Max's POV
School went by In a blur. I kept replaying this Morning over and over again. Each time, if smile and 'accidentally' doodled Tyler's name on my notes.
So thank gosh all my classes for the day is over and jules is taking me home. Well, out to eat, then home. "So have you two hooked up yet?" She asks. I spun my head towards her and my face goes red. "No." I said. She smirked. "Don't lie to mama now."
"I'm not lying." I said. She shook her head and turned back towards the road. "Okay max. You could at least try to have a little fun with the guy. He likes you, you do know that right?"
"Does making out with him count?" I mumbled under my breath. She slammed on the break and pulled over on the side of the road. "What did you just say?!" she screeched, smiling. I smiled and rolled my eyes. "I said we made out. you happy now?"
"You two made out!?" I smiled bright and bit my lip, blushing hard. "Maybe....."
"You did!" she smiled, "When?!"
"This morning." She smiled and jumped a little in her seat. She almost looked happier than me. "How?" She asked, a little calmer than she first sounded. "I don't know........ It just kinda..... happened. I wasn't expecting it to happen honestly." she hook her head. "But why did you make out with him? I thought you didn't like him."
I blushed more. "I guess i didn't realise it until he kissed me." I admitted. She chuckled and turned back in her seat, buckling her seatbelt and starting to drive again. "Well your stupid, so that explains everything." My mouth dropped open and I punched her shoulder. "I'm not stupid."

"Yes you are. He has liked you since the day he saw you and your just now kissing him." She says. I shake my head. "I'm not a slut like SOME people." She looks over at me and smiles. "Oh honey, I'm not a slut. I'm currently fixed on one guy right now. And hopefully a while."
"Wait...... does that mean your dating Carter?" Her smile drops. And I suddenly feel horrible for asking. "No....... we had an agreement that we wouldn't sleep with anyone else. And of course, he broke that. So I got him back and did the same. So I'm dating someone else now."
"Who is it?" I asked. She sighed and raked and hand through her hair. "This guy, David."
"Oh...... Are you guys serious?" She shakes her head. "He wants to be. But the only reason I'm even dating the damn guy is because I'm getting back at Carter. I just wish he would get over whatever other slut he's sleeping with."
Man, I've never seen jules THIS upset about ANYBODY before. She usually just likes the guys for her own pleasure. Carter must really be something to her if she's willing to do this. But I'm already going through stuff right now, and it's none of my business, so I'm just going to not worry about it.
"I'm sorry, jules."
"Don't be."

Dinner was nice. Junior called me nonstop though. and texted me, but I ignored every single one of them. After what Tyler told me about him, I don't even want to see him ever again.
Jules brought me home. On the way, I got a text from Tom saying he's coming sometime tomorrow morning an taking me to his house for the weekend. I smiled and got really happy. Jules starting blaring basket case by green day and we screamed along to the lyrics.

We soon got to my apartment and I got out. "Thanks for dinner, jules." She smiled and ward her hand. "No problem. No go have fun." she wiggles her eyebrows at me. I roll
My eyes and walk towards the front door. I open it and jules spins away.
As I'm closing the door, Tyler is running down the hall towards me, shirtless. Right as the door clicks shut, I'm being lifted int he air by Tyler's strong arms. I giggle mighty as he spins me around. "Colton, what the hell are you doing?!" He laughed and jumped on the couch. Still holding me. He landed on his backs me pushed me farther in the air by placing his feet on my stomach and gripping my hands. intertwining our fingers.
"It's movie night!" Tyler yelled. I laughed and kept a hold of his hands so I didn't fall. "And you have me in the air, ready to fall why, exactly?" I question. He lays me down easily and wraps his arms and legs around me, trapping me from even moving. I was laying on his bare chest, with my own. "So you can fall right Into my arms." He whispered in my ear. I smiled and leaned up just enough to see his face. He smiled back.
"What movie?" I asked. He shook his head. "Any movie you want, princess." I smiled and tried to pull away from him. Didn't work. "Not just yet." He said. He didn't give me any time to say anything before kissing me. It was quick, but still jut as sweet as any other kiss he had given me.
I smiled and pulled away. He let me go and still smiled. I got up and went to the DVD player. "Which one you want to watch? Annabelle, or the ring?" I asked. "Hmmmm........ Annabelle." He answered. I Smiled and put it in. I went back over to the couch and sat down right beside him. He did the stupidest thing and yawned, stretching and putting his arm over my shoulder.
I looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "Really?" I asked. he smiled and nodded. "Really. Now Shh, the movies starting."
I rolled my eyes and watched the screen, moving in closer to Tyler. And I'm not sure when, but sometime during the movie, I fell asleep.

The Anthology
This is my collection of short stories. I ask what stories would my audience like to read and write whatever they post in the comments. I strive for more than two dimensional characters and I like to make my stories somewhat unique. The first six entries are my experiment to just write without stopping and see what comes out. They can serve as an introduction for the reader to me as a thinker and writer. Although it should be known that the majority of those entries were written in a foggy state of mind. Entry seven is where my short stories begin.

The Paths of Magick
Credits: Story by Xcaliburnt. Cover Art by @Bervolart. Magick, the power to bend the laws of reality. All because of a mystical substance known as mana. Mages follow the Paths to achieve power, for there is no more addictive chase. Each Path winds and twists, forcing mages through the flames of adversity and challenge. Though the operative word is "path", the reality is far less straightforward. Instead of a road, Paths are like the branches of world trees, erupting into the heavens, intertwining, and ending in sharp snaps. Only the strongest reach the sky. There are several Paths, and many Ways to walk them—variations of the same Path, and like the stars, they are endless. Magick is the sacred flame that scours the fat, rendering the truest self. Superfluous flesh melting away to show the skeleton of one's being. A chance for ascension—apotheosis. Though not every mage works to godhood, if they survive long enough, It is inescapable. Witness the lives of those that tread the knife's edge of self-destruction. Each one intertwined in their search for answers, revenge, and, most of all: power. These individuals have all lost something precious—irreplaceable—and In search of filling the void left behind, they have taken up the mantle of a mage. Per aspera ad astra. Ad mortem vel divinitatis. (Through adversity to the stars. To death or divinity.) There is no consistent release schedule except my consistent inconsistency. Besides, there’s like a thousand pages worth of content, how can—you already read it? Goddamn. Oh, and there is a very long hiatus between volumes as I intend to edit and rewrite a lot. What to Expect: This story is progression fantasy, so expect a healthy dose of training. It's also heavy on slice of life, and it isn't entirely overarching-plot-driven. Expect characters to live their lives, and not always be on some quest to save the world. There's a lot of magic theory and discussion about it in the story. So, if you don't like impromptu lessons on sorcerous theory by traveling monster slayers, this might not be for you. But if you do like it, rejoice! For there is a lot of it. This is also heavy on prose, purple as a bruised eye. I use outdated, uneccesarily collegiate-level terms and play around with the writing style just for the heck of it. I find it fun to wax and wane poetic, and that might grate on you—I don’t plan to change this aspect of the Paths much if at all. Onto the viewer discretion is advised parts: This is grim-dark/ grim-heart. Take the tags seriously. There will be combat scenes that are brutal and horrifying. Fights to the death tend to be. This is a tale about medieval mercenaries (quite literal killers for hire), man-eating monsters, and eldritch gods beyond the material plane. Beside that, there will be traumatic events that are best left unread. I do not detail certain acts I find heinous enough, instead leaving some parts unwritten but still alludded to if not outright stated; there is simply no graphic narration thereof. This is not for the faint of heart.

Rampaging Biology
It is the year 2199, the end of the 22nd century. Due to a biopocalypse unleashed by a certain genetic engineer, all life on the planet evolved at incredible speeds, but humans couldn't keep up so they built walled cities. The story follows a certain clone trying to find its place. The first 90ish chapters aren't those that I am proud of, but if you like the premise, stick around, it gets better in the 100s. Five chapters per week Mon-Fri
