I knock on Elite Alex's room and enter as he permits
"oh hey prince Devon, here to murder me?" he asks sarcastically. He massages his neck and falls on his bed
"I'm very sorry about that. I just did the first thing that came to my mind" I said
"well your mind is really fucked up. You could have just pushed me away... You know, like any other normal person" I rolled my eyes at his insult
"I'm not a normal person, I'm a vampire but anyway, I'm sorry"
"whatever. Why do you care for her so much though? She's just a pet" he asks
"I guess I like her blood very much. Finding a replacement would be difficult" I say
"I guess that makes sense"
"yeah, Imma go now. Say hi to Alexis for me" I say and walk towards the dood

I've been sitting down here for what feels like forever. The slaves have been doing a lot of things to my face and hair and I have no idea what I look like. "really pretty right." she asks
"yeah. It's cute and bad ass at the same time" I say and she laughs
"we should be going. We still have a lot of pets to take care of. Stay in the room and wait for the prince. Be careful not to ruin your hair or makeup" she says and leaves after cleaning up the bathroom
I stand in front of the mirror and just keep looking at myself. I really look pretty. I twirl and jump, feeling the dress twist around my leg. I hear the room door open so I open bathroom door, expecting to see Devon but I was shocked to see Joshua
"Joshua, you still didn't knock" I say, checking him out. He actually looks nice. He wore a button up plain white shirt and black jeans. He had a golden necklace that said 'Megan' on his neck and he also wore a leather bracelet. There was a writing on it but I couldn't see it. It was probably also 'Megan'. His hair was styled perfectly and I could see a bite mark on the his neck
"sorry about that..." he rubs his neck"... You look beautiful " he says, checking me out
" Umm... " I turn around and sit on the chair" you don't look bad either " I say and tap my fingers on the table
" look Arielle, I know you're mad at me... "
" I'm not mad" I interrupt
"what..." he ask
"I said I'm not mad" I stand up and look at him "look, I know it wasn't your fault so I'm not mad"

"but I shouldn't have left you there"
"we shouldn't even have been there in the first place"
"I know now and I'm sorry"
"I forgive you" I sigh
"really" he asks and I nod
"thanks a lot" he drags me and hugs me. Not knowing what to do, I hug him back
"for a moment I was scared you wouldn't...." the moment was cut short when Devon entered the room. Joshua and I separated the hug and faced him. I couldn't breathe. I don't know if it's out of fear or how handsome he looks right now
"Arielle, what's going on?" Devon shuts the door and folds his hands. His eyes aren't red so he isn't angry but he definitely isn't happy
"Devon I was just..." I try to talk
"leave" he looks at Joshua and says
"Devon nothing..."
"I said leave" he shouts
"don't worry Arielle, I was gonna go anyways" Joshua says for the first time and leaves, Devon's eyes following his movement
Devon looks at me and unfolds his arms, putting his hands in his pocket
"if you really want to meet your boyfriend, meet him outside the room..." he says in a monotone voice
"he isn't..."
"he isn't allowed into this room Arielle" he says
"yes prince Devon" I bow my head
"come with me" he opens up door and l the room. I run to catch up with him
We walk down the stairs in silence. We stop in front of a big door down the hall. There were bodyguards on each side of the door. They open the door for Devon and I
"you look beautiful" Devon says and goes in without a second glance, leaving me confused and flustered

The ball had already begun and I was so uncomfortable. I did see a lot of naked and almost naked pets.
Soft music was playing and a lot of vampires were socializing with each other. You could smell the wealth and power in the air
Right now, I'm with Devon talking to some Nobles. They didn't have pets and I wonder why.
"hey cousin" we all turn to see prince Adrian and his pet. Once again , she's scowling at me but I'm very grateful that she's properly dressed, nothing too special but she's dressed
"hey Adrian!" Devon excuses himself and goes to meet prince Adrian
"when did you arrive?" Devon asks after hugging him
"like 30 minutes ago. Mom made me meet a lot of girls it's a miracle I escaped" Adrian says and Devon laughs
"well, I have met with a few girls but nah..." Devon says
"I was wondering when you'd show up" prince Michael comes out of nowhere and hugs Adrian
"Mikey! How's it been?" Adrian asks and prince Michael cringes at the nickname
"please don't call me that" he says and pushes Adrian with enough force to move him a little but to send a human flying
"never" Adrian says
They talk a bit until we all hear a high pitched female voice scream
"oh my God Devon!"
