(And here is the second chapter! I'll probably be writing out the last ones as relatively longer than usual since I want to cap this off at forty chapters. Somewhat OCD I guess haha, but all the same I aim to please. Anyway, enjoy!~)
---(Y/n)'s Pov---
"S-STOP!"
The shouting woke me up and was accompanied by loud snarling noises. Once my (E/c) eyes snapped open, I sat up abruptly and started to look around. I was in a such a deep sleep, and my Soul felt so comfortable and safe being around Sans... that I failed to perceive a threat.
Once my eyes managed to adjust to the darkness, I narrowed them in uncertainty at the door that was wide open. Why did it feel like I was forgetting something important?
Where is Sans?
Looking down towards my chest where he was once sleeping peacefully, I could tell that we were probably out for almost nine hours... surprisingly, his sleeping habits were growing on me.
Slowly my hand moved up to brush against my opposite arm, but once I made contact... I hissed in pain. What the hell?
Taking a better look, I noticed a slice in the fabric of my clothes that went straight down to my skin. Seemingly, the fabric of my coat around the initial cut was damp with a coating of reddish saliva. At first, I assumed it to be blood... but I soon placed it as Sans' work. Whatever he did, it seemed to stop a lot of the bleeding that would of soiled my clothes.
But... what... happened?
Clutching my head firmly in deep thought, the throbbing from my headache was getting much worse.
And then more growling...
Carefully, I went to move out of the room... but not before noticing a deep gash in the wall next to the door. I knew immediately that this was the cause of Sans' weapon. And judging by how deep it was... not to mention the splinters from dragging it out of the wall... Sans was enraged.
Before I could exit the room, I found myself slumping against the door as another wave of pain pounded against my head. This was absolutely frustrating... I must of been too groggy when I somehow managed to get cut, only to pass out and have some kind of faint amnesia. Taking another quick glance at my wound, I knew that something was terribly off about it's location- almost as if... "(Y/N)?"
Papyrus said, suddenly showing up right in front of me. Why did I feel so terribly weak? Instantly, as if something was wrong, Papyrus lowered his voice. It became menacingly low. "(Y/n)... you must return to the bed. Sans is in a protective mode right now. He thinks of that as his territory while in this state, and believes that you are safe there. If you go out into the open, he might become assertive with you."
"Assertive?" I suddenly asked while raising an eyebrow. Not deciding to heed his warning, I carefully moved past him... but not before stumbling to the railing just outside. I was feeling very light headed.
"(Y/n)!" He whisper-yelled. Taking a look over the railing, I managed to see three dead bodies scattering the floor. Several of their limbs were missing, Sans was still shirtless... a few organs were hung up like Christmas decorations. All in all, an almost normal morning. "Sans... he is not himself."

Once he said that, I took in Sans' state of mind. He was more unpredictable than usual, his eyes seemed to be looking past the physical aspects of our own world and instead... were identifying others by their Soul. He let out a low vibratory sound from his ribcage, almost sounding like an entertained growl.
Once his vision fell on the staircase, he saw me. Well, more specifically he saw my Soul... and that is when my memories came flooding back. The way he looked at me, it was the same stare that he gave me about thirty minutes ago.
I couldn't tell if he was staring at me out of shock, horror, or even surprise... maybe all three, or perhaps it was simply a more neutral expression. Regardless, it eased my memories that came flooding back.
I could remember him laying on me, the low rumble of content continued on throughout the night. I woke up suddenly because I did sense something... and because I had to make a choice between myself or Sans, I obviously chose his wellbeing over my own.
An intruder managed to sneak into the house since Sans wasn't in a guard dog mode. Papyrus was probably sleeping in his bed, snoring away without a care. Usually, since Sans was an insomniac, he would make sure that everything was perfectly fine. But Sans was currently catching up on a lot of lost sleep, so it was no surprise that he was a bit more relaxed.
However, once I felt that something was off, I noticed that the door was creaked open and that a man was standing over us with a knife in hand. He was hoping to make a silent kill so that no one would be alerted, but that obviously did not go as planned.
Since Sans was laying on top of me, he would of received the first strike. So instead, with all of my strength, I shoved the skeleton to the floor which caused him to immediately wake up with a loud groan... to me standing over his body in a defensive position.
I took one step forward and blocked a kick that he sent my way, ending up in a quick skirmish before he threw his knife with precision at Sans who was still groggily laying on the floor in shock. My foot felt much better... probably because of Toriel's pie restoring my HP. So, once I saw the angle that it was thrown on, I knew that it would be him or myself.
So since I actually care about him, I chose to put myself into the knife's path which immediately got stabbed into my arm...
Almost instantly, an axe went flying past my vision, striking the wall where I remembered the gash being. Sans finally stood up to his full height and summoned many bones against the man who scurried out of the room and towards the stairs. "Three... there are three of them..."
"Don't talk..." He suddenly said, his eye burning red in an effort to lock all of the doors to prevent escape. A box formed in front of Sans, showing that he was in combat with the three Humans that were desperately looking for an escape. He took a closer look at the knife before tearing it out of my arm. I winced briefly as he took a look at the wound. That is when everything went to hell. "You fucking knew the trajectory of it."

Blood was starting to flow while the skeleton leaned in close with his mouth parted to run his scarlet tongue against my injury. I wanted to pull away from him, but he only responded by gripping a hand on my wrist and the other on my shoulder to keep me still. "It was... you or I, Sans... and I care about you too much..."
He pulled away at the sound of banging on the windows and doors, by now Papyrus was awake and snarling at the noises. When Sans returned his attention to me, I was already almost unconscious. I was sure that I'd die since it was my artery that was struck. So as a result, I had to say my last words to him... not knowing that they'd put him over the edge. "Because... I am in love with you... so much, that it apparently kills me. Hahah...."
"Really? Makin' a pun at a time like this? Ya really know how to put the fun in funeral, ya know?" He mused. When I didn't respond with another pun as we once did back when I was shot, Sans took to glaring at me. I was motionless, but still breathing since he managed to stop my bleeding. "C-c'mon, cupcake..."
No response.
Sans' eye sockets went out as he picked me up gently. He was usually not as careful while I was awake, but right now? Sans was cautious... He checked my pulse after placing me on the bed, immediately entering into a protection mode to defend my weakened state.
Until he stepped out of his room with that empty expression to stare upon the three intruders that barged into HIS territory. HIS family's home. They were trained, but they were not prepared to fight a Monster that had such a high amount of LOVE. "Heh. I guess that you three are really in for a HORRIBLE time. But hey, I'll be sure to enjoy it... know why?
He paused for dramatic effect, grinning in such a calm way that it made them shiver from his sheer sinister approach. "Because- ya can't spell SLAUGHTER without LAUGHTER."
.....
Almost immediately, I was snapped out of my thoughts when Sans let out a low growl of discontent. I could tell that he wasn't staring at me- but rather at... my wound...
"Sans...?" I asked carefully, dropping my usual relaxed attitude. He obviously was not himself, and I couldn't read any of his intentions. Papyrus instinctively backed away, moving towards the stairs which he slowly descended. Sans followed Paps' movements, making sure to have his eye stalk him until he was outside of the house. Papyrus literally left. My Soul felt an unnatural throb of discomfort, not sure how to approach Sans or the fact that I was still alive from an injury like that. "Sans?"
In an instant of his name being spoken, the skeleton teleported in front of me. I was tempted to take a step back, but I don't think that I would of gotten very far. The skeleton put one hand on my back, and the other gripped around the wrist of my injured arm. Once he managed to pull me into his bare ribcage, Sans brought his skull close to my wound where he deeply inhaled.
Here we stood, in a closed room that was filled with fresh blood and corpses. And then there was him, the skeleton that was looking over every inch of my body for some kind of reassurance over my health. After he was certain that I was fine, Sans lifted me by placing one arm around my back, and the other under by backside... I felt like a child.
Soon, he went back into his room and closed the door. I raised an eyebrow at him as he laid me down onto his bed... which was followed by him crawling on top of me. By now, Sans was straddling me and made a motion for my Soul to come out to him... and when it did without complaint, I gave him a look of uncertainty.
He still hasn't snapped out of whatever this was... his more primal instincts if I were to guess. Sure different Monsters would have their own unique way at handling their mates, but this primitive approach was from consuming Humans... that and slipping In and out of insanity. A long time ago, Monsters were actually said to 'Hunt' Humans... generally for their Souls, but them eating one was not unheard of- even if it was still uncommon.
But never mind that... was I honestly not fighting back? Did my Soul actually WANT what he was about to do?
Carefully, he called upon his own Soul which rolled into one of my own hands. Its shape and vibrant white glow was so captivating... and the fact that it was allowing me to be so close to it showed an unshakable bond of trust. This was pure acceptance between two Souls. Sans was holding mine, and I was holding his.
It didn't take much longer for me to recognize his actions. He knew that I was panicking, and instinctively made a more animalistic move to calm me down. This was his way of showing me that we were both okay... but it was done in the most intimate way possible for a Monster.
Cautiously, as if he were handling glass, Sans moved my Soul against his. They glowed a faint color, taking in each other's affection without restraint. Sans released a pleasurable moan at the feeling while my breath simply hitched in the back of my throat, refusing to praise him with such a noise that I would never dare to produce.
But after what he just did... that didn't matter because he could feel my sense of pleasure from his actions. And I could practically feel his over protective instincts emerging. It was a feeling that made me submit to his hold as he wrapped his arms around me, only pulling away once to reveal his work. A small faint outline of Sans' Soul rested in the center of my own, while an image of my own appeared on his.
Our Souls were now bonded.
