《My Best friend's Sister (GxG)》To a night we probably won't remember

After walking around the suburban neighborhoods for who knows how long, my brain finally feels clear enough to go back and get a decent night's sleep. I retrace my steps back to the illuminated glasshouse that's now dark. You'd barely be able to tell it's there without the moon's reflection upon the glass. I quietly open the tall glass door before shutting it and then locking it behind me. I quietly ascend the modern stairs before walking down the tall hallway.
I make it to the door of Alex's and my shared bedroom, but I hesitate before opening the door. I push the nervous thoughts rummaging through my head before entering the darkroom. Once I step in, I quietly close the door behind me before turning back around to the moonlit room. I make out a silhouette of a body underneath the heavy covers of the bed as it rises up and down calmly. Continuing to walk towards the empty side of the bed, I make my way deeper into the silent room.
I slide into the soft sheets before pulling the heavy covers over my cold body. I shiver at the warmth the covers bring before settling into the bed further facing the glass wall. "Bri?" I hear a raspy voice call out causing me to flinch from the sudden noise. I hesitate before answering, "Yeah?" I ask softly and I feel her move around behind me, "Face me," she says and I turn around at the demand and I'm met with her icy eyes as she lays on her side.
"I'm sorry for earlier," she whispers and I shake my head at her apology.
"It's not your fault," I automatically respond and she shakes her head.
"I don't know what happened to you..." she trails off, reaching out from under the heavy covers to touch my cheek.
"But I'm here if you want to talk about it, or if you ever want to talk about it," she offers as her thumb caresses my cheek and I nod as warmth spreads throughout my face.
Her hand travels from my cheek past my shoulder before landing on the crook of my waist. She gently pulls me closer to her, and I oblige.
"I'm sorry for overcomplicating all of this," I say truthfully as her warm embrace surrounds me.
"You aren't overcomplicating anything, your feelings are never a complication," she whispers as her chin rests above my head, and I feel myself relax at her choice of words.
Your feelings are never a complication.
I feel myself drift off as my warm body relaxes, and for a moment, I feel at peace with everything. I feel content. I savor this moment knowing it won't last long, but I'll never forget the way my muscles relaxed and the invading thoughts finally went away.
I hear the birds chirp as brightness sheds onto my closed eyelids, causing me to scrunch my face up in disturbance. I shift slightly and I feel a warm body tangled with a mine causing my eyes to flutter open. I'm met with the invasion of the bright morning sun as it sheds through the glass walls, perks of a glasshouse I guess. I tilt my head up to avoid the sun and I'm immediately met with her blue curious eyes.
"Well good morning," her voice rasps out, and I raise a brow at her, someone's a morning person.
"Good morning," I whisper as I snuggle further into her and she chuckles.

"What time is it?" I ask and her arms wrap tighter around me.
"Almost 12," she says and I look up at her cool eyes again.
"You could've gotten out of bed," I offer and she gives me a lazy smile.
"Why would I?" she asks as she raises a brow, and I shrug. "I'm pretty comfortable," she whispers and a low hum escapes my throat as approval of her statement.
We sit in a comfortable silence as our bodies stay tangled with one another, and the sun beats down on us through the glass walls. The thought of being perfectly content with doing this every day with her almost crossed my mind.
Almost.
Jordy then filled my mind, and I question whether I'd rather be laying like this with her. No. That's unrealistic for so many reasons, one of them being that she's your best friend's sister. The other is that she's either interested or toying with Maya, either way, both of those possibilities make me feel sick to my stomach. I don't understand how she can act weird about me being at the lake with Alex, but yet she was staying with Maya? Not only that but to lie to me about it... Lying only made it worse.
See, now the thoughts are back. What once was a good moment is now spoiled, and leaving my brain in a frenzy. I guess I'm just thankful to know what her antics really are, but then again it only complicates things further, especially my thoughts. Maybe not knowing would've been better. No, now it sounds like I'm willing to be played.
I untangle my body with Alex's and a groan escapes her lips, "Where are you off to?" she asks as she lays up with me. "I'm hungry," I lie knowing I couldn't possibly stomach any food right now. Her blue eyes analyze me, "You okay?" she asks and for a second I feel myself wanting to confide in her, but I know I couldn't at least not fully. "Yeah I'm good," I mumble choosing the easier option, and she gives me a curt nod before rising out of the bed.
I furrow my brows as she slips on a light jacket, "What are you doing?" I ask curiously and her blue eyes snap to my brown ones. "What does it look like I'm doing? I'm coming with you," she says as if it were obvious, and I exit the bed along with the warmth that it brings. I adjust my large t-shirt along with the shorts underneath them before following Alex out of the large bedroom.
"Ah finally you guys are awake," Journee sing songs as she stands from the couch, and I roll my eyes jokingly.
"It's not even that late," I acknowledge her and she narrows her eyes at me.
"It's half past 2," she deadpans and my eyes widen causing me to turn to Alex.
"You didn't tell me the time," I accuse her, and she shrugs.
"You didn't ask," she says smartly.
"Y'all the time doesn't matter, but you know what does?" Journee asks as her eyes light up causing my eyes to narrow at her.
"What?" I ask cautiously as I look at Alex before looking back to her.
"The party tonight," she says excitedly and I groan as I make my way to the fridge. I pull the large fridge open and Journee continues. "Bri c'mon you have to come, plus all of our friends are coming," she persuades me and I freeze as the cold fridge air surrounds me. Does that mean Jordy will be there? Stop thinking about her Bri.

"Who all is coming?" I mumble going against my thoughts while trying to make myself seem nonchalant. I grab a yogurt, and Journee's eyes meet mine as I turn around after closing the fridge.
"Eva, Luca, Maya, and Jordy," she says as I sit beside her on the island.
Great. I guess I'll just avoid her?
"They're all gonna stay here after the party," she says with excitement laced in her voice and I internally groan. Pretty hard to ignore someone if they're in the same house as you.
"How if there were only guest bedrooms for us," I question as I open my yogurt, and Journee shrugs.
"Luca and Eva will sleep in her room, plus there's a guest house for Maya and Jordy," she explains and my stomach drops at Maya and Jordy sharing a bed. Stop she literally slept with her last night. I push the lingering thoughts away.
"Why can't Alex and I have the guest house," I say as I look to Alex who's in the living room conversating with Sebastian.
I meet Journee's eyes, "You can if you want it," she shrugs before heading to the fridge. This should make it easier to avoid her considering I won't be leaving the guest house.
"You made me want a yogurt," she sighs as she grabs one from the fridge.
"Alex you and I are in the guest house tonight," I announce and her blue eyes snap to me.
"Why?" she asks confused before rising from the couch to sit with Journee and I causing Sebastian to do the same.
"Because everyone's staying here after the party and I figured it would be nicer to have the guest house," I partially lie knowing that isn't the full reason.
"Well let's go move our stuff," she shrugs and I nod agreeing.
Before I know it I'm spraying myself with my vanilla perfume as I analyze myself in the full body mirror. I'm wearing a strapless black dress with short black heels that lace up my ankles. My curls cover my shoulders as natural makeup occupies my face, and red lipstick covers my lips. "Wow," a familiar voice says from behind me causing my eyes to connect with her blue ones through the mirror. I blush slightly as she walks closer to me.
"You look amazing," she murmurs as her arms wrap loosely around my waist from behind.
"Thank you," I say as a smile tugs at my lips causing hers to slightly tug upwards as well. I analyze her outfit through the mirror noticing she's in a black Polo shirt with light wash jeans, and air forces accompanying her feet. I lastly notice her straight black hair is in a low ponytail without a part, and I quickly break my eyes from her back to myself. She moves my hair off of my shoulder.
"We should probably go into the house since everyone's here," she sighs causing her breath to fan onto my shoulder, and shivers run through my body.
She tilts her head at me through the mirror, "Unless that is..." she trails off as she cautiously attaches her lips to my now bare shoulder. She continues, "You don't want to?" she questions as her lips leave my bare skin and her blue eyes analyze my flustered face in the mirror.
I swiftly turn around meeting her dangerous stare, "What are you suggesting we do otherwise?" I ask lowly and her brow quirks at my question.
"Why don't I show you," she says as her hand gently grasps the side of my neck before allowing her thumb to rest under my chin.
She lifts my head up carefully as her other hand secures itself around my waist before attaching her soft lips to my neck. I latch my hands around her neck for security as my legs go numb with tingles. A low gasp escapes my lips as she kisses gently on my neck,
"Careful Bri we might not make it to the party," she warns as she showers my neck with warm kisses.
My phone buzzes pulling us away from the moment, and we quickly pull apart as I grab it. I see a text from Journee telling me everyone's here, and a groan escapes my lips.
"Journee just texted saying everyone's here," I say giving Alex a disappointed stare, "Let's get this party over with," she sighs as she leads me outside of the modern guesthouse with her hand accompanying the small of my back causing butterflies to swirl in my stomach. We walk into the larger house as chatter fills our ears along with the music.
"Yay finally you guys are here," Eva says happily as she carefully pours a line of shots with Luca by her side, and I notice Journee, Sebastian, Maya, and Jordy seated at the island.
Eva is in a brown midi dress with gold heels, and her wild red hair is straightened. Luca is in a white polo shirt with khaki shorts and grey Nike dunks. Journee is dressed in a pastel yellow spaghetti-strapped dress with her hair tied into a slick high bun. Sebastian is in a black short-sleeved button-up with ripped jeans and black Nike dunks. Maya is wearing a teal crop top with a black skirt, and converse while her straight brown hair is pulled into a high ponytail. Jordy is wearing a long-sleeve black button-up with the sleeves rolled up with white shorts and Jordan 1's while her wavy hair is brushed back as the loose curls fall down her back.
"It takes Bri a while to get ready," Journee jokes, and I narrow my eyes at her.
"I do not," I say fakely offended earning a chuckle from her.
"You kind of do," Alex says from beside me and I give her a fake gasp before meeting her blue eyes, "But it's not a bad thing," she says trying to diffuse the situation.
"See!" Journee says and my eyes meet hers.
"Yeah yeah," I brush her off before meeting a pair of familiar caramel eyes.
Her gaze burns into me, but not my dark eyes. Her gaze is locked on Alex's hand still resting upon my back, but her gaze soon meets mine causing her to clear her throat.
"So are we taking shots or what?" Journee asks causing Alex and me to huddle around the island with everyone else.
"Here's to tonight because it's going to be incredible," Eva announces and we all raise our glasses as sparatic whoops leave everyone's lips. We clink our glasses together before throwing the burning shot back, and I feel my face scrunch up in disgust.
Everyone lets out a groan, "Alright our ubers won't be here for at least twenty more minutes so let's take a few more shots," Journee says as she checks her phone causing Eva to pour more shots. I look to Luca whose gaze is looking curiously at my neck.
"What's that Bri?" he asks earning everyone's attention. I give him a confused look before grabbing my phone to see.
"Omg Bri is that a hickey," Journee squeals as I look at my neck that's covered with a small bruise, but Alex shoots her idea down.
"No she burnt herself when straightening my hair," Alex says as she picks up her filled shot. I shoot her a grateful look before picking up mine, and I see Jordy's dark eyes locked on my neck.
"Aw well hopefully we'll find someone for you tonight," Journee says and I see Jordy's jaw visibly tense causing me to look away.
"To a night we probably won't remember,"
