Conner and Alex still were chained to the wall in the Northern Kingdom Castle.
"Alex we have to send for help in some way." Conner said.
"Maybe I can use my magic to send a note to someone who can help us." Alex said. She snapped her fingers and a piece of parchment and a pen appeared.
"Ok, how will that help us. You going to write the message with your mind?" Conner said.
"Yes. Of course." Alex said. She concentrated on the pen and it floated to the parchment and started writing.
"Wow, I should write a new book just about your powers. Hey that's actually a good idea." Conner said and smiled at his newly found idea.
"Shut up, I'm trying to concentrate." Alex said.
"What are you writing?" Conner said.
"Writing a recipe for a spell, that can banish these two somewhere far away." Alex said.
"What's the spell?" Conner asked.
"It's like the wishing spell, but sort of motified." Alex said. "I created it a few years ago, just for them."
"Why didn't you ever use it then?" Conner said.
"I don't know. Probably because the day I created it we had a silly fight and...and I forgot about it."
"What fight?" Conner asked.
"The fight we had about Carrie. When she turned 16." Alex said.
It was a very important day for young Carrie. It was her sixteenth birthday, and she wanted everything to be perfect. She got up that day and combed her long auburn hair. She always wanted to color her hair a different color, but her mother would never let that happen. She curled her hair into soft beach-waves and put on a pair of white jeans and a blue off the shoulder blouse. She ran out of her room, and accidentally bumped into her 18 year old brother Matthew who was holding a tablet in his hands.
"Sorry Matt. I didn't see you." Carrie said.
"You getting ready for your party tonight?" He said.
"Yeah, mom and I still have to go out and get the cake. What are you doing?"
"Mom wants me to research colleges, and pick my top ten. This is a lot of work." Matthew said and showed Carrie his list on the tablet.
"You only have one...and it's a major party school." Carrie said.
"How do you know that?" Matthew said.
"Because I already have my top ten colleges." Carrie and and smiled. "Not sure mom and dad would want you to go to a party school."
"Well, thank you for telling me that. But it's still on top of my list." Matthew said.
"Why?"
"Because it's by the beach, and my friends are planning on going there next year." Matthew said.
Carrie rolled her eyes and walked downstairs to get some breakfast. In the master bedroom, Conner and Bree were in their bathroom getting ready.
"So while your cleaning the house with Matthew, Carrie and I are going to pick up her cake, decorations, and get her a dress." Bree said while curling her hair.
"I can't clean the house today, I have a video chat with the artist who's creating my comic book." Conner said as he brushed his teeth.
"The house isn't that dirty, just have Matthew vacuum and put the dishes away then." Bree said.

Conner finished brushing his teeth and grabbed his phone. "Oh yeah, I invited Alex."
"What? You did. We haven't seen her in a while." Bree said putting on her mascara. "She didn't come to Elizabeth's going away party."
"Because she was busy. She's way busier than we are. I told her about the party and she wanted to come." Conner said.
"So she invited herself." Bree said and put away her mascara, and looked at Conner. "That's seems weird."
"Bree what's wrong? You love Alex." Conner said.
"I do, but it's weird she would invite herself to Carries party when she hasn't been here in seven years." Bree said. "You don't think she has plans to, I don't know reveal the Fairytale World to her."
"I don't think so. She knows that we don't want them to know." Conner said. "Don't worry. Anyways she'll be here at four a clock."
"Ok, I should be home by then." Bree said. "Carrie and I better go now so we have enough time in the shops. See you later."
"Bye." Conner said and kissed her.
Meanwhile in Camelot, Alex was sitting at her desk writing out something on a piece of paper. Arthur came in and sneaked up behind Alex and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Alex smiled and turned around and kissed him.
"You leaving now?" Alex asked.
"Yeah, don't worry I'll be back as soon as I can." Arthur said.
Alex looked at him with worried eyes and stood up and put her arms around his neck.
"Please be careful. I don't know what I'd do without you." Alex said.
"I will. It'll be a small fight and I guarantee we will win this battle and I'll be home as soon as possible."
"This isn't a small fight Arthur. This is a war. Please don't take this lightly." Alex said with pleading eyes.
"I won't, I promise. What are you writing?" Arthur said wanting to change the subject.
"A spell, that will surely work to get rid of those Evil twins." Alex said.
"Will it be you or Annabelle in casting this spell?"
"Neither."
"What are you talking about?" Arthur asked. "Isn't Annabelle your heir?"
"Apparently not." Alex said sadly. "I was positive that Annabelle would be the one to take my place...but she's not. I started having doubts, which kills me to say because she is doing so well. So I went to Hagetta for answers. She gave me potion she made, and she said my heir would appear to me in a dream that night."
"So who's your heir?" Arthur asked.
"Carrie."
"Carrie...Carrie Bailey. Conner's daughter?" Arthur said. "But she doesn't even know magic."
"I know. But I can't let this go without talking to Conner at least and hopefully Carrie." Alex said. "Once I tell Conner about my plan, and what's happening I'm sure he'll understand. Today's Carries birthday, I have to go in a few minutes. I'll talk to him then."
"What are going to tell Annabelle?" Arthur said.
"Nothing yet. I have to see what happens." Alex said. A knight then came into the room and knocked on the door.
"It's time your majesty." He said.
Arthur hugged Alex one last time and kissed her.

"Be careful, I love you." Alex said as she tightly hugged her husband.
"I will, I love you too. I'll be back as soon as possible...I promise." Arthur said and left his wife in the room. Alex took a deep breath and magically changed her clothes in to ordinary Otherworld clothes and she waved her hands around and was transported right to Conner and Bree's front door. She rang the doorbell, and Matthew answered.
"Oh, hey Aunt Alex." Matthew said.
"Hey Matthew. Is your dad here?" Alex asked.
"Yeah, he's finishing up a meeting in his study." Matthew said. "Come on in."
Alex walked in and Matthew closed the door. Alex then stumbled back in fright as the families small automatic vacuum almost went over her foot.
"Oh don't worry, it won't hurt you. Don't you have one of these Aunt Alex?" Matthew asked.
"Um, no. He have a hand operated one." Alex said.
"Wow, I haven't seen one of those in years." Matthew said.
"So where's your mom, Elizabeth and Carrie?"
"My mom and Carrie will be here in a few minutes, they went to get decorations and cake. Elizabeth should be here in about an hour."
"She's in college right. Wow, how time flys." Alex said. Conner soon came out of his study with his tablet.
"Hey Matthew what do you think of these pictures, do you like them?" Conner asked and showed him pictures of the Ziblings.
"Yeah they look cool dad." Matthew said. "Maybe a little bit more lighting around The Eiffel Tower would be cool."
"That's what I was thinking." Conner said. He then noticed Alex. "Oh hey Alex. I didn't hear the bell ring. We seriously need to get it fixed."
"Hey can I talk to you?" Alex said.
"Sure." Conner took Alex into his study and closed the door. "What is it?"
"Carrie, is my true heir of magic." Alex said. Conner looked at Alex and didn't know what he has hearing.
"What? I thought Annabelle was."
"She isn't, Carrie is according to Hagetta." Alex said. "She gave me a certain potion to see my true heir."
"And you saw Carrie." Conner said. "Are you positive?"
"I'm extra positive it was." Alex said.
"I don't know what your expecting me to do."
"Let me train her. Just to see if my vision was true." Alex said.
"I'm sorry Alex. Not in a million years. She has a life here, with me, Bree and her family. Your not taking her away from us. Magic is not her destiny, I know that."
"You've always said she's just like me in ways. Why, can't she come to a world you used to love."
"I still love it. Why I do you think I wrote an entire series about it. About our adventures. Every time I write and read those stories, I re live everything we went through. It was amazing, but I also wouldn't give that experience to anyone else...because it was frightening. We almost died because of magic a thousand times, and I'm not risking my child's life, because of some vision you had."
"What am I going to do?" Alex said to herself.
"Why do you want her so badly anyways?" Conner asked.
"No reason. Why don't you tell your kids your stories are true?"
"Like I said, because I don't want what happened to us to happen to them. They have big things coming for them in this world, and I don't want them throwing that all away because of magic. Remember happened to you. You learned magic and then you went crazy with it. You couldn't control yourself."
"Because I was under a curse!!" Alex said.
"Exactly! I don't want what happened to you happen to my little girl." Conner said and started to tear up. He turned around and sat in his chair. "Alex if that's all you came here for, then leave. I don't want you near Carrie."
Alex was shocked and heartbroken by what her brother said. She started to tear up and snapped her fingers. She appeared back in her bedroom in Camelot. Inside the room was her handmaiden, and the headguard.
"Sir Charles, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in battle?" Alex asked.
"Your highness...the battle has ended." Sir Charles said.
"Where's Arthur?"
Sir Charles stayed silent and lowered his head not wanting to share the horrifying and saddening news. Alex started to tear up, already knowing what had happened.
"He died in battle your highness. His final words were of you and the girls and that you stay safe and how much he loved you." Sir Charles said tearing up himself. Alex burst into tears and fell onto the floor. Her handmaiden ran to her and tried comfort her.
"Wait so this is why you needed Carrie. You needed her to cast your spell." Conner said.
"Yes, because this spell, in order for it to be activated it needs a spark of powerful magic that has never been used." Alex said. "It needs new magic. It's done, it's been sent to Carrie."
......................................
In the Otherworld, Bree and Charlie were sitting in the living room watching tv, waiting for any type of signal that their loved ones were safe.
"So tv actually gets better. Huh, good to know." Bree said.
"So how did you meet my Grandpa?" Charlie asked.
"We met on a school trip to Germany. He was always every awkward around me, and I wasn't sure if I liked him or not. But he soon became very mysterious and he ended up taking me on an adventure through Europe, and that was my first trip to the Fairytale world."
"That sounds a lot like Grandpas third book." Charlie said and ran to Conner's study. She came back with six books in her hands. She carefully laid them down on the table and Bree smiled looking at her boyfriends future works.
"Wow, he wrote all of these!" Bree said picking up the third book.
"Yeah, and he wrote, and directed a movie based on the first book and you produced it." Charlie said. "He also has several comic books and other series."
"I love how proud you are of him." Bree said and smiled at her.
"I love my grandpa, of course I am." Charlie said. Just then, a bright light appeared and a piece of paper flew down onto the coffee table. "It must be from my mom and the others."
Bree picked it up and read it. "Its from Alex, and it's for you."

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
