《Princess on the Loose [Completed]》Chapter 37

Today was the day they'd be announcing who the winners are. I was confident but at the same time my heart was beating like hell. Am I going to be the winner? Or did someone get higher points than me?
"You're going to be the winner," a voice said from behind. I turned but the person didn't let me, he wrapped his arms around me. Feeling his familiar touch made me sigh. I closed my eyes and leaned back.
I felt him lean down until his mouth was beside my ear. "I missed you," he said making me melt like butter.
"Me too. . .I missed you too," I replied, putting my hands on his.
He nuzzled his head against the nape of my neck and began kissing it slowly. I moaned at the feel of his sensational kisses. His warm mouth was going its way up to my jaw until he made me turn my head to the side and kiss him on the mouth.
The kiss was in no hurry. It was slow, exploratory, and tantalizing. He bit my lips for entrance and I granted it. He then deepened the kiss as he pulled me closer to his hard chest.
When he let go I looked at his dark eyes, they looked drunk with lust and love?
"Falling for me?" He smirked, ruining the moment.
I bolted from his arms. "Never."
I began to walk away, my face probably as red as freaking blood. He walked beside me with long strides, his hands tucked in his pants as he looked at me cockily. "You sure?"
"Very sure."
"You love me already."
Was it too obvious?
"When I kiss people it doesn't mean I love them," I explained.
His reaction was instant. He caught my wrist and twirled me to face him. Holding on my waist, he pulled me to him, locking his arms around me so I wouldn't escape.
"What do you mean you kiss people?" His eyes had a dangerous light in them. I decided to joke around a little but clearly I wasn't thinking of my safety.
"Yes Gavier, if you didn't know yet you're not the only guy I kiss." I really hoped he would let go of me then but his hold tightened even more.
His face was hilarious. He looked ashen. His eyes turned into a darker shade and it pierced right through me. He's angry. Oh no.

"That's it." He said as he gritted his teeth.
"What do you mean that's it?"
He suddenly hauled me to his shoulder making me scream.
"We're getting married," he said with finality.
"W-what? Are you crazy?! Put me down!"
"This is what happens when you play with fire Clarissa, you get burnt."
"Okay! Sorry! I wasn't kissing anyone but you! Please don't marry me yet!" I pleaded for mercy.
He finally put me down then glared at me in the eyes. "Don't joke about that again," he threatened.
I was frozen but I managed to nod my head quickly.
He suddenly swooped down to kiss me but it was intense. My toes curled and my heart couldn't help but beat faster.
He held my hand. "Let's go."
We went, hand in hand to the venue where'd they announce the winners. I was smiling the whole time and Gavier noticed.
"Why are you smiling?"
"You."
"Me what?"
"Your face."
Gavier growled as he rolled his eyes. "Let that be a lesson Clarissa. Next time I will really let it happen."
"Yes sire!" I chuckled and he stared at me then pinched my cheek.
Hundreds of people were already seated in the huge room. Gavier and I sat at the front which was saved by Lucas and Nessa. Ria had to do her painting lesson so she couldn't come but she assumed I was goying to win anyway. Eric, I'm not really sure where he was.
"Bro and Clarissa, you might wanna lessen the flirting," Lucas commented.
Nessa laughed and I blushed.
"It's her fault." Gavier rolled his eyes and sat down.
"How is that my fault?"
Gavier pecked me on the lips so quickly, making me wonder if it had really happened. "You know why." He winked.
Lucas and Nessa were still laughing but I was frozen as usual. Gavier had that power over me.
"Good morning everyone!" It was a lady now who spoke. She wore fabulous clothes and had a chihuahua nuzzling at her feet.
"Today we will be announcing the winners of the perfect princess and perfect prince for this year 2015!"
Cheers from the audience echoed in the room.
"My dear ladies, princesses, heiresses, princes, heirs, gentlemen, I know you have all tried your best. We've seen remarkable talents and skills in all of you. And we thank you for your exceptional performance."

"But unfortunately there can only be two winners; those individuals who have achieved the highest points in the competition."
"First I will announce the perfect prince. Are you all ready?"
A bunch of yesses filled the air.
"I want to congratulate Prince Levinnause, Prince of Canada for winning the competition! Prince Levi was a genius since birth and in the competition he has showed his magnificent intelligence through the course. Let us give him a round of applause!"
Levi stood up and bowed like a gentleman in front of everyone. He still had that professional handsome geek face till the end. I felt happy for him but this was soon replaced by horror.
Right beside the judges was Queen Elizabeth. The male judges like Hitler dude was nowhere to be seen. And she was smiling like a Cheshire cat, grinning at me. That can't be good.
As the clapping died down, the woman cleared her throat.
"As for the perfect princess may I congratulate Princess Ellaria for winning the competition this year. She has showed enough skills to become a professional stuntswoman. . ."
My ears blocked out the woman's voice. All I could see in front of me was Queen Bitch, as if she had won instead.
I lost.
I didn't win.
Sorry. . . Sorry daddy.
The feeling of sadness and failure weighed on me and my chest heaved, my heart palpitating hard. Did I really not hear my name?
Beside me, Gavier looked furious, as if he was about to murder someone. Lucas looked angry as well while Nessa had her hand covering her mouth.
As I let my ears hear the voices again, I hear gasps and protests but cheers were also evident.
Ellaria stood up looking mad. She sprinted to the stage and backflipped her way up, kicking the mike off the woman's hand and catching it as she stood erect.
"This is preposterous," she began, "I cannot accept this. When I was going to be abducted yesterday I beat the guy to the pulp in front of the mother who said she needed my help and I didn't even give her time to explain. I left her. So why the hell did I win woman? You're not nice and you don't smell like you have cookies." She glared at her and crossed her arms.
I gasped as the rest of the spectators. 'I-i Y-you--"
"This is enough!" Gavier stood up.
"I agree son, but let me take care of this." A tall, broad man patted Gavier's back. There were two bodyguards at his side.
"King Czarkshaw."
"Dad."
"Uncle." Lucas eyes were wide.
He was handsome, and had a striking resemblance with Gavier. He looked intimidating but charming at the same time. Gavier's dad oozes coolness and power from his entire being. What's the word? . .Awesome, Magnetic, yeah that's it.
"Catia, stop this nonsense now. I know Elizabeth bribed you to change the real winner. I'm disappointed in all of you. And if this happens again, you don't want to know what I'll do." He looked coolly at them, his grey eyes seemed to see through their souls.
Queen Elizabeth gasped like the rest of the judges. They tried to say something all at the same time but Gavier's dad held his hand up to stop them.
"Excuses, I don't want to hear them. Continue with the announcement and if you dare mock me again and say what I don't want to hear, I'm going to throw you someplace worst than hell. Am I clear?" He sounded calm and patient but it made me feel shivers from head to toe.
They gulped. "Yes, your majesty."
"Don't forget that I own this school. I know everything. I see everything." With that he turned around, his red long cape fluttered behind him.
He eyed me and smiled a little. "Good catch son."
"Of course, I don't disappoint anyone dad."
He chuckled and pat him at the back once again. It was deep and it held authority above others. Nobody dared move after they had cleared a path for the honorable king and as soon as the double doors shut, everyone was still rooted on the ground.
The woman cleared her throat once again. "S-sorry. What I said earlier wasn't right. The winner for th-this year's c-competition. . " She looked at me. She was still shaking from the king's words. "Is Lady Clarissa Marie Valdez!" She managed to shout but it was in a high-pitched tone.
Gavier carried me then threw me up, making me scream once again.
I can't believe I won.
It's done.
I can finally go home.
Little did I know that my life in the academy was far from over.
