《Secret Love (Jolby)》Confessions

Sam's excited voice is echoing throughout the tunnel, and is making the rest of the group feel ere at the sound. The camera is pointed outwards, the night vision is on so the viewers can see even better than they can. These are the thoughts that Colby Brock had to focus on as he walks behind his friends. The tears from earlier are back, and they want to be let out — but Colby won't allow that... yet.
"Guys, I think this is a bad idea. We have no idea who could be in here." Corey's worried voice snaps Colby out of his thoughts.
Colby watches in amusement as Sam playfully rolls his eyes, "Dude, it's fine! There is literally no where to hide in here, so if anyone is in here we'll know instantly." Sam says, his tone is playful, but Colby can tell that he's getting frustrated with Corey's disagreements.
Feeling like he should say something, Colby places a hand on Corey's shoulder, "Sam, don't forget what I told you. That door was open before Jake and I got to it, so Corey is right — anyone can be in here. Plus, they probably know the tunnels better than we do." Colby explains, his voice kind and understanding as he pats Corey's back.
Before Sam could reply, Jake scoffs loudly, "How do we know that you didn't plan all of this?" His voice is cold, and Colby flinches when he realizes what the younger man is talking about.
"You were with me when it all happened, Jake." Colby's says, his eyes narrowed at Jake's brown ones.
Jake rolls his eyes, "But I somehow ended up falling with you. Sounds suspicious."
Colby is about to argue back, but Sam stops him, "alright, that's enough! We're heading back. Now!" He points his index finger towards the way they came in, and waits for them all to start walking.

Sam catches Colby's eyes, his expression showing that they will be discussing what just happened. With a sigh, Colby keeps walking. He goes over his argument with Jake — Colby feels like crying again... Jake blames him for what almost happened. Maybe telling his best friend everything is a good idea.

Sam stops the dark haired man in the hallway, blocking his entrance to their room. Colby watches at Corey and Jake walk through the door — the later one giving him a glare that makes his already broken heart shatter a little more.
"Colbs..." Sam's soothing voice brings him back to reality.
With a turn, Colby looks Sam in the eyes — his own watering slightly. He can only imagine how awful he looks, bags under his eyes, tears threating to pool out.
"I'm sorry I ruined the investigation." He says softly.
Sam only snorts, "Jake was the one who started it, Colbs. Plus, we have enough footage of the tunnel." He reassures Colby.
With a sigh, Colby walks over to the bench that is in their hallway. He sits down softly and Sam sits down next to him, his eyes full of concern.
"What happened, Colby?" Sam asks, his voice so soft it sounds like a whisper.
Still hesitant to tell his friend, Colby only shrugs. Sam didn't like that answer, so he turned Colby towards him, "You know you can tell me anything, right?" He asks, his light blue eyes bore into Colby's slightly darker ones. Colby doesn't reply, he only leans forward and lays his head on Sam's shoulder, his friend wraps his arms around his shaking form.
"I messed up, Sammy." He croaks out, his voice — yet again — sounding broken. Sam stays silent, waiting for Colby to continue.

Colby lifts his head up and looks his best friend in the eyes, "I've been hiding something from you, and it's been killing me for years not being able to tell you. I-I can't do it anymore, Sam. I need you." Colby says, tears finally streaming down his face as he rambles.
"S-Sam... I'm gay." Colby confesses, his heart beats wildly as he finally says those two little words to his friend.
"I just hope you don't see me any differently, or... hate me." He mumbles the last part, hoping that it isn't true.
Sam's deep chuckle makes Colby look up. He's surprised to find Sam's eyes watery, and tears on his cheeks, "I'm so proud of you, Colby. I love you, man. I could never hate you." Sam's voice is filled with so much emotion that it bring goosebumps to Colby's body. With a watery smile, Colby attacks his brother, his best friend, his partner in crime, in a massive hug.
After a few minutes, the two separate and Sam's happy face turns to a confused one, "I'm ecstatic that you have finally came out to me, but what does it have to do with your argument with Jake earlier?" Sam asks.
Colby blushes fierce-fully, "W-Well, I've so-sort of been in l-love with Jake for awhile now." Colby lets out another confession, and watches in amusement — and embarrassment — as Sam lets out a shocked gasp.
"Wait, what?" Sam says, his disbelief on his face.
Colby chuckles softly, he goes into explaining the whole tunnel situation to Sam. By the end of it, Sam's face is beat red with anger, and it takes all Colby's strength to hold him back from marching into their hotel room and beating Jake into a pulp.
"Okay..." Colby says as he breathes heavily, "Are you done?" He asks his pouting friend. Said friend only nods his head, and pouts even more.
Colby laughs at Sam softly, "Listen, I don't blame him. If I was in that situation, I wouldn't be too thrilled either." Colby explains as he sits back down next to Sam. The blonde only scoffs, "Doesn't give him the right to be a douche about it!" Sam argues, his face turning red again.
The dark haired man only sighs, "Just leave it, okay?" He asks desperately. Sam groans, "Fine! Only because I trust your judgement." He says before standing.
Colby gives Sam a wide grin before standing, and walking back to their room together. As he opens the door, he finds Corey asleep and Jake sitting up on the bed — his phone shining brightly in his face. Jake looks up at the two friends, and his emotionless expression disappears for a split second. Both Sam and Colby notice the jealousy cross Jake's face, but as soon as they see it, it's gone.
With a quiet sigh, Colby quickly gets ready for bed. He expected to sleep in the bed with Sam, but is shocked to find his best friend laying on the other with Corey. Sam winks at Colby before turning away from him, letting sleep take him. Colby mentally groans as he climbs into bed with Jake — who is still on his phone — Colby says a quick goodnight before turning on his side and falling asleep.
