Joshua's POV

Before I entered the room, I collected the plate of food from the maid and dismissed her. I opened the door and stopped when I same what was happening. The food fell from my hand and I looked at Arielle

Arielle was on the floor beside the bed holding her injured leg while Devon had Megan against the wall, strangling her. I looked back at Arielle and she mouthed "Get help" to me. I came back to my senses and ran out of the room. I was relieved when I saw Prince Michael in the living room. Talia was about to escort him when I shouted "Hey!"

He gave me a strange look and I ran to him

"Sorry, you're Prince Michael right?" I was obviously uncomfortable and that seemed to get his attention

"Yeah, is there a problem?" He asked with a cocked eyebrow

"Yes, Devon's....Megan...blood.." I tried to talk but the words weren't forming

"Calm down and speak" he said

I took a deep breath and said "Something's wrong with Devon" Immediately, he ran upstairs and I followed, with Talia behind me. Talia and I entered the room to see Michael trying to calm Devon down and Megan consoling a scared Arielle.

"Talia, Joshua!" Megan called out to us and we ran to meet her

"Yes princess" Talia responded

"Get Arielle out of here" she said and I carried Arielle in my arms

"Drop her down now!" Devon shouted and was about to attack me but Michael held him

"Go!" Michael shouted and Talia and I ran out of the room. We took her to Megan's room then Talia left saying she needed to inform the king and queen.

I brought out a first aid kit from Megan's cupboard and started to clean Arielle's wound. It wasn't that serious, it was just a few scratch marks that weren't too deep. She winced once in a while but relaxed when I placed the Band-Aids over the wound. I dropped the kit and looked at her still shaking form

"Arielle" I called out

"Hmm"

"What happened when Devon came in?" I asked. There was a period of silence before she said...

"He came into the room covered in blood...."

I sat down on the bed waiting patiently for Joshua. My mouth tasted like shit and I still felt sticky from the sweat. I decided to brush before Joshua came back but before I stood up, Devon barged into the room covered in blood. He panthed heavily and looked really angry

"No no..." He kept on repeating

"Devon?..." I called out to him. He lookes at me and held my leg tightly

"Ahh" I screamed. Megan entered the room and tried to pull Devon away from me causing him to leave painful marks on my skin

"Oh my God Devon!" Megan screamed as Devon pushed Megan against the wall and held her neck tightly. It looked like he was trying to snap her neck but was fighting against it. Megan tried to remove his hand but he was too strong.

Joshua entered the room and stopped when he saw what was happening. The food fell from his hands and he looked at me

"Get help" I mouthed to him and he left immediately, almost tripping on the tray. Not too long after, a pale looking guy entered the room in vampire speed. He rushed to where Devon was and seemed to be controlling him with his mind because Devon released Megan and held his head, grunting in pain.

"Michael!" Megan hugged the vampire guy and he hugged her back

"Take care of the girl" he said to Megan and she ran to me

"Arielle are you okay?" She asked, looking really worried

"Shit you're injured" she mumbled. Joshua and Talia entered the room

"Talia, Joshua" she called

"Yes princess" Talia answered, looking scared

"Get Arielle out of here" she told Talia and Joshua scooped me up in his arms. I would have blushed if not for the situation we were in right now

"Drop her down now!" Devon shouted and tried to attack Joshua but the Michael guy Hel's him down

"Go!" Michael shouted and Joshua ran out of the room with me in his arms and Talia following from behind.

"Woh..." I said after Arielle finished the story. With this information, I'm sure I know what's wrong with him

"What do you tgink happened to him?'' Arielle asked in a quietly

"I have no idea" I lied and I saw a tear slip from her eye

I'm so sorry my dear Arielle, but I cannot tell you the truth right now

"Hey don't cry" I said and sat down beside her. She hugged me and I happily hugged her back, loving the feel of her body against mine

"Are you still hungry?" I asked after a period of time

"No, I just want to sleep" she said

"Okay" I let her lie on the bed and she slept. I also felt sleepy from all that happened so I lay beside her and drew her closer to me.
