Its late and we're both absolutely shattered. After tidying up Rafael office we both make our way out and head up stairs to bed. Just as Rafael is about to head off to his room I take his hand and stop him. His eyebrows rise in surprise.

"Don't get any ideas. After today all I can think about is how being with you makes me feel so safe I know nothing can get to me." Pushing him back a little just so he gets the message more clearly. Im not ready for that with him just yet.

"I didn't say anything, you did. Maybe its you who is getting the ideas." He comes back pushing me against the door, bending down a little he gives a quick kiss on my cheek then stands back to full height.

"Shut up." I quickly jab him. He pretends to be hurt and makes a joke about me asking him to stay in my room with me. The look of shock on my face must be something funny as he bursts out laughing. Once finished he comes and cages me in again.

"Ask me nicely to stay with you." He whispers lowly in my ear.

"Ok, ok. Fine." I quickly mumble it out, he scoffs and asks what I said.

"I said, can you please stay with me for the night?" I ask looking up at him. He nods and makes his way into my room. As he does he whispers more to him self about me begging for him one of these days and something about a cold shower. God knows why.

While Rafael goes to have a shower and get ready for bed. I start stripping off and change into my nightwear as quickly as possible so he doesn't see anything. When hes finished he makes his way over to the bed turning all the lights off as he goes.

"I'll never let anything happen to you. I hope you know that." He mumbles as he cuddles up to me. I nod knowing full well that even though I don't have the mate bond feeling like he does for me. He feels very strongly for me and would risk his life for me.

"I do know. I am so thankful to have someone like you in my life. Fighting my corner for me." I reply scooting down the bed a little more to get myself more comfy I cuddle into him and wee both drift off pretty much at the same time.
