《The Guy Named Harrison: Book One》22

She was so much closer to the guys on the team, found Harrison, and worked her way into their plans.
That included being invited by Harrison and the guys to what they called 'yacht week.' It took place in early September just before the end of summer.
Every year, plenty of the Panthers players pitched in to rent a luxury yacht for three days. The front office hated it because it fell right smack in the middle of the season. Eventually they were able to pull it off on a few terms. It started on Monday and lasted through Wednesday. Thursday was for recovering from hangover. Friday and Saturday was back to work for Sunday's game.
More players than Carrie expected showed with their families. It was about half the team. His closest friends Cam, Luke, Christian, Greg, Kelvin, and Thomas all came with their families.

Harrison found Carrie on the front of the ship, taking in the view. The wind was gently rustling her brown hair. She didn't notice his presence until he held a glass of wine in front of her.
She turned around. "Thanks."
He took a sip of his wine as she leaned against the rail. "It's beautiful, isn't it?"
"Definitely is."
Harrison moved to stand next to her. He wrapped an arm around her while she moved to lean against him. "This is going to be so much fun."
Carrie scooted in between him and the rail. Holding the wine glass in one hand, she used the other to pull his face in for a kiss. His hand slipped down to her waist as he deepened the kiss.
The couple got so caught up in the kisses they'd shared, that neither noticed someone sneak up from behind. She looked at Harrison and they both turned to see Luke holding a speaker while singing rather horribly.

"Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you, go on."
"Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you, go on
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart and my heart will go on and on."
Carrie started to giggle as Harrison held his face in his hands. Meanwhile Luke kept going as laughter echoed from more of his teammates. Very funny Luke.
He continued to sing until their laughter combined with the rest of the teams laughter was too much for him. "Am I interrupting something?"
"Yes you are," Harrison shot back.
Luke smiled. "Sorry, didn't know we were recreating the Titanic up here."
Carrie blushed. "Looks like we found the new Celine Dion."
"Shall I continue my encore?"
"Yes. Now Harrison, would you like this dance?"
He took both wine glasses and sat them on the deck. Taking Carrie's hand, he led her to a flat piece of deck and once Luke began to sing again, he placed his hands on her hips while she put both of her small hands on his chest.
Once the song and Luke really picked up, he spun her a few times. One time he kissed the back of her hand and bowed before pulling her back in his embrace.
Luke's voice was beginning to get hoarse as he made it into the final stretch.
"You're here, there's nothing I fear
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart and my heart will go on and on."
The song ended with Luke's very noticeable voice crack, getting everyone to laugh. Then they clapped as Harrison and Carrie took a bow.
"Thank you. And thanks to our newest Celine Dion."
"You're quite welcome. Although, that hurt my throat."
"Let's hear that on the field now," Harrison teased. "Maybe you can sing the national anthem one of these times."
Luke was quick to shake his head. "I don't know about that."
Carrie patted his chest as she passed by. "Come on, you can do it."

Modded Skyr*m: Real Life Edition
It seems that I died while I was playing VR Skyr*m. The next thing I knew, I was standing in front of the middle-aged man who called himself The Overlord of Dremora and Dragons. He told me they were releasing Skyr*m: Real-Life Edition. However, you have to be dead first to play it, and I was chosen as a 'beta tester' of sorts. I found myself in a semi-realistic (thanks to mods) world, and I want to have fun and relax for the rest of my life, and maybe get back to Earth. There's just a small *RAWR* problem. Setting: This happens within the world in The Legend of the Fake Hero, specifically two arcs from now. About: I am writing this for fun as a side project. I intend this to be semi-interactive as I will have polls where readers can influence the book's direction. I have the final say because I believe that too many cooks in the kitchen are not a good thing. The plan is to write it in parts that are around 1-2k words. Typically around every 3 to 6 parts, they will be combined into a finalized chapter and re-edited for a smoother read. Release schedule: When I feel like it. I'll be more inclined to write if there is more interaction, both in comments and polls, towards the story. However, I will be focusing on The Legend of the Fake Hero because that is something I own entirely and enjoy. I will try to do consistent uploads. Disclaimer: This work falls under fair use as it is a partial parity, does not affect the value of the original work, is an original story within the setting (within my setting), and is not being sold. All IP belongs to their respective owners (including myself). Currently uploading on Scribble Hub and Royal Road under the same username.
