《"Cause if you're falling in love, let me feel it.》Twenty Eight

The dinner went well. Josie did pick the vegetarian option and my mother did the same to make sure she didn't left out.
"Cy I have to ask your parents some questions, and I am sure they have some questions for me as well. Do you mind showing the girls around the property in the meantime. I will come and get you before we leave."
"Yeah of course. Have fun." I say as I grab Josie's hand and motion for Lizzie to follow us outside.
Once we get outside Lizzie leads the way to the back. Probably to formulate how to set up the van.
"My mom likes your parents." Jo says quietly.
"Well I would hope so, they might be seeing each other more often."
"You think so Merrick?" She says with a small grin on her face.
"I hope so, if that's okay with you."
"It's more than okay with me."
"Good now come and decorate for me because I can not do it." I say as I lead her over to the bus and open the door for her. She climbs in by the door and walks up the stairs.
"You know I was thinking, we should leave the top white probably put another coat on it so it will reflect the sun off of it, keeping us cool. Then we should paint the side of the bus. I was thinking of a forest green and then we could bring some green accents in to tie it all together." She takes a pause and I see her real herself back in. "If that's okay."
"It sounds great babe, this is yours now too. If you need me to build anything just let me know."
I walk over to her and hug her, gently lifting her up and spinning her in the air.
"I'm so glad we're doing this." I say as I put her back down.
"Me too."
"Okay lovebirds, get out here and be useful, come help me measure."
"Coming Lizzie." I say as I hop out and grab the tape measure on the side of the work bench.
"How in the world were you gonna measure without this." I round the back to find Lizzie on the ground of the van using her body length.
"The Lizzie system. It's easy really, now come on, lay down."
"You know what, Josie, I think she needs her sister's help." I say, shaking my head while laughing.
I hide tape measures behind my back, just hoping this is normal for them. Josie goes and lays down by her sister.
I start bust out laughing at the sight. I hear my dad come up behind me and my mom and Ms. Forbes.
"What are they doing?" My dad asks in a whisper.
"Apparently they are measuring." I can't hold in my laugh at my dad's face.

My mom turns to Caroline with a questioning look, she replies with a shake of her head and putting her hands up as if saying she had no part in this.
I walk up to the van with a devilish grin, and tap on Josie's leg to get her attention. When she looks at me I hand wave the tape measurer out in front of me.
"You had that the whole time, Cypress?"
"Mhm." I say all too happy with myself. She snatches it from me and I turn around making my way back to the parents.
I hear her throw the tape measure at Lizzie and it's not long until I feel her jump on my back.
I catch her weight and start running around.
"Apologize."
"Absolutely not."
"Apologize." She says as she starts poking my side, making it hard for me to catch my breath while I am running.
"N-No." I say through my laugh. With one proper place poke we both fall to the floor laughing.
I land on top of her with half of my body off to the side.
Josie tries to blow away the hair that covered her face in the process but fails, so I take both of my hands and gently put the hair behind her ears.
"They're adorable." I hear Caroline say.
"Yeah, I have not seen Cy this openly happy for a long time." My mom says.
"Same for Josie."
I get up and extend a hand to her so I can help her up as well. I bring her knuckles to my lips.
"I am sorry, it was funny but it was also completely adorable."
"You're lucky you're cute."
"Alright you two we have to go back to the school to pick up Mg and apparently change because you are both covered in dirt now."
"Sorry Ms. Forbes."
"No need for apologies, it was extremely entertaining to watch. But you should say goodbye to your parents."
I walk up to them and give them a hug. As I am hugging them my mom leans into my ear.
"I really like them, but you told Penelope right?"
"Yes mom she knows."
"Good, we love you, have fun."
"Love you too, see you guys soon."
"Thank you for the amazing food Mr. and Mrs. Merrick." Josie says as she walks closer to them.
I am surprised when my mother brings her into a hug, I should have listened when she said she liked her. She even hugs my dad, but contrary to popular belief my dad is definitely more prone to a hug than my mother.
We get back in the car in the same positions we were in earlier.
"She really likes you Josie."
"Well your parents are amazing."
"Thank you, yours is pretty cool too."

"Thank you so much Cy, I hope to stay that way as long as you're on my good side." Caroline cuts in.
"I plan to stay there Ms. Forbes." I say through a laugh.
When we pull up to the school we all get out of the car.
"Remember to dress up, also Cypress, can you take your car and Jo with you because we will not have enough seating in mine."
"Of course."
"Mom, you're gonna make Mg and I sit in the car with you while they get their own car." Lizzie says in a frustrated tone.
"Well I haven't been able to catch up with Mg yet so he's coming with me. You can take a car alone if you would like."
"No no, it's fine."
Josie and I both laugh because we know Lizzie wouldn't pass up on time with him and even their mom knows that.
We all run up to our rooms to get ready.
I turn my curling iron on when I get up there letting it warm up while I change.
I walk over to my closet to get a nice fitting turtleneck that is knitted. I grab a pair of tighter fitting slacks and throw them on with a black belt that has a silver buckle because the plan is to wear silver jewelry.
I throw my thin white long coat on the hanger so I don't forget it.
I walk into my bathroom and curl the bottom half of my hair in soft curls just wanting it to look a little more put together.
I put in some diamond earrings, and added the rings to my hands, and put on my ankle height black boots.
I spray on my favorite perfume and I throw on my coat and walk to the twins room.
I knocked three times.
"We're coming mom. Geez, give me a minute." I hear Lizzie yell through the door.
"Uhhhh, not your mom, Lizzie."
"Oh yay I get to see her reaction" I hear Lizzie squeal before Josie opens the door.
She is wearing one of those silky looking black dresses with the string tied up in the back with some black heels.
My mouth drops open and it feels like I have forgotten how to breathe. Who needs breathing anyway, right.
She grabs my jaw and closes my mouth for me.
"Cypress you don't want to catch flies do you? And please breathe for me baby."
"Air doesn't seem important."
"Blink please."
"No, I'm okay right here." I say incoherently.
"I think you broke her, Jo."
She grabs my jaw again and leans in to kiss me effectively making me close my eyes.
"You look amazing, Cypress."
"And you are still gonna steal the show."
"Okay now that the dogs done drooling, I am going to go get Mg meet us down there in 5 minutes." She quickly walks out and disappears down the hallway.
"So I was thinking about that date. What about tomorrow for lunch?"
"Yeah that sounds great I'll set it up and I will come get you at 1?"
"Sounds good to me, I can't wait."
"Me either. Dress casual by the way."
"Okay good because this is enough dressing up for the rest of the month."
"I can definitely relate to you on that one. May I." I say as I extend my arm to the side so she can hook hers in mine.
We make our way down the hallway and make our way to the exit.
"Wow, you two make a stunning couple."
"Thank you Ms. Forbes, you look elegant as always." She grins at my comment.
"Keep this one." She says pointing at me.
"Trust me, she's not escaping me any time soon."
I give Josie side eye jokingly, only because that sounded just a bit like a threat.
"I am going to pull the car around for you Jos, then we'll be ready to go right."
"Yes, I am sure Lizzie and Mg will be out by then."
I give her a kiss on the cheek before making my way around the building. I look at my car and notice that it is just a tad bit dirty and if we are going to a nice place we are going to have to wash it on the way there.
I pull around to the front behind Ms. Forbes car and put it in park and get out.
"Nice car Cy."
"Thank you Lizzie, she needs a wash on the way there though. Good to know you decided to grace us with your presence, you look beautiful by the way."
There's a smirk on her face.
"Thank you Cy, you look great as well."
"Hey where's my compliment Cy?" Mg cuts in.
"Oh I am sorry, the women always come first. But you look great. I love that color on you." I say as I circle around the car and open the door, while keeping my eyes on Josie.
"You don't even know what color I am wearing, do you."
"Nope, but I am sure it looks great. Everyone ready to go?" I say keeping my greedy eyes towards Josie.
I hear some laughs before I hear car doors opening and closing and Josie gets into the car. I circle back around and also get into the car feeling cool leather on my legs.
Thank god the suns not out because if it were I would probably jump off of these leather seats if it were.
"Okay, first stop car wash. You ready?"
"Yeah." She replies simply before grabbing my hand and resting it on the center console.

So yes there's a lot of fluff right now, but that is because they are in the honeymoon phase and they're kind of oblivious to everything else going on right now.
