"Are you alright?" Zander said when we are inside of his car. Time to head back to school.

"Yes, I am good, I am just wondering why you seems not worried showing me.. you know, some sweetness, specially in front of Cole and Olivia." I saw him smile and stare at me.

"To tell you the truth I dont have regrets what I showed, It's hard to fight it Ava, the mate bond, it's like magnet that keeps me pushing towards you."

"But, you said we have to keep it secret, you can trust Olivia though but Cole is Nathalie's brother."

"Dont worry, Cole is like a brother to me. He will ask about this soon but he will never going to rat us to anyone. I assure you that."

"Ok"

"Anyway, I have to tell you something. My father told me that in few days he will step down and give to me officially the Alpha position." He seems happy about this news. But I have some questions that I need an answer.

"Oh. But, is it okay even without your Luna on your side? I mean for what I read they receive the title once they found their mates." Well, when I found out that I was mated to Zander, I read some books containing about Luna and her duties. I accidentally read something about true mates.

"Because not all found their true-mate, to tell you frankly I am lucky that I found you , and and to answer your question. Yes alpha can lead without their Luna, because if they reach a certain age and still mateless, the elders will ask him to get his '', of course to continue the bloodline." He explained, atleast I learned something more about our pack.

"I thought only the true mates can lead the pack, because as I studied our pack's history all our passed leaders were true-mates." He smile at me and caress my cheek with his finger.

"Impressive and that was true, but all the passed Luna went to this , and they all passed it though." He looked at me and study my face, I know what he's thinking.

He is thinking if I could pass this Luna Challenge.

'He doesn't need to worry about us, about the challenge.' Althea said. 'He is worry because he knows I dont have wolf, that I cannot depend myself.' I replied to her.

"I trust you Avalane, but you can't blame me if I am worried freak. I can't let something bad happen to you." His eyes flashed like he think of something nice all of the sudden.

"Anyway, I got something for you." He handed me a pink paper bag.

"Just open it. It's my birthday present for you. And I hope you like it." I opened the bag and saw inside a cellphone box, a latest Iphone.

"Zander, It's too much, I dont know of I will accept it... It—.." he didnt let me finish my sentence because he cut me off abruptly.

"Avalane, dont worry about money, I have my savings and It's a birthday present, so please take it." Giving me his best puppy-dog-eyes.

"Ok, Thank you, I never had this kind of phone before, so thank you again. Though I am gonna need help how to use it." I said shyly while he chuckled slightly.

"I will teach you, we can send messages and if you need me, you can call me anytime. I already arrange your phonebook." I smile at him after he said that. He's very sweet and thoughtful.

"Wait, I am not yet done, I have another gift for you, a present because you accept me as your mate." He pulled something out from his pocket and handed me a small box. I took it but didn't open, yet.

"Zander, are you proposing to me?" I joked just to ease my nervousness. I am really overwhelmed of what's happening right now.

"Do you want me to? But to answer you now. Not yet. but hopefully soon, once everything is ok." He said calmly, he asked me to open it but I am reluctant, and again he gave me his puppy-dog-yes, so I let out a long sigh and open the small box. My eyes got widen when I saw what's inside.

An Emerald Gold bracelet, with absolutely stunning design that I knew cost a lot of money. I love it, even I want to give it back but I know he will be sad If I do that.

"Thank you, it's very lovely and you chose my favorite color. So thank you. To tell you the truth, nobody gave me present except my parents and I appreciate it Zander." I got teary eyes but I try to hold.

"You deserved it my Love, more and more and more." He said while kissing the back of my hand that send butterflies on my stomach. I have to remind him that he need to focus on the road, or else we might face accident.

Once we reached the school, me and Olivia went to our next class, while Cole and Zander went to their own.

6 hours later.....

After the last period, I went straight to our house and informed my parents about what happened to me in the past few days.

First, about Zander. They were shocked when I informed them about him, and worried at the same time. Second, about my job, which I need a long explanation, since I need to live at the pack house, starting now, which they both don't like. But I convinced them though when I said that I will call them every hour and visit everyday.

So now, here I am standing at this big mahogany door, for the first time, as far as I remember. As Zander said, I brought some of my clothes and personal things.

After few minutes of inhale and exhale, I pull out my new cellphone and dial his number, but no answer so I just send a message informing him that I am here. After waiting for few minutes, he replied but I failed to read it because the big door swung open and reveal a middle aged woman with a tied bun and green eyes.

She looks familiar and that is when I realized that she's probably Zander's Mother. I didnt recognize her in an instant, specially her aura because I am wondering why Zander didnt answer my call. Maybe he has some pack meeting.

The Luna in front of me is very beautiful. She has a wide smile on her lips and her eyes shows that she's a caring person.

"Good evening Luna, I'm Avalane." I politely said. Her smile never falter, then ushered me to get inside of the pack house.

"You have a very nice name, and please call me Audrey my dear." I dont know what to say, as I didnt expect this. She's my Luna and I have to call her that but she seems serious for what she said.

"O-ok, Audrey." And it feels awkward. I'm not used to with this first name calling and I sensed that she felt it too, so she takes my both hands and pressed it.

"You dont have to feel nervous around me dear, my son already told me about you. I'm happy that it was you. He explained to me all and for that you dont have to worry." She said in a very motherly manner just like my mom, well my adopted mom, and I wondering what it is like about my biological mom.

"Thank you. I am happy that he informed you about me, because I never been here.. except when I.." I quickly stop talking because I feel it is not nice that she found out what happen between me and his son before.

"Oh, you mean the other day, where you shout to him after what he did to you and your job? No worries, I am a mother a I understand you. But first, let me show you your room so that you can take rest. Ow, and you dont have to work now as his personal maid because I wont allow it. You will stay here as his mate and I will help you." She said the last sentence in low voice. I think I gonna love her.

She lead me to my room and informed me that Zander's room is on the left side. When she opened it for me, I got my eyes wide open because it's really big and nicely painted. I felt like a princess at this moment and I hope it never end. The Bathroom is breathtaking, a lot of girl essentials and candles on display and a big bath tub. I can't believe I'm gonna use this.

After, we went to my closet area where a lot of clothes arrange nicely, and some new shoes and bags also.

"Who owns this?" I asked her while checking all the girly things inside the cabinet. There's some make up and other girl stuff like hair iron and curler.

"It's all yours, It was all here when I came here today morning, so probably it's Zander who placed all of this. Such a nice boy, isn't he?" she chirped, I guess I can't argue.

"Yes he is." I smile at her while going back to my bed.

"So I will leave now, take rest and Oh, you have to join us in dinner later, so see you dear."

She quickly walk towards my door and waved goodbye. She's very nice, and I am thankful. Soon I jump on the mattress and giggles because it's very soft. I think taking rest isn't bad.

Someone is kissing me, I definitely sure, but maybe I was just in a dream. I slowly open my eyes and got stunned because my handsome mate is standing beside my bed.

In my astonishment, he wearing a sweatpants only, literally showing his perfect 6 pack abs.

.' I quickly stop Althea.

And before she adds more horny comments about her mate's sweaty and sparkling chest, I abruptly block her off.

He must be finished from his training.

I avoid his gaze because I am not used to stare to a half naked man, specially my mate. Suddenly I felt my cheeks becomes red and I know he saw it.

"Hey, did I wake you up?" He said huskily, while sitting beside me on my bed so now we're so close to each other.

"I'm sorry about that, when I see your innocent face sleeping like angel, I cant fight it though. But I can't promise that I wont do it again." He said in a mouth-watering tone, my cheeks blushed again. The effect he'a giving me is crazy.

I feel that he's about to kiss me, when my door swung open and reveal his Mother, who's grinning. I pushed Zander a little because I felt shy that Audrey will think that we are doing something.

Zander, who pouted his lips thag makes him cute in my sight.

"Oh, I'm sorry to interrupt, but dinner is ready." I looked at Zander. " I think I am not ready to meet other people Zander, can you tell her without making her sad?" I whispered to him. That's true, facing his father, the Betas and Gammas family makes my stomach twist in bad manner.

"Mom, I'm sorry, but Ava is little tired, we can't go down to have dinner." She gave us a sad face and I feel guilty. But what I have to do? I'm really not ready to face them.

"Ok I understand, just I want her to taste my favorite recipe." She sounds sad, and my heart broke because of this.

"Audrey, maybe I can still taste it, maybe I can eat here." Her eyes twinkle in happiness. She smiled at me and went downstairs to take our dinner.

"I really like your Mom Zander and I dont like seeing her sad." He looked at me with happiness in his eyes. Something flash in his eyes and then suddenly I felt his lips on mine. He nibbled my lower lip and asked for entrance. I open my mouth and moaned because he taste so good. He groaned and deepen the kiss, swallowing all the air in my lungs.

Slowly he moved to my shoulder and to my neck, licking and sucking, and I bite my lower lip to control my moans. He found my sweet spot and I can't take it anymore.

"Zander." Moaning his name. He then placed his hands on my lower back and then moved down on my ass, while kissing my neck again. These actions cause me to grasp my fingers to his hair while put my legs around his waist. I can feel his bulge on my stomach. I arched my back and lowly growled on his ear which cause him to grab my wrists and put it up my head, while slowly, moving his hand under my clothes, causing me to moan again, he is about to touch my breast when someone knock on the door.

I was still in daze, when someone knocked again.

"I think it's your mom." He was also in daze, golden eyes and I know that he didnt yet recovered from our heated make-out session. He closed his eyes and breathe deeply to calm down. Soon, as he open it, his eyes are in normal again and gave me a smirk.

"Go, dont let her knock again, Zander." I pushed him slightly because he's planning to kiss me again.

As he open the door, Audrey showed up with tray of deliciously smelled food, that I want to blame Zander for not opening the door as soon as possible. It's roasted chicken with herb butter and honey.

My stomach let out a low rumbles that caused the two to laugh in amusement.

We quickly place the food in my table and started to eat. The happiness that shown in Audrey's face is unfathomable, and I am not kidding when I say that she's the best cook for me right now.

As our dinner ends, Zander told me that his father needs him in his office.

"Ava, I will come back as soon as possible, so wait for me okay?" He gave me kiss on my forehead before running out of my room.

"I think I'm going to take a hot bath." I told to myself and I quickly removed my clothes and get inside my bathroom.
