?" Tori asked.
"A less annoying sister." I said. Jade sniggered.
"Jade." Tori asked.
"Yeah?" Jade looked up from cutting her fries with scissors.
"What should I get Trina?" Tori asked.
"Talent." Jade said.
"Oh, Jade is so pretty." Sinjin said.
"3, 2, 1." Jade, Isaac and I counted down. Sinjin ran away.
"Does anyone have a good idea about a present for Trina?" Tori asked.
"You people give me a rash." Jade walked away.
"What kinda rash?" Rex called after her. I zoned out of the conversation. I was stood at my locker.
"Hey M." Dre said walking over to me.
"Hey Dre." I said.
"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out after school. We could go get food or catch a movie." Dre said.
"Sure. I'd love to just let me tell Jade I don't need a ride home tonight." I said.
"Okay cool chiz." Dre said. I smiled as he walked away. I found Jade stood with Cat.
"Jade, I don't need a ride home tonight." I said.
"Where are you going? Who with? Do I need to lie to Isaac?" Jade asked.
"I'm going out with Dre and we're going for food or catch a movie. We are hanging out as friends nothing more." I said.
"Alright Mom's out tonight anyways." Jade said.
Dre and I were sat at B.F Wangs eating.
"So you like tattoos?" Dre asked.
"Well, I've got enough to say that I like them. Since I was a little kid I wanted to be a tattoo artist and then I got into music and the arts through Jade and Isaac." I said. We sat laughing and talking until Dre's phone rang. Tori called him to drag him to her house to help with Trina's birth week present so I went with him. Tori covered our eyes.

"Are you ready for this?" Tori asked.
"I don't know." Dre said.
"I can't see." We both said. Tori uncovered our eyes.
"Look it." Tori said.
"Shoes?" Dre asked getting slapped in the head.
"You called us over here to show us shoes. We were in the middle of eating." I said earning a slap in the head.
"Boots. Fazzini boots. Trina has been dying for these. I had to go to 11 different stores before I could..." Tori got cut off by the door opening.
"Hello." Trina said walking in.
"Hey." Tori said.
"What's up, Trina?" Dre asked.
"Sup." I said.
"Okay. What has two thumbs And is already having A fantastic birthweek? This girl. Check out my kicks." Trina jumped on the coffee table. "Fazzini boots. Got 'em at Simone's on sale." Trina had the exact same boots Tori had bought her.
"Oh, don't be sad. You could borrow 'em, After I'm dead. Mom, I got fazzini boots. Mom. Mom!" Trina said running upstairs.
"You're gonna have to come up with another present." I said.
"I know that." Tori said.
"Got a cheese guy That could put together..." Dre started.
"I'm not giving her cheese. Maybe I should just give up And accept the fact That I'm not gonna find Anything good And Trina is gonna hate me For the next six months." Tori whinned.
"I can't believe you hit us in the head." I said. Dre and I rubbed out heads.
"Help me." Tori whinned.
"All right. How about a song?" I asked.
"A song, as a present for Trina?" Tori asked.
"Yeah. You can write it, perform it yourself, you know, do it up real big." Dre said.
"That's not bad. That is...I don't know how To write a song." Tori said.
"Think, what has four thumbs And knows how to help a friend Write a song?" Dre asked. Tori looked clueless.
"These guys." We said shaking our thumbs.
"As much as I would love to help I need to get home before Jade and Isaac send a search party looking for me. I can come by tomorrow and help." I said.
"If I send you the song would you learn it on an Electric guitar?" Dre asked.
"Sure." I said putting my jacket on. "See ya tomorrow." I walked out and walked home.

"Where've you been?" Isaac asked sitting on the couch with Beck and Jade.
"I was with Dre and then Vega called him asking for help so we went to her place to help her with a surprise for Trina." I said.
"You and Andre were alone before you went to Tori's?" Beck asked. Isaac shot his head up at me.
"No. We were at B.F Wangs with about 30 other people and couple waiters, chefs and staff." I said.
"You were sat at a table alone though?" Beck asked.
"Morgan." Isaac said.
"No comment." I said sitting next to Jade.
"You were alone." Isaac said.
"Would you relax? It was one boy and he's your friend." I said.
"You're too young to date." Isaac said.
"Jade Jade Jade, fix that please." I asked.
"No this is too funny." Jade said.
"Beck." I said.
"Bro, relax. She's capable of looking after herself. And they're just friends." Beck said. Jade looked at me.
"It's not just friends is it?" Isaac asked.
"I don't know." I said. "I've got homework to do so I should probably do that." I said standing up and walking upstairs. I was laying on my bed when Jack walked in.
"Hey what's up?" I asked.
"I had a nightmare." Jack said. "Can I sleep with you please?" Jack asked.
"Yeah come on." I said. Jack got in the bed next to me and cuddled into my side.
Dre, the band and I stood up from where we were hidden behind the piano.
"What is going on?" Trina asked.
"Just relax." Dre said turning on the smoke machine as Tori walked past the hallway.
"Happy birthweek, Trina." Tori said hugging her sister.
"Thanks. So where is my present?" Trina asked. Tori looked at Dre and I.
"Are you kidding me?" Tori asked.
"No. Where's my birthweek present?" Trina asked.
"Mom, dad, could you please take Andre, Morgan and everyone outside?" Tori asked.
"But it's raining." Mrs Vega said.
"Here's an umbrella." Tori said.
"This way, everyone." Mr Vega said.
"I'll just walk to Beck's and he can take me home." I said. I walked to Beck's trailer and he gave me a ride home.
I was sat in English class while Jade was doing a review of a play.
"But the most surprising part Of the play Happened at the end When the monster Gouged out pricilla's eyes, Which, for whatever reason, I found really funny. Questions?" Jade asked.
"I have two questions." Sinjin said.
"Okay, no questions. Great, I'm done." Jade said sitting in front of me.
"Thank you, Jade, For that disturbing report. Robbie, you're up." Our teacher said.
"Right. Hello, everybody." Robbie said.
"Hi." Cat said getting glares off most of the class.
"My report is on vaudeville. Now, if you all look at... Oh, my God." Robbie trailed off.
"Your grandmother Wants to chat." Cat said.
"Robbie, Robbie, Can you see me now?" Robbie's grandmother asked.
"Hi, Mammaw. Is this important? 'Cause I'm kinda in the middle of..." Robbie got cut off.
"How do I open the internet?" His grandmother asked.
"Grandma, grandma, You're on the internet. We couldn't be video-Chatting If you weren't on... " Robbie tried.
"Hey, Robbie, I see your puppet. Are you still taking your puppet To school?" His grandmother asked.
"Rex is not a puppet." Robbie said.
"Maury, Robbie still plays With his puppet." Robbie's grandmother yelled.
"I'm in the bathroom." The man yelled back.
"Doing what?" Robbie's grandmother asked. Our class was laughing minus Isaac who felt sorry for his friend. Robbie collapsed in embarrassment. Isaac lifted his friend off the floor.
"Robbie, Robbie, Robbie." His grandmother said. Jade and I walked down the hall to see Tori.
Hey, Vega! Tori." Jade said.
"What?" Tori asked as I sipped my coffee.
"Try this coffee and tell me what it tastes like." Jade said.
"Hazelnut?" Tori asked trying the coffee.
"I don't know. I found it in the garbage." Jade said.
"Hey, Tori. Hey, Tori's friends." Trina said walking over to us.
"Yeah, I'm not really her friend." Jade said walking away. I followed her.

Part 1 - Killing Roar: When Perry was blessed with a platypus beast soul, he thought his chances of joining the village guard were over. No one had every heard of a platypus. It seemed like an obvious prey soul, given it wasn't in the village's records. Only the strongest could be part of the village guard. He thought that would never get the chance to defend the village from the spike feeders, the deadly creatures jutting out with hazardous spikes haphazardly all over. Only predator beast souls were given the requisite training and allowed to join the village guard. Perry just didn't meet their criteria. He was also wrong.Soon Perry will live out his wildest dreams and more, as he scales the rankings of beast soul mastery, fights innumerable dangerous spike feeders and solves mysteries related to the origin of beast souls and spike feeders. And maybe, just maybe, he'll even get to join the city guard. Genre-wise, Mortal Mewling is a GameLit story (light on the GameLit) focused on action and adventure. The Gore tag is there more as a precaution, rather than a promise to keep producing gory words. Mortal Mewling is a bit of a slow burn in terms of start, scale and capacity of the protagonist. Book 2... has now begun! Updates Monday and Thursday
