Walking down the corridor behind Stefan, Ana pulled her jacket more around her body. "Geez, haven't these witches heard of heating before?"
"Shhh!" Stefan snapped, whipping around to face Ana. However, after a moment of thought, he added "And you're a vampire... you're naturally cold-blooded, you're not supposed to feel the cold anyway."
Ana went to huff, but her breath hitched in her throat when she saw a burnt body lying on the ground. The witch was unfamiliar, but then again it would be hard to recognise him through the scorch marks and scarred skin.
Before Ana could utter a word, a dark-skinned witch emerged from the room, his eyes lit with fury and his steps swift as he rushed towards both vampires. He stretched his hands out, causing both vampires a thousand migraines at once. "You killed him! He's dead and I have no one. And now you're about to find out exactly what that feels like."
Between gasps, Ana and Stefan both sank to the floor in pain. Clutching her head so hard that her nails were digging into her skin, Ana muttered "Damn... no..."
However, in both vampires debilitated states they could do nothing to stop Jonas stepping over their crippled bodies and leaving the apartment building.
Once Ana noticed the picture of Elena on the floor, she realised that perhaps feeling cold wasn't her biggest problem at the minute.

Rushing into the Mystic Grill, Ana gaped at the flames that engulfed the building. The mere sight made her heart thump and sent her into a wild run throughout the restaurant, a desperate attempt to find Damon in case he was stupid enough to go back inside for Elena. Stefan had already got in before Ana, and it wouldn't surprise the vampire if Stefan had rescued Elena.
What worried Ana more was when she noticed Jonas in the grill attacking a blonde human, shards of glass within his reach. Huffing deeply at the idea of yet another fight, Ana shook her head before using her speed to reach Jonas, knocking the human out the way. Raising an eyebrow at Jonas, Ana hummed "Miss me?"

Jonas huffed deeply, luckily dropping the human body to the ground. However, he focused his attention on the petite vampire in front of him and, instead, gripped her arm harshly and pulled her to one side. Leaning, he whispered "Let's see how you like this one, little vamp."
Without warning, Jonas began whispering words in Ana's ear, and Ana could understand the Latin instantly, her only degree proving useful for once. The witch kept repeating the same phrase "Sanguis ejus in siti, sanguis ejus in siti, sanguis ejus in siti": Blood is thirst. Ana had no idea what this conniving witch was doing to her, but she didn't like it one bit.
Unfortunately for her, the spell was having some sort of effect on her vampirism, as she found she couldn't even muster enough strength to break from Jonas' grip. Looking up to Jonas with wide eyes, Ana's eyebrows knitted defensively. "What have you done to me, huh?"
However, Jonas didn't utter another word. As soon as he broke his hold on Ana, he stalked out of the Mystic Grill, leaving a very confused Ana amidst the destruction of the witch. Why did she have this funny feeling that something wasn't quite right?

"And you're sure you're okay?" Damon gave Ana a stern look, one hand on her arm.
Him, Ana and Elena were all in the Gilbert Residence, awaiting for Katherine and Stefan's plan to go into action of defeating Jonas. After what had happened in the Mystic Grill, Ana had thought it best to go straight to Damon and tell him, considering the spell was to do with blood and thirst - maybe Ana would become a ripper?
Sighing deeply, Ana put a hand to her forehead and nodded rather weakly. "Yes, I'm fine. Perhaps a little woozy, but it's probably from the strength of Jonas' spell. I'm sure it was just a slight sedative spell or something - I hope it was just a slight sedative spell, anyway. On another note, what do you plan to do with Jonas? I assume you and Stefan have been scheming."

"Right. Katherine's pretending to be Elena so when Jonas arrives, Stefan and her can ambush him. I forgot how useful Katherine being a doppelganger really is." Damon smirked, snaking his arm around Ana's waist and resting his head on hers.
Elena crossed her arms awkwardly, looking to Damon with raised brows. "How did you guys convince her to do this again?"
"We didn't. It was actually her idea." Damon replied, not moving from his embrace with Ana.
Shaking her head, Elena frowned and said "Wow. That's... not good."
"Are you sure we're talking about the same Katherine here?" Ana asked, smirking to herself.
Before Damon could reply, the sound of heavy footsteps could be heard from the stairs and Stefan and Katherine emerged.
Stefan gave Damon a reassuring gaze, stating "Everything's taken care of."
Katherine huffed once she reached where everyone was stood and yanked the necklace from her neck. "I'm guessing you're going to want this back. But your pretty little outfit is going to need a good dry clean."
Snatching the necklace from Katherine's grip, Elena looked between all the vampires, but mostly at Katherine. "You're going to have to get out of here before Jenna gets home."
"Is that all you have to say to me?" Katherine spat, and immediately Ana took a step forward.
"Easy, sister. After what a long day we've had, I really wouldn't cross the invisible line of manners, trust me." Ana grunted, crossing her arms and tilting her head.
Nodding at what Ana had just said, Elena added "This doesn't change the way I feel about you."
"I don't much like you. either, if we're going to be open. And frankly, I'd be happy to see you dead, but if we're going to try to take on Klaus, we kinda need you to be alive." Katherine hissed, narrowing her chocolate eyes at Elena. "So I'm not a threat to you, Elena. If any of you are going to believe anything, believe that."
"Well I'll be damned." Ana whispered to Damon, both of them with identical smirks.

Led in Damon's bed beside him, Ana smiled to herself. "Y'know... I like this thing we have going..."
"Ditto." Damon murmured back, entranced in the book he was reading.
Not taking the hint that Damon was busy, Ana continued. "No, seriously. I mean, nothing has ever been this perfect for, like, centuries. Once this whole Klaus thing is over I think... I think I might stay here, in Mystic Falls."
At that Damon put his book down and placed a gentle kiss on Ana's head. "I thought you were staying anyway."
"Yeah, right." Ana smiled, cuddling up to Damon a little more until she got the hungry burn in the back of her throat. Her soft smile morphing into a frown, Ana said "I might go get myself a blood bag, I don't feel too good. You want one?"
At Damon's nod, Ana strolled down to the cellar where the mini-fridge was and got three bags, one for Damon and two for herself. Despite the temptation to down the blood right there and then, she thought it'd be nicer for her and Damon to drink together.
Once she got upstairs, she handed the blood bag to Damon and lifted hers in the air, adding "Cheers!"
The sweet taste of blood down Ana's throat was sickly, and it was the best feeling in the world. It felt like being reborn again, it was like drinking water after years of having a parched throat, it was like tasting sugar for the first time. Every fibre of Ana's being lit up, her heart racing that little bit faster. The blood was bliss. Well, until it came spluttering up again, spewing from Ana's mouth like vomit.
"Woah!" Damon yelled upon seeing the blood over his covers. He rushed from where he was led down with his vampire speed and rubbed Ana's back in comfort. As soon as Ana had stopped spewing her guts up, Damon frowned. "Yeah, I think we need to get you a witch... and soon."
