《FALLEN》CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT.

I stared up at the ceiling, my hands interlocked and resting flatly on my stomach. My mind continued to daze off into a wonderland of thoughts. Precious pictures of him flashing across my mind, as well as memories I'd take with me forever.
A gulp formed in my throat.
I was leaving. I had announced to Mr Joan's exactly yesterday at 9PM, that I was resigning from this position and would no longer be a nurse. He was furious, much like I had expected him to be. He tried to change my mind.
"Why must you be so immature and unfair, Belle? Isn't there anything I can do to change your mind and stop you from taking such a drastic decision?"
He had almost pleaded.
"No. Not unless you blow what Sam and I had off and let everything go back to normal. Let Sam be free."
I had argued back. We then had a little stare down and disappointment flashed across those heartless eyes of his.
"You have until tomorrow to have your things packed and ready. I'll have your final pay check and resignation letter ready."
He had flatly said, the little spark of determination no longer playing in his eyes. I both smirked and frowned at that. I was happy that he had finally realized he wouldn't win this argument and he wasn't the powerful one - I was. But I frowned, knowing that this man's heart was truly made out of stone. He knew we loved one another, he heard me say it himself - yet he went along with his actions.
"Thank you. That was all I came for."
I had flatly told him, turning on my heels to leave the door. However, I never failed to miss the words he said.
"It's a disappointment to see you go. I would have had you in my hands, sooner or later. But you fell into that criminal's. I hope you can walk away from this prison, knowing you've been taken advantage of and that from a prisoner. You're the more powerful one, yet you once again remind me how naïve you women are."
He had ignorantly said. I had paused, glancing at him with a hard glare, disgusted by his choice of words and his opinion itself.
"And that reminds me how disgusting you are. You like to act so big and hard, feeling as if you have such high power. But the people you think so low of - you're really no different at all. I'm going to ignore that you basically threw a sexual comment my way and walk away like the bigger person. I'm disgusted by you, Joan. You're really no better. Now, have a good life. I'm glad I'll no longer be apart of it - but now that I think about it; I never really was."
I had let out a deep breath and lastly walked away. A feeling of smugness and dare I say it...triumph floating inside of me.
For once that bastard hadn't fully won
I frowned as I turned to rest on my side. The only little, sick, victory he had managed to get a hold of, was him being able to take Sam away from me. But I wouldn't let him see how much it truly affected.
I had promised Sam myself.
I'm not sure how long it had been, but we both were holding onto one another. My head lay on his shoulder, trying my hardest to not cry. He softly rubbed my back, making me sigh and shove my head a little closer to him - if that was possible. There wasn't a single space of distance between us.

"This sucks," I heard him lowly say, clearing his throat right after. I nodded along, feeling my heart shatter from hearing him say that. It truly did. Knowing that I could no longer see the man I so loved everyday - it sucked. It sucked big time.
"It does." I whispered, his hand continuing to gently rub my back. His touch left tingles, sparks and all sorts of cliché things. He was just capable of doing that to me. Another few minutes past, and silence welcomed itself back into the air.
I hated it.
I hated having to feel this - to grow through our situation.
I simply, greatly; hated it.
"You know what? We're not doing this," Sam suddenly said, making me pull my head out of his shoulder. My eyes locked with his, my brows furrowing in confusion. His eyes skimmed over my face, a hand reaching out to trail a finger across it. It was as if he was trying to memorize me.
"What do you mean?" I softly asked. The corner of his lips twitched upwards, but the sadness continued to play in his eyes, only pointing out how false it was.
"This is not the last moment I want with you, Belle." He rasped, licking his pink lips. My eyes instantly darted towards them for a brief second, before returning my gaze to his eyes.
"I don't want it to be us clinging onto one another as if we'll never see one another again, no. I don't want to see tears leaving those precious blue orbs of yours. I refuse to." He almost growled. His voice traveled right down to my core, making me shiver a little.
"Then how do you want our last moment to be?" I whispered, almost deeply. His eyes skimmed over my face, before he suddenly lent forward, our noses brushing against one another. His lips inches away from mine - so close to connecting.
"Like this," He rasped and gave no warning before completely leaning forward and pressing his pillow-like lips against mine. I held in a moan, unable to word the intensity I felt from having his lips on mine. Immediately, my hands flew out to trail over his toned chest. While his didn't hesitate to explore my behind, thirstily groping it inside his hands.
His tongue caressed mine, wetness pressed against it. It grew more heated, making me push myself further into him. His crotch pressed right against my own.
"Something special," He breathlessly said, watching as I grinded my hips against his. I could feel his member, excited and ready to be touched. Much like my throbbing region.
"Fuck," I cursed, feeling myself grow more wet. One of his hands held a steady grip on my waist, while the other took not time to clutch my butt in his hands, leaving a few spanks. Oddly, that turned me on even more.
"Show me something special." I breathed out, and that's when the lust took over his hazel eyes. The desire clearly shining in his powerful orbs. His hands trailed towards to the hem of my blouse, not questioning me, before pulling it off. I helped him, wanting to feel his hands on my body.
"Your tits are perfect," He lowly growled, his hands cupping my lace covered breast. I unconsciously moaned, his lips slowly plastering kisses against the swell of them. All whilst he pleasingly fondled my hardened nipples.
"Oh, my." I whispered, feeling his hands creep behind me to undo my bra. Swiftly, he pulled it of and didn't hesitate to hungrily attack my bare breast. Moans flew from my lips, his tongue swirling around my left tip. The wetness and warmth, making me buck my hips for some sort of pleasure down there.

He pinched and tugged at them, leaving marks against my chest. He sucked on them, making intense eye-contact with me. A jolt of arousal shot inside of me.
"More, please. God, please more." I moaned, tangling my hands into his hair. He pulled his lips away from my chest, leaving a soft lick on the valley of my breast. He cupped them in his hands, squeezing them softly as he glanced up at me.
"Strip for me," He demanded. I didn't hesitate to obey his command. I stood up from his lap, my knees almost giving out on me, still feeling high from all his pleasuring actions. I slipped a hand over my jeans, sliding them down and kicking them of my ankles. I pulled my glasses away from my face, putting them to ground. I stood naked, just in my panties.
His eyes shined in lust.
"Everything," He growled. I swallowed, seductively pulling my panties downwards, bending down and throwing them over my shoulder somewhere. The second I stood nude, he shot up out his seat, while his eyes skimmed over my body.
"My beautiful Belle." He rasped into my ear, circling me. I whimpered, feeling his hands glide across my body, tingles being left behind.
"Now, be a good little girl and bend over your desk." I yelped out a moan when feeling his rough hand connect with my behind. I almost came right there.
Blushing, I made my way over to my desk, his eyes following my movement. When I reached it, I tried my hardest to seem seductive as I lent over the cold cherry colored wood, my breast laying flatly on the surface, while I stuck my butt out in the air.
He simply stood and watched me with darken eyes. It looked like appreciation, lust, desire and most of all - love, flowing in his eyes. I swallowed, flipping my hair over my shoulder.
"Well, aren't you going to show me something special?" I asked, licking my lips. That's when he finally snapped out of what seemed to be a daze of some sort and began striping from his sweats. His was already bare from his chest, making me hungrily bite my lips. I simply ignored the bruises, not wanting to think of the man I loved in pain.
He walked over to me, freeing his large member from his boxers. I held in an embarrassing moan, wanting to feel him inside of me already.
"Look at you," He lowly said, trailing a finger over my spine. I shivered, his member brushing against my behind.
"All for you, Sam. I'm all yours." I truthfully got out, all in a moan.
"And I'm yours." He whispered and that's when I felt him line up against my entrance, not hesitating as he pushed himself inside of me.
"Sam," I let out, feeling him fill me up. He groaned along with me, thrusting again inside of me.
"I've dreamed of this, countless of times. I so badly wished to fuck you deeply, hard - while you were bent over this desk." He growled, riding me faster. I arched my back, moaning as I felt his finger slip against my pulsing clit and then gently began to rub it.
"Oh, Sam." I whispered, his pace picking up. I was so close to coming right then.
"Faster! Fuck, harder." I breathlessly got out. He groaned and began pounding into me more deeply, hitting my g-spot at an incredible position.
"I'm close," He placed his finger over my entrance, rubbing faster. I closed my eyes, the pleasure flooding me from head to toe.
"Cum for me." His demand making me lose control instantly. I came on his member, feeling him let go a short second after. We stood still for a few seconds, both of us coming down from a pleasure-filled high.
However, that's when the emotional side of me decided to come out. The tears brimmed at my eyes, not giving me a second to wipe them away before they began to fly out. A quiet sob left my lips, and before I knew it, I was pulled upwards and embraced by his warm arms.
"It's not fair, Sam. I'm going to miss you so much." I cried, as he tightly clutched me to him. Glancing up at him, I saw a fresh tear rolling down his cheek, making my heart break even more.
"I'm going to miss you too, Belle. I love you, my precious Belle." He whispered, placing a soft kiss against my forehead.
"I love you too, Sam."
A tear managed to slip out my eye, making me shake my head and wipe it away. Another week spent lifelessly, and my mind continued to think back to my last moment with him. That significant moment, continued to shamelessly break my heart.
It was the last I would be able to see of him...for a while.
I'd come back to visit him, every single day. Just when everything had died down.
Clearing my throat, I glanced up at the clock. My phone had vibrated a few times, but I was too consumed in my thoughts to check it. Sighing, I pushed myself up from the bed, which would no longer be mine. I wiped my eyes and straightened out my clothing, reaching out to grab a hold of the suitcase handle.
It was time.
With one last sad glance over my room, I flicked off the lights and dragged the suitcase behind me. The sound of it rolling against the ground, sounding all too familiar. I passed closed doors, making my way down the corridor of staff bedrooms. A bubble was sitting inside my stomach.
I rolled my suitcase along with me, passing a few curious Inmates and guards. Some whistled and others gave suggestive looks. Word had gotten around about Sam and I, which somehow made me look like a whore. The inmates didn't hesitate to take advantage of my status currently around here.
I swallowed the bile in my throat, leading myself towards the entrance of the prison. I neared towards it, steps away from walking away from this prison. However, I suddenly heard someone call my name. I peered over my shoulder, to seeing the person I called my 'friend' walking over towards me. I immediately threw my arms him.
"Belle," He whispered, squeezing me tightly. I held in any tears willing to be set free and hugged him back with just as much force.
"Dan," I choked out, his hand gently rubbing my back. I pulled back, smiling sadly up at him. I suddenly remembered the first time I met this amazing, soft, human being. He was so thoughtful, so caring of others - even if he didn't know them. He was truly a funny, warm-hearted and down right genuine person.
"I'm going to miss you." I whispered, wiping my eyes. He half-frowned down at me.
"I'll miss you too, B. But don't you worry, we'll keep in touch." He pointed a finger up at me. I nodded, smiling a little.
"Thank you." I let out. His brows furrowed.
"For what?"
"For being the realest friend I've ever had. You're great, Daniel." I sniffled, and once again reached out to hug him.
"It's been my pleasure. You're like an annoying little sister I never had. I love you." He chuckled. I playfully rolled my eyes, pulling out his hold and play-punching his arm.
"And you're like a whiny older brother." I laughed, seeing him roll his eyes. A glint crossed his eyes when his eyes darted down to my suitcase.
"Well, I guess everything worked out, huh?" He questioned in amusement. I frowned up at him.
"Of course it didn't, Daniel. If I had it my way, Sam wouldn't be in here. He...he doesn't belong here, he's innocent." I blurted out. A smile curled onto his lips and he raised his brows. The gesture made my heart drum a little faster.
"Dan...w-why do I feel like you're not telling me something?" I asked in a whisper. He chuckled, shrugging his shoulders.
"I don't know, B. You'll see for yourself." He winked. I narrowed my eyes at him, huffing at his secretive behaviour. His walkie talkie went off, making my stomach churn.
"I gotta go back to work. Uh, I'll talk to you some time soon." He cleared his throat. We hugged lightly once more, a sad smile playing on both our lips.
"I'll miss having you around." He sighed. I shakily smiled, swallowing the gulp in my throat.
"Me too." He walkie talkie went off again, making me hold in a frown.
"I'll be on my way. Bye, Belle." He waved at me. My hands trembled as they raised into the air to wave back, a quivery smile dancing onto my lips.
"Bye, Dan."
I watched as he walked off, growing smaller in the distance and going off to do his job. A sigh left my lips and I turned on my heels, weakly rolling the suitcase behind me. This time, as I reached the door, no-one was there to stop me.
The wind rushed up my clothing, my dress almost going flying as I walked out. It was April, the start of spring, yet it remained breezy. I walked a little further, trying my hardest not not break down into tears as I reached the gates. They opened when I pressed down on a button, making a small screeching sound. I stepped outside and dragged my suitcase along with me.
As soon I was a foot off from the prison grounds, the door smacked together. However, when I turned away from the Prison building - I was met with a familiar face. My heart drummed in confusion.
"James?" I called, surprised from seeing him here. He smiled at me, arching a brow.
"Hey, Belle. Did you get my messages?" He questioned, looking bright as ever. My heart began to beat a little faster.
"What? What messages?" I asked, going to reach for my phone.
"We won, Belle! We won!" He gloated. My brows furrowed, so confused with his actions.
"Won what?" I asked. And just as I did, the sudden sound of the gate opening caught my attention. My eyes snapped over to them, almost popping out when I saw who stood there.
His blonde strands of hair were piled on his head, dressed in blue jeans, black vans and a camouflage top. A duffel bag hung from his shoulder, a glint dancing in his hazel orbs. He looked like a complete normal person. Just breathtakingly good-looking.
"Sam?" I gasped, rushing over to him. He instantly grasped me into his arms and held me to him, squeezing me tightly. I felt my heart flutter.
"I'm free," He breathed, pulling back to lock eyes with me. My heart jumped in shock, a shaky hand covering my mouth.
"W-When? H-How?" I stuttered. He peered down at me, holding a hand against my cheek, making me gaze up at him.
"Because of you." He lowly rasped, leaning forward to press my forehead against his. But before I could get anything more out of him, a voice interrupted us.
"I'm sorry to break this up, but it's time we go. My parking permit is about to expire real soon." James yelled, tapping me on the shoulder. I furrowed my brows, not knowing what was going on. I was overwhelmed with confusion.
"Come on," Sam laced his fingers with mine. He began walking, making me reluctantly follow along.
"What's happening? Where are we going?" I got out, so confused. He peered down at me with softened eyes, a smile on display to my eyes.
"Anywhere you like?" He questioned, with a soft chuckle. It managed to bring a smile to my lips, but didn't wash away my confusion.
"As long as I'm with you, take me anywhere." I heard myself say, smiling up at him. A glint crossed his eyes and he pressed a gentle kiss against my forehead.
"Then, let's go." He smiled, as we walked side by side. A smile drew onto my lips as so many confused thoughts ran through my mind. However, I only concentrated on the better of it all.
Here I was, walking away from that prison.
But not alone.
I walked away with the fallen man I had fallen in-love with.
But as I saw a twinkle cross his eyes and a accomplished grin playing on his lips. I realized something important.
He was no longer fallen.
