《Arranged Marriage to The Devil》Chapter 31: The Crazy Supply Teacher

A week after Eric confessed his story to me, I felt a new bond between Eric and I. It was not hatred any more nor tension. It was light, free and filled with laughter.
We were walking to class, laughing over a memory we had in middle school. "Remember when you put crazy glue all over the teachers chair?!" Eric brought up, laughing to himself remembering the memory.
I was clutching my stomach, laughing while I remember the day, "It was April first! I had to prank somebody!"
In middle school I used to always pull pranks, it was fun especially on teachers. The teachers caught on it was me and told me I couldn't do any more, that did not stop me on doing it on supply teachers!
In the seventh grade, it was the first of April; April fools day. I wanted to prank somebody but I did not know who. I thought of the idea of putting crazy glue in my teachers chair and wait until she came in.
My classmates were laughing, Leah thought I should not have done that but she was just scared. Eric was trying not laugh.
The door opened and we heard a voice different from our teacher. "Good morning class! My name is Mr. Russell and I'll be your supply teacher for today,"
My face went pale, this wasn't going to turn out good!
Eric already had a book in front of his face covering his laughter, Leah looked like she wanted to cry, knowing her best friend was about to be sent to the principle office.
Mr. Russell was searching through papers looking for the information my teacher had left, "Let's see.." He found the paper and cleared his throat, "Dear, Mister Russell!" He swiftly sat down and I let out a whelp. "Today I will not be here because I will be at a teachers meeting. I have three coloured folders that have worksheets for each part of the day. At 12:15 to lunch they have music in room 103 and from 2:30 to home time they have independent reading,"
Mr. Russell's stopped reading to the class, he skimmed through the page until he reached the very last line, "Since it is April fools beware of Alexandra pulling any pranks,"
Gosh, she knew me to well!
"If any pranks happen from her please report it straight to the office!"
Mr. Russell scanned through the classroom, "Who is Alexandra?"
Eric pointed at me through his book, "Hey!" I hissed
"So Alexandra,"
I looked over at Mr. Russell underneath my eye lashes, "Yes?"
"No pranks today, understand?" He said with a stern voice

"I wouldn't be so sure.." I mumbled underneath my breath. Mr. Russell turned his attention back to the class, "Let's get this class started shall we?" He tried to stand up but he was brought back down in the chair, his cheeks flushed "It seems that I'm glued to my seat!"
The whole class burst into laughter, Eric face was red from holding in his laughter, you can just imagine what he looked like. Of course Mr. Russell looked over at me. His face was turning red and he pointed his finger at me, "YOU! OFFICE NOW!"
I gotten out of my chair and shared a glance with both of my friends. Leah was drowning in her tears and Eric was laughing so hard he was crying.
Walking to the principals office I started laughing myself. It was pretty funny!
I was suspended for a week and Mr. Russell yelled through the school how he never wanted to teach me or supply a class that I was in ever again.
Coming back to the present Eric was finally dying down his laughter. "Alex, you were something in middle school, I thought you would of changed just a bit!" He said
I shook my head, "Nope, I am still the same girl who pranks but my attitude has change quite a lot,"
"You can say that again," he mumbled
I nudge his arm and notice a supply teacher walked into the room. He was bald, a little chubby too. "Morning class,"
"Morning," my classmates responded
"Alex!" Eric beamed
"What?" Eric had a grinned plastered on his face, "I think that's--"
"The name is Mr. Russell, I supply through the school board from elementary classes to high school classes." He looked into his chair then sat down. I slipped out a small gasp; it is him!
He picked up the attendance sheet and cleared his throat, "When I call your name please raise your hand and say here," he started going down the list of names. "Alexandra Thomason?"
I slowly raised my hand and said, "Here,"
He looked over where I sat and squinted his eyes, "Have I supplied you before?"
I felt my heart skip a beat, he can't know it's me! "Nope, I don't think so." I lied
Eric snorted besides me, I shoved my elbow and he let out a soft whelp.
Mr. Russell kept his gaze on to me until he shrugged his shoulders, "Well maybe. You have the same name just like her too. I just thought you were her, she was one of the worst students I ever supplied..."
Oh no! He could not know it was me! What if he recognize me and started to blow his top off at I, then the authorities would have to come in. Would I get suspended?

Eric raised his hand, Mr. Russell brought his attention to Eric. "Yes?"
Eric dropped his hand, "If you do not mind me asking, what did the girl do to you, to make her the worst student ever,"
I glared at the side of Eric's face. He just has to push people's buttons. Something's never change in people.
Mr. Russell leans over on his desk and clears his throat, "Yes, well uh.. I was supplying a class and a girl by the name of Alexandra Thomason, likes to pull pranks on teachers!" He explained.
" I was supplying her class and her teacher strictly told her not to pull any pranks."
"No she didn't!"
Mr.Russell closed his mouth and brought his attention to where I was sitting, the class turned also to where I was sitting.
Great. Now look what I did, gather the whole class.
"Did you say something Alexandra?" He asked
I gulped, I do not know what I was swallowing; maybe saliva or how I am swallowing the nerves of being brought up that I, Alex Marie Thomaspon was actually the girl he is talking about. Who has not let that go.
Every student in the classroom had there eyes on me. Some who remember me in their middle school class or even that day were waiting for my response or just hoping he will recognize me; not naming any names but; (cough) (cough) Eric (cough) (cough).
I shook my head, "Nothing, continue your story,"
Mr. Russell paused, "Alright..." He then brought his attention back to the classroom. "Her teacher told her not to pull any pranks and she did! She plastered crazy glue all over my chair!" He said dramatically.
A few students gasp, others laugh, my old middle school classmates smirked and glance over at me. While Eric barked out a laugh, I can place a thousand dollars he was not laughing at how Mr. Russell said it.
After the class died down Eric raised his hand. Again.
"Mr. Russell. Can you tell us what the girl looks like?"
"Well yes I can, she had blond hair.."
I notice He looked at my blond hair. Why could not mom allow me to dye my hair in grade nine or maybe this week? New change or better avoid the supply teacher.
"Blue eyes, she had medium length hair.." He continued to describe the girl while staring at me.
I do not know what I find odd; he knowing what I exactly look like or that he was describing me when I was 14 years old with a little I much description..
He stopped talking and his eyes grew wide. He stood up from his chair and his face was burning red, he pointed his finger straight towards me, "ITS YOU!"
I smirked and shrugged my shoulders, "You got me! What's the reward?" I knew I should not be making fun of this moment but I am.
He started banging the desk, the students in the front of the class gotten scared and moved out of their desk, "I knew I would supply you again but the board said no, it was a unlikely chance I'll get you but I did!!" He explain then let out a maniac laugh.
I must say, crazy glue does make people crazy.
Just then two police officers came in with our principle. "Mr. Russell you will no longer be supplying this class,"
He started charging towards me, "Good I did not want to anyway! Not with this pest of a monster, who knows what else she did. Maybe she glued my chair to the floor?"
I rolled my eyes. Please! Why would I glue a chair to the floor? I have matured and advance my skills of pranking very well.
The officers took Mr.Russells arms and lightly brought his out of the room. "She should be getting out of the room with two cops! She's evil I tell yah!" He yelled, while going down the hall way you can still hear him scream, "Evil!!"
The principal sighed, "Class is cancelled you can go to the study hall or do whatever honestly I have to go deal with this one," then he left. Students started to pack things away, other students cheered.
Eric cheered and brought his bag over his shoulder, "Job well done huh? You didn't even do anything!"
I glared at Eric and kept walking away, "He almost attacked me,"
We walked into the hallway where our classmates were going in different directions. Eric scoffed, "Oh please, the officers gotten him on time. Even if they didn't I think you would of been the ones the officers would be taking out of the room,"
I couldn't help but laugh. It was true, if Mr. Russell did try anything I might of
dropped kicked him to the floor.
It surprises me, holding a grudge for almost five years is very unhealthy. That can cause stress, anxiety, depression, or anger problems! Never hold a grudge, even if it's over Crazy glue.
