《Predator(KnY×reader!!Ghoul)》Chapter 08: Ayato

Week passed and another Hashira meeting was held.
The new Tsugoku was there as well lazily drinking her cup of coffee, joining them on the dinning room that evening.
Meals were prepared for each one of them, Y/n on the other hand recieved the same human stew which scent was covered in animal broth but wasn't appetized enough to jab on it.
Her coffee was tastier. She probably should ask for a sugar meat from Oyakata next time.
That'd help her at least.
Eating in front of the Hashiras with only Kagaya knowing what she eats was a bit awkward. She looked at the person a couple of times but he didn't seem disgusted by what's on her plate. He even turned to her and clamly smiled.
Finishing her coffee, she asked for another cup while the Hashiras eyed her from her tenth cup of coffee.
"After dinner, I wish for everyone to be prepared." Kagaya said while he continued his leisurely meal. It left everyone confused by his words but decided to wait for them to be enlightened.
The girl was sitting beside the water Hashira at that time, and in every improper sitting position she made, Giyuu would slap her leg.
It happened a couple of times, she could already feel her legs sore. The power slap stung too long she doubted her regenerative ability to work in that situation so she just glared at the strict superior.
As dinner finally ended, everyone went back to the yard where they first held the Hashira meeting. The girl leaned her back on the big wisteria tree, the milky moonlight kissing contrast with the edges of her skin crossing her arms in daze of the rare night sky.
The stars were out and the fullmoon stood out among them all, sharing out its dim hue while her e/c eyes remained staring up. But while waiting for the evening meeting to commence, she smelt something familiar that pulled her out of her trance in an instance.

The same out of this world smell she could tell from a distance. However, before her reflexes could restore itself back, shards of purple-blue feathers hit her shoulder, leg, belly, arm and neck. Impaling her to the tree the leaned on. Blood quickly oozed out of her wounded body.
The Hashira's were stunned from the attack as well, but quickly unsheathed their swords from what's killed the newly appointed Tsugoku.
"Fucking kid." Y/n pulled herself off from being pinned on the tree.
The hashiras looked at her get reserrected in an instant. As if she was a zombie. She spit off some blood that stucked up from her throat, pulling the shards out of it.
"Don't move, Y/n. You're wounded!" The insect hashira made her way towards the limping girl. But before she could reach her, she was taken aback by a sinister smile on her lips and the shift of colors in her previous vivid e/c eyes. Bright yellow noturnal irises surrounded by blackness of the supposed whites and veins began to root on the side of her eyes.
"Hah. Look at your pathetic face. Have your rusted just being out of commission for eight months? Are they not feeding you right?" A male voice rang around the evening lights.
When everyone turned up on top of the roof, a male wearing a rabbit mask stood. He wore pure shades of black like a ninja and behind him spread two odd purple wings and an armor vined into his body like a metal surrounding his torso.
"Who are you?! Identify yourself!" Sanemi roared in preparation to attack him.
The rabbit ignored him, his eyes focused on the girl who walked forward.
"You brat. Just where do you get your gutts to shoot me while I'm off guard?" She huffed, removing each and every shard that remained on her flesh. "That really hurt." She nonchalantly informed, but her tone of voice didn't really sound in pain.

"It's your fault." Ayato hissed. "Next time you run away, make sure its not a fucking one way ticket."
"Oh yeah." The girl snapped from realization clicking her fingers as she looked at him with wonder. "How did you get here? Did you find another way to come?"
"Idiot. I followed you. But the shrine suddenly disappered."
"Ha. You brat. Why didn't I find you there then? If you followed me, your shitty scent would've been on my track."
"Because your dumb ass seemed to have taken me to a different place. If I knew you want a place to get extinct from, I should've crucified you back to your shitty cell."
They talked harshly at each other, but the more the confused Hashiras listened, it sounded more friendly and casual. They didn't really understand what was going on. Wasn't Y/n dead? If not, wasn't she supposed to make him her enemy for attacking her and leaving her severely wounded?
Or was this their way of greeting?
Oyakata came out of the room and sat on his usual spot. Ayato jumped down the ground facing everyone as his kagune remained widespread on his broad back.
"How did you know I was here?" She asked, making his way towards him but the water hashira stopped her by blocking her with his arm.
"Don't go futher. You're wounded." Giyuu told her.
"Why not ask him and his noisy crow?" The boy ignored the taunt and simply pointed towards Kagaya who smiled at his hashira children.
The said crow landed beside him. "I sent a message to your friend that you're staying here. I thought it'd be better to invite him as another slayer given that he has the same goal as you." The man explained calmly.
Y/n sighed. Gently pushed Giyuu's hand down before passing through him as she faced Ayato. "Rabbit, did you know..." she harshly ran a fist on top of his head, making him lean down and nearly falling on the floor. "After fucking eight months, you're the only one who wounded me! You, record breaker."
The hashiras gasped from her attack. While Ayato's mask fell on the floor, revealing a good looking young man but with an intimidating and gruff expression.
"You dare..." he said threateningly.
"Me what?" She sneered, messing his blue locks. "Me what, huh? Shouldn't I be telling that to you? Because you're the one who attacked me out of the blue? Aren't I supposed to be mad? Huh? Huh?" She asked again, poking him on his side rib.
Ayato sighed as he picked up his mask. His kagune disappearing in the air as he glared at her. "I did it to see of you're the real Y/n. If you died, then it's not my problem." He said back.
"Everyone. The reason why I held another Hashira meeting, is to inform you of their existence." Kagaya explained. "Y/n and Ayato are the only of their kinds existing in this world. They are called ghouls."
The words the man said was like a signal to the two. Their eyes changed. Ayato with red bright eyes while Y/n with yellow ones.
Kagune sprouted out of their backs, one that created some type of armors for themselves. Both had unique wings but Y/n had another pair of tail like rinkaku below her back.

The whole affair seems to cry out for a gallant hero of old, or failing that a cunning diplomat, but he’s neither. Perhaps a lying scoundrel, which our lad definitely is, would have to suffice. He does ‘acquire’ a dagger that knows a dead language after all and that must count for something.
