"Do you love me?"

She asked me once again.

By she I mean the Alpha Female,

and by Alpha Female I mean Charlotte,

and by Charlotte I mean my best friend since we were pups. Girlfriend since four months ago since I couldn't say no to her anymore because she always gets distant and sad with me. And I didn't like that.

"I do," I replied, kissing her on the cheek. I noticed her cheeks going red like the color of her hair. She looks so cute that I couldn't keep my hands to myself. "Aww is Charlotte blushing," I say while pinching both of her red cheeks. She grabs my hands out of her face and looks longingly towards my lips.

I close my eyes and nod to signal her that she can kiss me. I feel her lips on my lips. After a few seconds, she moves away from my face and I open my eyes. She offers me a smile and I smile back at her. She leans forward towards my ear and whispers "I'll see you later."

She turns around and walks towards the pack house. I sigh, remembering the feeling of her lips on mine. It didn't feel right to me. I'm not against girls being mates to girls but I just don't see myself mated to a girl. I want to tell her that my love is different from hers, but I just don't want to hurt her feelings and ruin our friendship because of my feelings.

"What's wrong?" Someone says, breaking me out of my thoughts. I turn around and see that it's Iris, my youngest. "Nothing, lets go back inside the house before your sister breaks anything else I own," I respond back, leading her towards the door.

"You know she's sorry about that?"

"Well sorry isn't going to cut it. She broke my favorite mug," I mutter. "Well it did have a bad word on it and you always tell us never curse," she answers back (The mug was titled "The Greatest Bitch in the World.")

"Mmh fair enough, she's forgiven for now though." After a few seconds of quietness, Iris asks me a question I have been dreading, "Why are you with her if you guys have different kind of I love you's?"

I close my eyes and sigh. "It's because I owe her since she's been by my side since we were pups. Always protecting me from the other girls and hanging out with me when others wouldn't. Plus, she aloud me to take you guys in because we didn't have any knowledge in kids and it was a hassle for the mated couples and because of your ethnicity is different from theirs. You know that a lot of the other females didn't want me to take you in because I'm different from the rest. They stated to say hateful comments and complain to the Alpha about not letting me have you guys. And you know what she did? She didn't listen to them and proceeded in allowing me to adopt you guys."

I turn to face her and smile. "And you guys were the missing piece in my life that I needed since you guys accepted me for who I am." I wipe her tear away and pull her towards me. "You know I loved you guys ever since I laid eyes on you two."

She pulls away from me and faces me. "Really?" I nodded and continued to wipe away her tears. *Sniff* *Sniff* "We love you too" I kiss her forehead and hug her one last time. "Ok now lets go see what your sister is up to?" Right when I open the door I hear *crash* noises in the living room.

We hear the voice of Selene yell out,"I'm sorry, it was by accident!" I roll my eyes. "Let's go see what your sister broke this time?" I tell Iris while letting her pass through first.

I see Selene hiding something behind her back. "Hand over whatever you broke and be careful too because you might get hurt." "Ok, fine but don't get mad?" She hands it over to my hand and I stiffen when seeing what she broke this time. Damn this time she got my favorite plate. I sigh, "I'm not mad Selene since it did say a bad word and I wouldn't want to hear those words come out of your mouths, now would I ?"

"Now time to go to bed!" I clap my hands together, pointing towards there room. They whine and complain while heading towards there rooms. "Now stop fussing and go to bed!" While trying to convince them to go to sleep early, I feel someone try to mind-link me. "Hello?"

"Hey, it's me Charlotte." I wonder what she has to say? "Oh hey, what's up?" I reply while shushing the girls. "I have to tell you that tomorrow morning we have to go meet the Alpha of the Male Pack," she responds worrying for my reaction. "W-what? W-why though?" I answer worryingly. Upon seeing my face reaction, the girls know somethings up. "Is it about our population numbers?"

Charlotte sighs, "You know it's an issue, Adira. We've been dodging it for months now but with the wolf population decreasing, what will we be left in a few years? We're going to die out soon if we don't handle it now," she replies in a worryingly tone.

"Ok, I understand but I just have one problem," I respond in a nervous tone.

Worryingly about what her reaction is going to be. "Ok and what would that be?"

"Well the thing is that I can't leave the girls alone because I don't trust anyone with them," I answer while waiting for her reaction. "I'm ok with them coming but I just don't know what the Alpha in the Male Pack will say about them?"

"Don't worry, I'll deal with it. Plus if they do say something, I'll just kick their asses," I utter confidently while smiling. I'm the third strongest in the Pack, I think I can handle a few males.

"Of course you will," she responds amusingly while trying to not laugh. I playfully growl at her through mind-link and she bursts into laughter because she says my growls sound like a kitten's growl instead of a wolf's growl. Fucking bitch. I'll show her and the whole universe that I don't growl like a kitten.

Good night Alpha Charlotte" "Good night to you too and remember to where something warm for the cold tomorrow since it's snowing over there." She says and ends the mind-link. "Ok girls, tomorrow morning we have to get up early so that means that you have to wake me up since you know how a heavy sleeper I am," I say while taking out the winter cloths for tomorrow.

I turn towards Pepita (my dog/best friend), "I need you to look out for any dangers that come near the girls." She goes by the girls and begins her mission right away. Damn, I didn't think she was going to do it right away.

"Where are we going?" Iris questions while waiting for my response. Selene stops what she's doing to hear what I'm about to say. "We're going to meet the Alpha of the Male Pack."

"What's a male?" Iris and Selene question me while tilting their heads to the side and getting ready for bed. "Well I really don't know since I never met one but I'm pretty sure there the same as us," I state, tucking in the girls and kissing them goodnight.

I leave their rooms and go to mine. Begin doing my night routines right away and later start heading to bed. I lay in bed and close my eyes, "I swear they better not fucking lay a hand in them and if they do then their going to be fucking dead for sure," I mutter in a sleepy tone.
