《START | ANTONIO DAWSON》1 | on-call

"Ambulance 61, gunshot victim, 342 West Street."
Phoebe and Sylvie both groaned when they heard the alarm. They had just gotten back from another call and hoped to get something to eat before another call came through, clearly that wasn't happening. The both walked over to the ambulance and began driving to the scene. When they got there, they grabbed their equipment. The guy had been shot in the shoulder and the leg, luckily for them, both wounds were through and through.
They tried to stop the bleeding before rolling him into the ambulance. Sylvie drove while Phoebe checked the gunshot wounds.
Suddenly the guy grabbed her wrist, "Don't let them get away with it. I can't lose my family." Before Phoebe could rely, the ambulance stopped at the hospital and Sylvie opened the door.
"Everything alright?" She asked when she noticed Phoebe had completely frozen up. Phoebe soon snapped out of her trance and nodded before getting out of the ambulance.
"Male, two GSW's through and through. We managed to stop the bleeding but he needs a blood transfusion," Sylvie rushed as they got the man into the Trauma Room.
"What's wrong?" Sylvie asked as they stood by the nurses station, waiting for word on their victim. Sylvie could see how it affected her and wanted to make sure she got the closure she needed. However, before Phoebe could reply, Antonio and another gentlemen walked over to them.
"Sylvie, Phoebe, this is my Sergeant Hank Voight. Hank, this is Phoebe and Sylvie, the paramedics that brought our victim in," Antonio introduced but didn't take his eyes off Phoebe.
Hank nodded, "What can you both tell me about him?"
"He had two GSW's, both through and through. Lost quite a bit of blood but he's going to be fine. He was alone at the scene, we just assumed they left him to die," Sylvie explained.

Phoebe frowned as she continued, "We loaded him into ambulance and I stopped the bleeding in his shoulder and gave him morphine. But he grabbed my wrist and told me 'Don't let them get away with it. I can't lose my family'. I have no idea what it meant but he went into shook soon after." Sylvie could not understand why the case hit Phoebe harder than she thought. Antonio looked at the brunette and couldn't help but want to comfort her.
Hank nodded, "Thank you both. We'll do everything we can to solve this. The whole teaming is working the case."
"Is there any chance you could keep us updated?"
Antonio nodded, "Well let you know what happens once the case is over." He knew he couldn't give them any details about the actual case but that didn't mean he didn't want them to worry.
Both females nodded and began walking out of the ER as they still had a job to do. But they didn't get far as Antonio stopped Phoebe. Sylvie smiled at them both before walking over to the ambulance.
"What can I do for you detective?"
Antonio smiled, "I was wondering if you would accompany me for a drink at Molly's tonight?" To say he was nervous was an understatement. Phoebe made him feel like a hormonal teenager again.
"I would love to. But I did promise your sister I would let her introduce me to some of her friends," Phoebe explained. She liked Antonio. He was a good guy and from what Gabby had told her, troubled.
"That's fine. I'll see you tonight?"
"Most certainly detective."
