Once Rose had calmed down this 'Alice', she came strolling into the kitchen, where Elena was making coffee and Ana was pouring herself a large glass of wine, or whiskey if they had any.
"She found him a few minutes before we did." Rose explained, sending a brief, confused glance at the large glass of whiskey in Ana's hand.
Elena looked up from the cup of coffee she was pouring, asking "How is she?"
"Overreacting. Big time." Rose stated, her eyes wide as she told the girls.
"Have some sympathy, her boyfriend did just die." Ana scolded Rose, glugging the glass of wine.
Rose shook her head, sighing heavily as she replied "Those tears are for her. She didn't care about Slater. She was only dating him long enough to see if he'd turn her."
"Ouch." Ana chuckled, following behind Elena as the doppelganger brought the cup of coffee towards Alice.
Alice took the mug from Elena graciously, eyeing Ana wearily as she said "Thank you."
"Yes I'm a vampire, no you don't have to be scared of me." Ana cleared up, grinning at the black-haired human. "That is unless you piss me off. But we don't have to discuss that. I'm Ana."
Nodding slowly at the vampire, Alice turned to Elena, hesitating slightly before saying "You look really familiar. Did you know Slater?"
Mouth half-open, Elena responded "Not personally, no. I just knew that he kept detailed records of all of his vampire contacts, and I was hoping that he could point me towards Klaus."
Ignoring Ana's loud snort, Alice frowned "Doubtful. Klaus doesn't want to be pointed out."
"Do you know Slater's computer password?" Elena asked abruptly, and Ana sent the human a sharp look.
"Are you seriously asking me that right now?" Alice spat, disgusted. "I just saw my boyfriend with a stake through his heart."

"What Elena meant..." Ana interrupted, smiling at the human "Is that we're very desperate to get information on the original Klaus, like really desperate. It would be highly appreciated if you could lend a hand?"
Alice looked up at this, arching an eyebrow as she asked Ana "What do I get out of this?"
"Right, they always want something." Ana murmured to herself, rolling her eyes, before answering "How about I give you some of my vampire blood? Would that suffice?"
Her eyes wide at the suggestion, Alice nodded eagerly.

"Someone's been here." Alice broke the tense silence, but the human didn't seem bothered that all the information was wiped. "The hard drive is completely wiped out."
Rose rolled, her eyes stating the obvious "Yeah, probably whoever killed him."
"Lucky for you, Slater was paranoid." Alice rolled the chair over to some discs, and inserted a chip into the computer. "Everything's backed up on our remote server."
Turning and leaning into Ana, Rose whispered "And you're really willing to give this girl some of your blood?"
"It's called bluffing." Ana said, smirking at the vampire. "My blood is precious, Rose. I don't just throw it around, y'know?"
Ana walked forward, beside Elena, to watch the files, but Rose remained where she was stood, smiling to herself at the sassy nature of Ana.
"Kristen Stewart." Alice said, not impressed. "God, was he obvious."
"These are all links to vampires?" Elena asked, scanning down the endless list of vampire names and emails exchanged.
Alice nodded, replying "Slater was obsessed, almost as much as me."
"What about that one? Cody Webber." Rose suggested, spotting the name 'Elijah' mentioned in their emails. Rose began reading the information "We exchanged dozens of emails about Elijah."

"I could call him." Alice said, looking at the three girls behind her chair.
Elena nodded, grabbing a phone for Alice "Tell him that we're trying to send a message to Klaus. The doppelganger is alive, and she's ready to surrender. Along with his supposedly dead fiance being in the building."
"What?!" Rose exclaimed, exchanging glances between Ana and Elena.
Ana, however, seemed angry instead of surprised "I haven't avoided Klaus for nothing, Elena. You can't tell him I'm here! He will come himself!"
"I'm counting on it." Elena told Ana, but the vampire remained angry, crossing her arms and squaring her shoulders as she glared at Elena.
Seemingly starstruck, Alice gasped "Oh, my God. I knew I recognised you. And Klaus had a fiance?"
"Get him the message, please." Elena begged, looking at Alice with urgency.
Shaking her head, Ana followed after Elena once she walked away. "Why are you doing this, Elena? I'm helping you, yet you've gone against my wishes. I told you, very clearly, that I'm not reuniting with Klaus. Not yet."
"I need him to come." Elena explained, frowning at the vampire. "You don't understand, he's threatening everyone I love, I can't let him hurt anyone. I can't."
Her eyebrows drawn in, Ana nodded fiercely "You're right, Elena. I don't understand at all. Klaus will kill you."
Seeing Elena's neutral expression, Ana had to place her hands on the table to steady herself. "You want him to kill you. You're twisted, Elena."
Elena's mouth hung agape at this, and she exclaimed "Ana! How could you say that? I'm trying to save the ones I love."
"You don't understand how lucky you are, Elena Gilbert." Ana spat, her eyes narrowed as she glared at the doppelganger. "Katerina killed me, ended my life before it even began. Back in 1492, no one was there to protect me that night, not when Katerina drained me dry and not when Klaus buried me alive. Y-You have a whole, entire crowd of people protecting you and you just... you throw it away!"
Ana stormed off, tears flowing from her eyes as she sped into the bathroom.
Walking by to check on Elena, Rose said "What's up with her?"
"Just a little sensitive." Elena explained, her heart in her throat from the previous encounter. "She'll be just fine."

Ana listened to the monotone beeping of her cellphone, exhaling when Damon's voice rang through the other end "Not a good time, Ana."
"Too bad, Damon." Ana chimed, watching Elena chat with Rose and Alice from afar. "Elena seems to be having a field day here."
"What? Where are you, Ana." Damon's voice sounded firm through the other end of the phone, and she already knew that she'd annoyed the eldest Salvatore.
Smirking, Ana replied "Come to Richmond and you'll find out, blue eyes."
"Wait... is your humanity off, Ana?" Damon suddenly asked, his mouth going dry.
"Possibly." The older vampire replied, her voice light. "I mean, what reason do I have to care? Nobody wants me anymore, Damon. I'm just a pawn. Simply a pawn..." Ana laughed, a bitter sound, before saying "Come, Damon. Come before Klaus finds out that there is another doppelganger."
