Alexa's P.O.V- Right after Yasmin's seizure.
I was annoyed that Riley had to leave my class but there must have been a reasonable explanation. I looked around trying to concentrate but I couldn't. Why is her not being here saddening me?
I pushed those thoughts away as I stood up infront of Riley's class. "I have homework for all of you. I want a mood board of your chosen issue with any sort of creative flair. I also want characters, settings, props."
I got a moan off the whole class and I chuckled to myself. I love this job. The bell rang, and my students left, I was alone to grade paperwork.
My phone started ringing I swiped the accept call icon.
"Hello?
Yes
Is she okay?
Where is she?
Is she conscious?
Thank god!
I love you too dad, bye, bye"
I sat at my desk trying not to worry about it. Then there was a knock at my door. I opened it and the beauty in front of me was smiling. I couldn't focus. She was so beautiful. So innocent. She was highly mature and amazingly smart. I'd say she was smarter than me. It could be because she'd only just moved here from Wales. I thought that was funny. I'm also Welsh and I moved to San Francisco as well. It's funny how often that happens. After an awkward encounter because of myself I tried focusing on her paperwork. She was always so laid back and collected it put me on edge.
I tried making sense of where I'd put her work, but I glanced at the picture on my desk of my mother and I and my whole body started feeling weird. I felt a rush and it was horrible. My hands started to shake. My feelings were scrambled then a calming presence grabbed my hands. Riley was talking but all I could do was focus on not vomiting or passing out. "I'm going to pass out-" I dropped, my legs gave way and my body went limp and I couldn't do anything. I, then felt a strong and stern grip around my waist. Riley had caught me. Talk about falling for a girl. (Did I just mentally say that? shut up Alexa.)

I couldn't do anything, but I knew I needed to tell someone. "Riley, my mother had a stroke." Her face changed. She was still calm, but she was worried. I tried catching my breath and the nausea subsided as she put me down. That's when I realised how close we had been. I caught a smell of her, Charlie Red perfume mixed with washing powder. I had a drink in my hand and I genuinely have no recollection of how it got there. We stared at eachother, it wasn't uncomfortable at all, we tried reading eachother but we couldn't. I shook my head and the small voice in my head decided to remind me that Riley was a student.
We had a brief chat, she's just so understanding, smart, intelligent, beautiful and intuitive she thinks she knows everything, but she doesn't say it with a snarky attitude or a conceiting way. She means well. I've never met someone like her before. I can't help but want to get to know her. I can't help but fall for her.
