Xi Xiaye screamed a bit when he pulled her over suddenly.

The pleasant and familiar scent bathed all over her.

Xi Xiaye shivered slightly, and she was lifted up before she even realized what was happening. She tumbled in his arms as he sealed her lips with a kiss!

When she struggled a little, he suppressed her and locked her down firmly. He gave her consecutive kisses with the intent to punish her, his little vine viciously conquering each and every part of her.

He would prove that he could keep his woman under control right now!

"Mmm... Let go, bastard... Thug!" She struggled as she tried to push him away from her.

"Thug? I'm doing it with my own woman. With your logic, wouldn't every man in the world be a thug then? I was so worried about you throughout the whole night. It's not too much to ask something back from you now! I have my ways of dealing with you. Otherwise, you'll forget what I say!"

He pressed her struggling hands with one hand while the other explored through her garment. There was a loud ripping noise — her dress ended its short life!

"My dress! I just bought it last week... You... Mmm..."

Under the dim lights, several black shadows flew out from the bed. Soon after, a soft moan followed.

Once again, this man was usually seen gentle and elegant, but at certain times, he was definitely a beast. A bad, wild beast.

The pitiful Xi Xiaye was forced to succumb and admit her fault. She promised to not do it again and she was also forced to say, "Xi Xiaye will belong to Mu Yuchen forever."

Afterward, she curled up on the bed with the blanket over her. She watched the man return to his gentlemanly self as he lay there casually making a call to Mu Lingshi as if he had been a totally different person moments ago.

"I'm so happy that I might just die out of happiness!" She rolled her eyes at him and turned away from him.

"That should be the way. You can rest easy now knowing he's miserable."

He put on a warm smile as he closed in, resting his face on her hair as he spoke, "I'm sorry for today. I promise it'll never happen again. Ah Mo told me that there's a phone GPS tracker, so I've told him to get us the same brand of phones. Then, we'll know where we all are at all times."

"Where did you go today?"

She squinted at him and threw him a judging stare. "I smell the perfume of another woman from you..."

"What nonsense are you talking about? It's CEO Zhang's club."

"Really?"

"Mmm!"

The next morning, Mu Yuchen woke up early as usual while Xi Xiaye was still sleeping in bed.

However, both of them did not know a storm was slowly closing in onto them.

As usual, Mu Yuchen was preparing breakfast in the kitchen when the doorbell suddenly rang. In a glance, he noticed that it was Ah Mo and the others, so he opened the door with a button to let them in.

Mu Yuchen stopped his movements when he heard Ah Mo's heavy tone. He spun around to Ah Mo. "What happened?"

Ah Mo handed a newspaper to Mu Yuchen. "Take a look, Master. This is the newspaper from this morning. Look at the photos!"

Mu Yuchen took the newspapers from Ah Mo with a frown and he glanced through them.

It contained many intimate photos of Qi Lei holding Xi Xiaye into the Grand Lake Areas. A whole page was used to cover the gossip and Mu Yuchen already knew what the contents were without even needing to read it!

His eyes darkened instantly!

He remembered that one of the photos was the one that was sent to Ah Mo's phone. He thought...

"Wasn't that photo from Qi Lei?" Mu Yuchen threw Ah Mo a sharp gaze.

Ah Mo nodded. "I thought he sent it to me, but it doesn't seem like it now! News like this doesn't benefit him in any way! Just who would do this?! This isn't only harmful to Qi Lei, but even to Missus. Things might escalate very quickly from here on. Such cheap tricks! They serve multiple purposes for just one move!"

Mu Yuchen still seemed calm as he studied the photos quietly. This situation felt oddly familiar. It had happened before!

After giving it some thought, a light flashed past his eyes!

Was it not the same when Xi Xiaye's intimate photo with Han Yifeng had been exposed?

The only difference was the guy involved this time. He had overlooked it. He thought it was Qi Lei's cheap trick trying to provoke him!

Ah Mo noticed Mu Yuchen's change of expression, so he pressed his voice low as he asked, "Master, what should we do now?"

Mu Yuchen tossed the newspaper into a nearby bin. There was a brimming light in his eyes although his expression still seemed calm. He continued what he was doing before he spoke calmly, "Don't tell your sister-in-law about this yet. We'll observe what happens first."

"But, Master, if this is known, it might put Missus at a disadvantage. It'll create a lot of rumors about Missus and you too. Grandfather and Grandmother will be worried," Ah Mo replied after some hesitation.

Mu Yuchen grabbed a plate and put a beautifully fried egg on it before he glanced at Ah Mo. "If you're feeling bored, I've been pretty unhappy with several news companies recently. Go and deal with them. Teach them what they should or shouldn't say. They don't have to stay in the industry anymore if they don't know what the rules are."

His tone of voice was still calm as usual, yet Ah Mo could sense the bitterness in it.

"Have breakfast here before you go. I won't be going to the office in the next few days." Mu Yuchen gave Ah Mo a casual glance before handing the plate of breakfast to him.

Mu Yuchen started frying the second egg. His smooth gestures mesmerized Ah Mo slightly. Suddenly, Ah Mo said, "Master, we can send one or two chefs over. You don't have to cook yourself every time. You..."

Mu Yuchen smiled. "Our peace will be disturbed if they come. Anyway, this is my hobby too. Your sister-in-law isn't used to the food they make."

"Master, Lingshi said you're very nice to Mi... Sister-in-law..."

"Are you nice to Lingshi?"

Although Wang Hui had given him a lot of hints before, he did not get any of them.

"Still the same, Master. You don't have to worry about us. I'm happy with the way things are right now." Ah Mo lowered his head and smiled.

Mu Yuchen glanced at him. "Are you happy now? If you don't work harder, when are our parents going to see their grandchildren? If you love a woman, then it's natural to marry her and give her a wedding. Give her happiness. If you don't even have the confidence that you can provide happiness to her, you aren't worthy of loving someone."

Ah Mo was stunned for a moment. He almost forgot that his Master always went straight to the point.

As he put on a bitter smile and was about to say something, Mu Yuchen glanced at him and asked, "Are you doubting whether you can truly give her happiness?"

Ah Mo shook his head quickly and gave a firm reply, "Of course not! I'm confident about that!"

Mu Yuchen's grin grew wider and he chuckled. "Actually, I'm very impressed that your feelings for Lingshi have never changed. At least, I won't feel as guilty. I didn't know much about relationships in the past, so I kept myself out of things between Lingshi and you, and now... Brother, I understand how you feel. We can't really control it."

Ah Mo found his words relatable. At the same time, he felt a slight twinge deep inside his heart.

His master rarely spoke about his feelings, especially in the past. The atmosphere around would change rapidly as soon as the certain topic was mentioned, but now he was able to break free of those taboo, so Ah Mo was really exhilarated for him.

Ah Mo suddenly said quietly, "Master, we know you have kind intentions. That's not what you intended to do. Ah Shi doesn't mind. We think it's all worth it as long as Sister-in-law and you are fine."

"Ah Mo, I'm not asking you to prove your loyalty. I'm talking about Lingshi and you."

"Master, we..."

A rare blush appeared on Ah Mo's handsome face while he lowered his head as he had no idea what to say. He coughed several times.

"Alright, I'm telling you this because I don't want you two to get stuck for too long. There'll be a war coming soon," Mu Yuchen spoke as he casually fried an egg in the pan.

"Do you mean that..." Ah Mo looked at him intently.

Mu Yuchen took a deep breath. "A lot of things that happened lately were all directed towards me. It's pretty obvious."

Ah Mo balled his fists. "Master, we won't let them hurt you and Sister-in-law!"

"You and Lingshi shouldn't be involved. I know what to do. I'll leave Movie City in City B and Chenye Movies and Televisions to Vice President Liu and you. You're mostly recovered now, so you should take charge there."

"Master, please let me stay by your side. Li Si might be a more suitable candidate than me over there! He's been working with Vice President Liu lately and he's been handling the tasks spectacularly. I want to stay in City Z, not only for you, but it's also..."

Ah Mo did not specify his reason, but Mu Yuchen understood what he meant.

Xi Xiaye did not wake up when they were having breakfast. Ah Mo left swiftly after he had his meal. Deep down, he was worried about the news. He had to be wary about it even if his Master did not really care. He was really mad about what the newspapers had written.

However, Ah Mo was confused about how Qi Lei was related to Xi Xiaye. He sort of knew who had done this. It was definitely not Qi Lei, but he was having a headache just thinking about what this might lead to.

It was already afternoon when Xi Xiaye was awakened by the noise Mu Yuchen made when he drew the curtains open.

When she heard the sound, she swiveled towards the source and saw the man right beside the window. The warm sunlight streamed in, announcing the beauty of the scenery outside.

She rubbed her sleepy eyes while her voice was still slightly hoarse. "What time is it?"

"It's 2 p.m. now. Wash up and come down to eat something. You didn't even have dinner last night. You've got to take care of your own health."

He walked over and put his hand on her forehead before she could react. "Mmm, you're fine now. Your sore throat will get better if you drink more water, and you still need to take your medicine."

As Xi Xiaye sat up and moved a little, she noticed that her whole body ached and she felt very uncomfortable.

It must be because of last night.

She threw him a glare.

He chuckled and helped her up. "I've prepared the bath water for you. Your clothes are on the hanger."

"Don't do that position again." She scowled.

"What position?" He raised his eyebrows and shot her an odd smile.

Xi Xiaye grabbed a pillow and threw it at him before she stood up. Immediately, the blanket fell off her, so she was totally naked!

With a shrill shriek, she quickly picked the blanket back up to cover herself.

Mu Yuchen caught the pillow deftly. "Missus, I noticed that your body seems to be getting better."

Xi Xiaye's eyes brightened and she looked at him in surprise as she put her hand on her waist. "Really? I thought I might've gotten fatter recently..."

He smiled. This girl pretended like she did not really care, but she was really concerned about her figure.

This cunning man dealt with it with just a simple compliment.

Xi Xiaye quickly washed up before lunch. She then looked at him reading through some documents on the sofa. "Aren't you heading to the office today?"

"There's no point going every day when I've already arranged the tasks. Otherwise, what would differentiate me from all my employees?" He continued straightforwardly without even averting his gaze, "You should rest at home for a few days. I've applied leave for you."

Xi Xiaye frowned but did not say anything. She just walked towards him slowly.

When she got nearer, he dragged her into his arms.

Xi Xiaye sat down and leaned into him, stealing a glance at the document in his hand. "What project is this?"

"Movie City. Ah Mo wants to be transferred back to City Z. What do you think?" he asked for her opinion.

She gave it some thought. "That's good. It'd be better for him to stay here as his relationship with Ah Shi is progressing. Although there's more room to grow for him over there, it's a sensitive period right now. I'm sure such chances will present itself in the future. Haven't you heard before that it's difficult to maintain a long distance relationship?"

"A long distance relationship?" He gave her a surprised look before smiling. "Don't worry. This won't affect them, but since you think so, I'll respect his decision then."

"Mmm, actually I think Ah Shi might feel lonely. It'd be great for Ah Mo to be by her side. He's much more sensible than you. Several days ago, I was on a call with Su Nan and she told me that she bumped into Ah Mo and Ah Shi shopping around at the New Era Plaza for quite some time. I've never seen you come shopping with me," she ranted.

"I'll go shopping with you tomorrow."

His kind intent earned him an eye roll instead.

"I'm heading to the west of the city tomorrow. Sis Li messaged me that Sis Lan is arriving tonight. We should be able to find her tomorrow."

She suddenly remembered Sis Li's message. After giving it some thought, she turned to him. "Did you send anyone to investigate Sis Lan?"

"She's a well-known manager within the industry and a daughter of a prestigious family. However, her family went out of business which is why she joined the entertainment industry. Her style of working is very decisive and exceptional. She was working at the company my aunt made her debut at. Aunty was scouted and cultivated, then she became Aunty's manager. They've been together for a very long time, so I'm sure they're very close. They kind of lost contact ever since Aunty was pregnant with Lingtian and retired. When Aunty came out of retirement, she got a different manager, and Sis Lan didn't contact her at all."

Mu Yuchen briefly shared the information he received with Xi Xiaye. "I'm quite surprised. According to the investigation results, they were extremely close during the years that they worked together, but they rarely contacted each other after Aunty retired. They didn't even greet each other during the holidays and celebrations too. Why would she come back to visit Aunty's grave?"

"Not contacting doesn't mean they don't care. I think with Aunty's condition at that point in time, it might've been better if they didn't contact each other. You know the paparazzi are sharp. Maybe that was her concern," Xi Xiaye voiced out her thoughts.

"I'll go with you tomorrow. Remember to bring Zitong along as well." He gave her a reminder before going back to reading his document.

Xi Xiaye nodded, but then glared at him when she saw that he went back to his documents again. An idea of a prank went through her head. Stealthily, she wrapped her arms around his shoulder as she closed in and touched him sensually.

He definitely would not be able to calm down!

His hand wrapped around her waist uncontrollably when her pleasant scent bathed all over him. "Stay put..."

"I'm staying put..." She smiled as her eyes brightened.

He suddenly put his document away and glanced at her. "It seems like you're not satisfied from last night!"

As he was about to grab her, Xi Xiaye stood up swiftly and ran away!
