Lucas pov

I just want one day where I can relax with my wife and not be disturbed. Not going to get one for a while until Aiden is ready to take over, hopefully only another few weeks when Lily and Aiden have their ceremony.

They are to take over from me and my wife Yasmin. One of my guard comes barrelling through the door.

"Sir, Liliana has gone." He spurts out.

"Gone. What do you mean gone?" My alpha aura oozing out my guard submits and bares his neck to me in submission.

"I am sorry alpha, it would seem Liliana and Aiden got into a quarrel. Something about a new luna."

This is just outrageous.

"Leave. Please." I inform the guard, he nods and makes his way out the door closing it softly not much like his entrance.

"MY OFFICE NOW" I mind link that son of mine. Always having to cause trouble. I do wonder if he is up to the job of taking over for me.

He quickly mind links back telling me that he was on his way already with some news to tell his mother and I.

Pacing around my office I grow more agitated waiting for my son to arrive. Only a few minutes later he arrives not knocking on the door or announcing his arrival.

Although his scent is not what it usually is. Its changed. I turn around ready to blast his head off when I seen the small blonde next to him.

Who is this she wolf and why is she standing so close to my son? Where does Liliana fit into all of this.

"Aiden – " I try to speak but he interrupts.

"Dad this is my mate, Alexa."

MATE DID HE JUST SAY MATE.

"Alpha" she bows in submission. At least she has some manners. Although Aiden on the other hand is another story completely.

Giving a quick curt nod. I turn my eyes back to Aiden, he can see how angry I am at him.

"I would like to speak with my son in private." I nod to the door silently asking for the girl to leave. She gets the message and tells Aiden she will see him after and to call her once he is finished here.

Once the door is closed I don't hold back.

"Liliana has gone! Aiden, do you have any idea what you have just done!" To say he's surprised by my sudden outburst would be an understatement.

"I know, he had a falling out and she left in her car. What's the big deal? Isn't it safer for her to be away from us anyways?" Stupid child. I'm so close to whooping his ass.

"She needed our protection until the time was right. Now with you finding your 'mate', leaving Lily unprotected who's to say they wont use her against us." I'm a bit panicked right now. I was tasked with protection Lily until she was ready to fully understand where she comes from.

"What are you blabbering on about old man. She's human, no harm will come to her and its not like she is of royal blood. She dies, she dies nothing can be done." Acting nonchalant. I can see through some of it though. Yet I cannot believe what I am hearing come from his mouth right now. Yes he is right she may not be of royal blood but he also doesn't understand who she truly is what she is destined for.

I smack him on the head maybe it might put some brain cells into there. He is not ready to be alpha so soon.

"You are an idiot, the ceremony is cancelled and we will deal with your 'mate' at another time. As for now I suggest you get out of my office." I say pacing back and forth again this has wound me up greatly.

Once I am sure he is out of my office and out of hearing range I call Lily. I need to try and persuade her into coming home, itsnot only because of what she is destined for, but I do also care deeply forher. She needs the protection of the pack she can't be off wandering around thestreets they'll grab her and use her as soon as they can.
