《The Guy Named Harrison: Book One》95

By the time the planes were unloaded and players were taken to their hotels, it was about 2 in the afternoon.
After dropping everything off in their hotel, Harrison and Carrie decided to head to the stadium which was only a few blocks away. It was easily seen from their hotel room.
Each player was assigned at least two security guards. In Harrison's case, since they would be out in public without team security, they were assigned two more. Carrie followed him down to the lobby where they were met by their four security guards.
They were then escorted to the back of the private hotel and to the team rented car that would take them to the stadium. Fans began shouting his name as soon as he stepped outside. Harrison and one of the security guards quickly loaded all his things in the car and they were off.
Harrison and Carrie had only been in the car for 5 minutes when they approached the stadium. It was a lot bigger than she expected it to be and it had a very cool shape to it.
They were driven to the back of the stadium and to the players parking lot. Now they were safe from fans who wanted autographs and pictures with him. Leaving the security guards by the car, the two of them carried all his things inside.
Harrison had to show his pass only once to get in. Then nobody else tried to stop them as they walked through the stadium and to the locker room.
Being the home team, they got to use the Vikings locker room. And on top of that, they got to use the Vikings practice facility right next to the stadium. The Steelers had to use one of the college facilities not too far away.

Carrie gasped when she saw the locker room. It looked very familiar to the one at home. The Vikings wallpaper had been taken down, and replaced with Panthers wallpaper. There were three large carpets with the Panthers logo on them and a large tv at the very end.
Harrison quickly found his locker and dropped his bags beside it. It was the closest to the tunnel on the right side.
"This is nice."
He nodded. "It really is. Now let's unpack all this."
Carrie pulled his chair out from its spot just in front of the locker and started to dig through his bag and hand him things. "First, helmet."
Harrison hung that on the hook just outside of his locker. "Shoulder pads."
There was a large top shelf at the top of his locker. It was under the Panthers logo and his name and number. Harrison shoved his shoulder pads up on the shelf, followed by three pairs of cleats. He held the fourth box in his hand. Carrie watched him place those ones in one of the small shelves along the left side of his locker.
He handed her the box. "These ones are for game day."
She handed him his new jersey with the Super Bowl 52 logo on the right side. On the left was his gold captains patch for being a 6th year captain.
Next came the pants that she handed to him with hangers. Harrison hung both the jersey and pants on the far right. "What's next?"
"Leg pads and other pair of shoulder pads."
He hung his compression shorts with the lower body padding right next to his jersey. His second pair of shoulder pads were blue and not even close to being as big as the other ones. Harrison put those on a hanger and placed them next to his compression shorts.

"This is nice," Carrie admitted.
She was holding his newest warm up jacket. It was all white with the Panthers logo and number 59 on the left side, and the Super Bowl logo on the other.
"That is the nicest warm up jacket I've ever gotten."
Harrison hung that one up. Next he hung up all his t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, Panthers jacket, practice shirts, practice pants, and a few dress shirts and dress pants. Carrie then handed him a suit.
"Why do you need a suit?"
"I'm going to get interviewed a hell of a lot in the next week and a half."
Harrison packed his game socks as well as a few pairs for practice and football gloves into one of the small shelves. He threw his new Bose headphones in that same shelf as well.
In the shelf above, Harrison packed all his Gatorade and protein snacks that he would have during practice this week.
"Here's a pair of sneakers."
Harrison put those below all his clothes. There was on last shelf above his clothes that needed to be filled. He placed three of his new Panthers hats up there as well as a winter hat.
"Anything else?"
Carrie pulled out three framed pictures. One was of their first date, the other when he proposed, and the last one was a framed picture of her second sonogram that she got last week.
"These are adorable."
"I look at these a lot before games."
"You do?"
Harrison nodded and placed a hand on her belly. "Because I know you two will be cheering me on."
He placed the pictures next to all his hats. "Wanna go see the field?"
Carrie nodded. Harrison quickly shoved his backpack and duffel bag under his clothes and led her out of the locker room. They passed the trainers room, the weight room, and were into the tunnel when he started to jog.
She kept up with him as he jogged through the tunnel. Carrie knew it was his normal routine on game days. After messing around in his locker, he quickly jogged out to the field.
Harrison was waiting for her on the sidelines. Carrie came out of the tunnel and gasped again. The stadium was beautiful. Right now, the grounds crew was working on repainting the turf for the Super Bowl, so they couldn't go on the field right now.
As he tried to pick her up and spin her around, Carrie pointed out the field level club seats. "These are going to cost a fortune."
"You're damn right. Think of what they would cost for a normal game and multiply that by 10. Those would be a couple thousand dollars each for the Super Bowl."
When she wasn't paying attention, he picked her up to give her a piggy back ride. "Where are we going?"
Harrison started walking as she wrapped her arms around him. "Around the field. When they finish painting, maybe tomorrow, we'll come play catch."
"Okay."

There were no boundaries, it was endless, nothing to indicate that there was something within the distance. He grasped his hands and looked upwards towards the sky as he lifted his hands up. A dark void appeared in front of him, but only to disappear once again. Voices entered his thoughts, pain struck his head, he gripped onto his hair and groaned in agony. He looked forward and saw an image blurred in front of him, fading in and out. “Young one... “ the blurred image simply spoke. The young boy didn’t say anything and only looked down at his wound on his chest. It was a large gaping hole that passed through him, however there was no blood spilling out from it, the veins and arteries only dangled in place where a heart was supposed to be. Realising the cause of this scene the boy asked. “Am… I dead?” “Hahaha, no not at all.” A wispy tired voice simply chuckled “Then… what do you want with a dead man… but my hands...boy?” “ Well Do you…” “Do I?” “Want to change fate?” Welcomed edits and suggestions.
