"Hey Colby, wanna go to the mall with me and Tara?" Jake asked me as he entered my room
"Yeah why not? I need new clothes anyway" I said as he nodded and left my room
I put on my shoes, got a random shirt out of my closet and threw on a beanie. I headed downstairs where they were waiting for me
"Colby, come take a picture with us before we leave" Tara said as i nodded and made my way to her. I posed for the picture and she posted it on her snapchat story
"Who's car are we taking?" I said as we were about to leave
"Tara's car" Jake said as he showed me her keys
"Ok let's go, shopping time with the boys!!!" Tara said as she jumped up and down
-Colby-
As we got to the mall, i wanted to go to hot topic first.
"I'll catch you guys later, call me when we leave" I said as they nodded
We entered from the second floor and HT was on the first. I found the nearest elevator and waited until the doors opened. A family came out and i hopped in, seeing the doors close in front of me.
As i got to the first floor, i got to HT and went inside
"Welcome to Hot Topic! Buy 1 shirt, get the 2nd one for 20% off" said the worker when i walked in
I nodded and proceeded to head to the back of the store. I saw some jeans that i liked and a couple shirts, also got black and white nail polish. Went around the corner to find some chains but i couldn't find them anywhere
"Need some help?" I turned around and saw the girl that i met at the party

"Uh- yeah, where can i find the chains?" I said as she walked me to where they were
"Thank you" I said as she nodded
I picked out the ones i liked and headed to pay. I ended up paying with the girl who i saw at the party.
"It'll be $46.50 and aren't you the guy i met at the party the other day?" I laughed as i paied her
"Uh, yeah that's me" I said as she handed me my receipt
"Have a good day, see you around" I nodded and thanked her
-Colby-
As i left HT, i left the mall without telling Jake and Tara. I took a uber to the city so i can walk around and get things off my mind.
My phone rang and it was Jake, i ignored it as i got off the car. Then 2 min later, Tara calls me. I let it ring as i was walking the city.
The beach was around the corner and the boardwalk too. So i headed over there to watch the sunset. My phone kept ringing so i decided to put it on 'Do Not Disturb' so i can enjoy my alone time.

I lit up a cig as i was walking down the street. Cars passing by me, people shopping, or eating, basically everything that you see in LA is a everyday thing.
I came upon this star on the wall and i wanted to take a picture with it. So i stopped this random couple so they can take it for me
"I took a bunch!" The man said as i smiled and thanked him
They came out good and i posted one on IG
-
It was 9:40pm when i looked at the time and decided on going home.

As i got home after the uber dropped me off, everyone was there. All my friends were at the house, i just want a day that is peaceful here
"Where were you?! We kept calling you but you didn't answer!" Jake said as he came up to me
"I left, but i'm home now. I'm gonna go to my room" I said as i walked up the stairs
"Tell me next time man, you scared me" Jake yelled out
I scared him? Agh, like if he even cares about me
As i got into my room, i took my clothes out from the bag and hanged up the shirts and put my jeans in the drawers. I was about to throw away my receipt when i saw red marks on it. And it read
"Y/N, (950)2788"
I laughed and put the receipt on the table.

Prime Magus of Earth
"In the beginning, I had no idea what was going on. My brother and friends were gone, my sight was gone, and yet I still saw things, things about this world that no one else knew. I'm not special, or gifted, anyone could have done what I did. I just got lucky, especially after everything that happened afterwards. Magic already existed, it always had. Humans just didn't know how to do it, didn't know how to nuture that small spark in them. Now you do." - Prime Magus of Earth, Alexander Sorin. November 2021 Update: So, it has been four years since I stopped working on this. Reading back, the first "book" is finished. It has what feels like an ending to an arc. Now it isn't a perfect story but I still like it and I can see myself starting the second book, might even this on Amazon or something. My biggest regret was never coming up with artwork for the cover though. Maybe I'll look into it.
