When I found out that Avalane is my mate, my mind never at peace anymore. Zack, my wolf keep snapping at me. He wants me to claim and mark her.

As if it is easy peasy as lemon squeezy. Does he know what will happen to her if someone find out that she's mated to me. That's why I am hesitant to claim her.

It is not that I am not attracted to her, Goddess know, she's the most beautiful and gorgeous girl that I've ever seen. Her hazel eyes are so captivating, her sweet lavender scent that makes my mouth drool. Her plumps lips that I want to ravish until it swollen. Just thinking about all of this enough to make me groan, what more if I finally claim her?

But my mood swiftly changed when I remember how she looks at that uniform. She has a very nice body, so sexy on that dress but my blood boils because of how all the males on that cafe stared at her as if they want to eat her alive. Zack wants to take over and kill them all but I hold him and explained the consequences if he lose control. He calmed down for a bit but warned me that she needs to stop wearing those kind of clothes or else I will face his wrath. And I know what it is. He will forcefully claim her and be our Luna.

But we can't do that, not now, as I explained to him for so many times.

It is not about her status as Omega. Hell no, as if I care about status, but if I will accept her now, her life would be in danger.

Our pack has old tradition.

Tradition that even my mother went through when she chose to became the Luna of the pack. It is where all the unmated female can challenge the future Luna to take her place. This involve fighting without interruption and can lead to death.

All of us know that Ava is an Omega because she never shift. Female wolf should shift at the age of 16, while the male at 18. She didn't shift that's why I am worried to accept her now.

How could she defend herself against the challenger if she doesn't have her wolf? Nathalie will eat her alive that's for sure, unless She will undergo training using her human strength and ability. And this is what I am trying to explain for so many times to my wolf. But the moron keeps sending me picture of her sexy body all the time. Which not helping for keeping me away from her. One slip and hell break loose.

My wolf snapped.

"Zack, I still don't know." I'm frustrated, it's so obvious in my voice, as I pinched the bridge of my nose.

He growled in my mind. Huh, frustrated also!

"And then?" I asked, maybe he has some plan.

He snapped. Here we go again, I felt like I'm talking to small child and not an Alpha wolf.

"You know we can't. You know what will happen to her. Do you want to put her life in danger?" I asked calmly.

"I am planning to come and talk to her."

He informed.

"F*ck my life. I knew that she will be hurt but what can I do?" I replied.

' I regret what I did Zack, I am really and I want to fix everything but I dont know where to start.' That's true, after what happened at the cafe, I am planning to fix things with her. But how? Nathalie cling to me all the time.

He sounds so annoyed. Eversince we found Ava as our mate, his frustrations to Nathalie keeps getting up. He was against the idea of being her boyfriend, telling we need to wait for our mate but me being an Alpha and Nathalie is not that bad so I asked her, which she agreed to, and here I am having a headache of how can I explain to her that I want to get out from our relationship.

"As if it is easy to do, You know how she like me and want to be my Luna." I've realized now that I've never love Nathalie. My feelings with her changed since I met Avalane.

But Zack was right, I should end my relationship with her.

"Ok I will talk to Nathalie and break up with her."

"Of course." I told him, before blocking him out. I went to my bathroom to take shower as I have to go school today.

After 20 minutes, I headed to my garage and get in my car. Usually I'll pass at the pack kitchen but all I wanted is to go straight to the school.

Why?

Because I miss my mate, I miss her eyes, her lips, everything.

When I reached the school, it was still early. So now, here I am looking at my mate who's currently standing in front of her locker. She's wearing a simple clothes and yet she looks so sexy and tempting. The urge to grab and kiss her is so high, that I need to think bad memories just to stop myself.

I have to be patient, I tell to myself, repeatedly, that I didnt notice that Cole is here and his sister, Nathalie. She quickly snaked her arms around my neck and give me a kiss on my lips, which I didnt expected and the worst is Ava have seen it.

Sadness swiftly filled her eyes, and I know I am such an idiot.

Zack snapped.

Nathalie whisper something to me but I dont listen and I am not interested, my attention is on my mate who seems ready to leave.

For a moment my brain stop because since I met her all I did is to hurt her, and I am really didn't mean that. I'm still in daze when the bell rings and we all go to our class.

As I looked around inside our room, I saw that she's sitting beside a blonde girl, which I know is niece of one of our warriors.

They seem to get along pretty well as they are both smiling to each other and I think they are having a conversation about something. Atleast she's smiling. Oh how I hate myself seeing her sad.

Her smile is the most precious thing to me right now. Maybe she sensed that I am looking so she turned her way to me, and Goddess she has dimples on both cheeks. So beautiful is all I can tell.

We take our seat and wait for the professor. I did my best to ignore Nathalie but I guess my best wasn't good enough because suddenly she grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers.

Oh come on. Really?

I unclasped her fingers roughly that caused Nathalie to frown, stunned by what I did. But Me and Zack are angry now. He wants to surface and punish Nathalie but I stop him. I have reasons for stopping him. Not now.

Soon the professor came and the class starts.

Bell rungs.

Class ended.

And that's it, I quickly get, leaving everyone, but Cole is quick, he run after me, while I heard Nathalie still calling out my name.

"Dude what was that?" Cole asked while looking at me intently.

I want to tell him that I am pissed and wanted to run back to my mate, but I know it is impossible right now.

I dont know if I am going to tell him that I already found my mate since he is my Beta and Best friend but he's also Nathalie's brother. That thought sending me away the idea of telling him everything, as I cannot take the risk for Ava's sake.

"Dont worry man, me and Zack just had a little argument and I need some air." I lied.

'?' Zack suddenly said inside my head.

' Oh come on Zack, I know you love me so just ride with flow.' Replying to him. He blocked me out and I returned my gaze to Cole.

How can I tell him that it was his sister's gestures that caused me to snap. I can't tell him that I hate what Nathalie did there. It will leave confusion since me and Nath is in relationship, so it's natural to hold each others hand, right?

"Cole I have to go, I forget something inside my car, but I will be back." It's half truth because I really need some privacy for what I am intending to do.

"Sure, See you at the canteen."

"Ok." I strides toward my car and get inside. I am not going, just need to call someone to do something for me and Zack.

I pulled out my phone and dial the number of the Manager of the Cafè that Avalane work into.

"Hi, is this the Manager of Cups and Joe Cafè?"

When she asked me that, my voice become serious. I explained to her what I need her to do about Avalane. She's hesitant at first but when I informed her that there some consequences, she eventually agreed. Good, now me and Zack can lessen some stress.

"Goodbye" I said to the manager.

Ending the call, I quickly run back towards the canteen, because I am hungry but most specially I want to see her again, my mate.

She's sitting with the same girl before. And I noticed that they eating at the far side of the canteen. Place were nobody will notice you and I get the idea.

I get my food and sit beside Cole. Luckily our table has a good view, from here I can look at her.

While I am eating, my eyes glances at her. My lips lift up a little because of how she eat her burger without shyness. She's a messy eater, I could tell.

And there she is. She caught me looking at her but I didn't turned away my gaze. I can't add another heartache to her. The guilt until now is killing me. Atleast by doing this, maybe I can send a message to her that I need her, that I want her as my mate.

We held each other gaze and nobody is breaking until my phone rings. I shook my head and look at the caller, it's my Dad. I look at her one more time before I answer my phone.

"Is everything alright?" I asked because he never call me during class unless it is really important.

I sigh because I really want to spend more time here even just by looking at her.

"Alright Dad, I need 15 minutes to be there." After he said ok, I quickly closed the call and ready myself to take off.

"Cole, my Dad needs me, so see you later." I get up, but before leaving the canteen, I stare at Ava one last time, and I see the curiosity beneath her eyes.
