《Unknown Love ~{discontinued}~》Chapter 5

I ran as fast as I could to my room.
What's happening to me?
Well it's not like I haven't been through this before. But that was a full transformation! Not one like this. This hurt so much more. Tears threatened to fall but I didn't let them. Once I came across my room I pushed it open with the side of my body. I stomped into the room and slammed the door behind me. I jumped onto my bed stuffing my face with a pillow. Soon letting the tears roll down my cheeks like a waterfall.
those words echoed through Toms mind along with some childish giggles.
"What do you want?" I groaned, quietly.
I groaned and slowly I look over to the mirror to see my reflection... but waving back at me?
"Is that you?"
I heard giggles in the room.
Then more giggles followed on. The giggles stopped and Toms monsters expression turns from happy to worried.
"I have no clue what's happening to me..."
I nod. I really want to know.
"Thanks... uhh what should I call you?"
Toms reflection puts its finger to its chin and thinks a bit. Then he claps when he knows.
"Mind telling me-"
There was a knock at the door that cut off their conversation. Toms monster reflection disappears.
"It's open!" I yell to the person behind the door.
Tord walks into the room. He's rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.
"So.. how are you feeling?"
I sat up on my bed facing Tord.
"Better now... I know you injected a serum in me."
"Uhh how?"
"I uhh.... have a voice in my head." I point to my head with on of my claw fingers.
"Oh okay... well if you don't mind.... could my scientists run some tests on your current form?"
I thought about this for a moment.
"What sort of testing?" I questioned.

"Well like speed, height, weight. Ya those types of tests."
I just nodded. Tord signalled me to follow him. I got up from my bed and followed him.
I stood in the lab room waiting for Tord to come back from the counter. I just want this to be over and done with! I cross my arms over my chest and start tapping my left foot on the ground.
Hurry up Tord!
Ugh fine...
Wait... Your back! Can you now tell me the name you came up with?
.
Why?
Oh okay.... what!
"Tom!" Tord clapped his hands in front of Tom face, trying to get his attention. Tom got out of his thoughts and back to reality.
"Huh? Oh yes Tord?"
"Finally... Okay so Amber here is going to run some tests on you. I'll be back later. Cya Thomas." Tord waves goodbye then leaves the room.
"Okay Thomas follow me. We will start with the simple weight and hight first."
I nod and follow after her.
My limbs feel so sore!! Uggghhh!!! I open my door, walk in and kick the door shut. I flop onto my bed. My monster me then appears in the mirror.
"I'm not in the mood right now...." I mumble.
Okay Tomi, Night.
Tomi then disappears from the mirror. I close my eyelids letting myself sink into the deep darkness, of the so called sleep.
I woke up in Toms body, having full control. The only reason being is that Tom is asleep in the 'void'. That's what I like to call it anyway.
I looked over to the mirror. The monster features were gone. I decided to go through the day for Tom. He had a rough night last night, After all the 'testing'. I slide off the bed. Changing into some fresh and clean clothing. I walk into the halls and headed for the Red leaders office.
I knocked on the door. Then waited for a response. "Come in!" I heard Red Leader yell from inside. I slowly open the door and close it behind me. Red leader looked up from his paperwork to look at me... well Tom. "Ah... hello Thomas." He chirped. I giggled seeing his confused expression. "What do you mean?" He had asked. I used Toms hand and pointed to the head of his body. I chirped, then giggled some more. Red Leader just sat there with his mouth open, in shock. He shook his head and replied. "Oh so how long would this be..?" I put a finger to my chin. I held Toms two hands together. Red leader nodded in agreement. "Well then, I was going to make Thomas my second in command and assistant... but seeing he isn't available at the moment. Your doing it, for now." I nodded. To be honest... I don't know why Tom doesn't make him our mate. He seems perfect! I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard his voice again. "Here you'll need this. It's my schedule and a notepad." He threw over to me a futuristic tablet. I started to figure out how to use it. Once done, I opened up Red leaders schedule. Red leader had asked what his schedule is for today. I continued his schedule for the day. He nodded. "Very well then, your dismissed." I nodded and left Red Leaders office.

As I saw Tomi in Thomas body leave. I soon got up too and headed for the gun shooting practise area.
As I walked past the glass windows, showing how bad the rookies are. None of them have even touched a gun yet! I growled, annoyed. Every time, the rookies don't listen to their commanders. I open the door. Everyone in the room suddenly saw me walk in and shut up. I gave a glare of disappointment to the rookies. "Why haven't anyone one of you pathetic men touched a gun?" I asked sternly. One of the commanders walked up to me and saluted, I, of course saluted back. "Well Red Leader, sir! None of these rookies are listening to us." I put my pointer finger and thumb at the top of my nose, annoyed. "Well they will listen to me.." I walked past the commander and in front of the rookies. "So you think you can just slack off? Well you can't! If you want to live, do as your told. I wont hesitate to spill your guts on this very ground. Clear?" I sternly said-yelled. "Yes Red Leader sir!" They all said in unison. "Good, now lets begin. Shall we?"
All the rookies had a hand gun and were practicing shooting. Tomi had walked in. I sighed. I really didn't feel like talking to someone who just wanted there country to be safe from my conquer list. "Okay, just a few more minutes." I look over to see one rookie struggling to hold a gun. I walked over to them. They haven't noticed I was there, til I kneeled down to be at their level. "Hey.. don't worry I wore bite... yet.." she jumped at the sound of my voice.
I held her hand with her gun. "You were holding it wrong. From now on you hold it like this. And see this bit here? Look there. Don't look where you think the target is." She nodded and did as what I said. She hit the target. Her scared expression because a happy one. "Thank you sir!" She thanked and continued with her practise. I walked over to Tomi. "Let's get this meeting over and done with." I said as I walked past and out, heading towards my office.

The Hopeful Project
A pair of twins stumble their way into the world of blood magic, lizard people, and cultivation powered mecha-armor. And by stumble, I mean one of them falls on their face while the other laughs. [Writathon Participant] People read this far? What are you doing down here? Escape! The chapter buttons are over there, stop reading this. No? Fine. This book is an excuse to put a world I spent around 3-4 months of my life building over the pandemic into writing. I was planning on doing the writathon last year, but somehow managed to confuse October and November. Dont laugh, I'm already ashamed enough. This book is about a pair of twins, doing twin things: calling each other names, going to school, learning how to use their blood to become unstoppable, juggernaut, killing machines... You know, twin stuff. It's like if someone stuffed a school arc inside of a tournament arc inside of a war arc. A good time, basically. I hope you enjoy it.

The BLOODLANDS
The story follows a young lord in which a middle-aged man reincarnated into the body and gets a second chance at using the knowledge he learns from reading in his past life. No longer bound to the world of his library and university but in a world in which if he failed not only his death but the death of others are in his hands. This concept of the book came about from having two mild heart attacks and the regrets of not being more active in my younger life. Note: The cover of the book is from a painting of Richard the Lionheart at the Battle of Arsuf (1191) during the Third Crusade where he defeated Saladin. Painting by Gustave Doré (19th century).
