"Tom! Are you okay? What happened??" Edd yelled out to Tom as he slammed the door open, Matt behind him. "I'm fine guys... just fell from the sudden shock.." Tom used his hands to feel around, so he could get back up on the bed. Edd walked over and helped Tom up. "Thanks..." Tom mumbled. "No problem. Now what happened?" Edd places his best friend, Tom, onto the bed.
Tom had explained to his two best friend. "Oh wow..." Matt covered his hand over his mouth. "Yeah.. wow... what a sick bitch!" You could tell Edd is getting angry from the tone in his voice. "Edd, don't worry... I'm fine. I'm just scared for Tomi..." "who's Tomi?" Matt asked. "Uhh... nevermind..."
The three boys kept talking like usual friend do. Now with Tord. He wasn't doing so well. He blamed himself for what happened to Tom.
"Son, I think it's best to just go talk-" Patyrk was cut off by Tord. "Don't tell me what to do! I can't even face Tom right now! It's my fault he got into this... no one else's..." Tord sat back in his office chair behind his dark oak desk. Patryk standing on the other side, both hands on the desk trying t convince his son to at least sleep or see Tom. But nonetheless Tord disagreed to it. "Son please listen to me! Don't beat yourself up over this! You need to get some sleep or at least talk with-" "Shut up. Shut up. Shut up! I don't want to talk with him! He will just ignore me!! It's my fault he's in this condition anyways... just leave..." "but-" "no buts! Just go!" Tord stood up. Patryk just removed his hands and nodded, leaving the room. Tord sat back down. "It's all my fault.." he mumbled to himself before continuing doing paperwork.
Edd would visit every day to see Tom, Matt would sometimes accompany him, but when he didn't. Edd had said he was busy. When Edd had to get back to work, leaving Tom alone. It would make him a bit sad but at least he could spare some time. Its only been fourteen days since the incident. The nurse had given Tom a music playing device with earphones. He could still hear everything that went on around him, but couldn't see. He heard the door open to his room. He placed the device on the bed-side table and looked over to the door. "Hello Edd..?" He questioned. "Uhh... no.. sorry to disappoint you Tom." A female voice said. Tom nodded. "It's alright.. why are you here..?" "Well.. I'm here to check up on your eyes." Tom nodded and the lady did her thing.

"This may be worse then we thought..." she mumbled. Tom had no bandages on his eyes. The lady was looking at all of his healed scars and examining his eyes. Tom raised his left eyebrow. "What do you mean..?" The lady moved her face away from Toms and looked to the floor. "Well.. it's seems you've had an injury before this, stopping you from getting your sight back. Though that's just my theory..." Tom sat there thinking for a moment, putting his pointer finger to his lips. "Well... on one of the adventures me and my best friends went on... I had a laser to the eyes... twice..." she nodded. "I think this has an affect on your eye sight, I'll go check with the other medics." Tom nods and let's the nurse leave. Tom picked up the music playing device and listened quietly, still hearing sounds around him.
The nurse that visited Tom earlier walked through the infirmary to the medics office. She had walked through the door, closing it behind her and headed for the medics who were assigned with Tom. "Guys, Thomas condition is worse then we thought..." the female medic started to explain her theory and what Thomas had told her.
The two other medics gasp. "This means he can't see ever again??" One said, he had brown hair in the style of a bun, soft brown eyes and wearing the usual medic white coat uniform, along with boots. "He might be kicked out of the army! Or even killed!" Another said, he had blonde, shoulder length hair, almost covering his left eye. His bright green eyes showing a worried look. "Jamal! Jacob! Calm down... don't need to stress. There must be a way to get his sight back." The medic that had explained everything said once again. The one who presumed was Jamal said, "maybe further examination will help this..?" His soft brown eyes giving some hope. "Just maybe.. maybe Jamal..." the female medic said. "Alright we will examine him later tonight and-" "examine who and why?" Jacob got interrupted by the Red Leader himself. "Oh Red Leader sir!" A female with ocean blue eyes and her blonde hair tied up had said. The other two boys followed by saluting too. "No need to salute me while at the infirmary. Now who were you talking about?" The three medics looked at each other then back at their leader. "Uhh well sir... Thomas needs further examination... since there is a slight-" Jacob made a pinch with his pointer finger and thumb leaving a tiny space in between. "-chance he won't be able to ever see again.." Red Leader or also known as Tord was shocked. He didn't want to have a sightless errand boy or friend. He sighed. "Do what needs to be done... make sure he lives and maybe have his sight back..?" The three nodded in agreement with their leader and continued discussing about what their about to do, while Tord left, not even bothering to check up on Thomas.

"Oh hey Tord! Whacha doin here..?" Edd had came to visit Tom, but had came across Tord. "Well I was just checking on the medics here... why else..?" Tord looked at his friend and soldier. "Why don't you see Tom..?" Tord didn't want to answer that and just looked away. "Tord. Are you okay?" Tord sighed, shaking his head no. "Tord are you blaming yourself for this? Wait look at me." Edd had a stern tone at the last part. Tord shook his head no again. "Tord! Now." Edd bluntly said in a commanding tone. "Fine..." Tord made eye contact with Edd. Edd got up into Tords face and examine it. "So you've been getting no sleep, eh? And your grieving over what had happened to Tom. Great!" Edd crosses his arms and looks up at Tord in a pissed off mother way look. "Tord. Go. To. Sleep. Now." Tord didn't want to get into an argument with Edd so he obliged. He walked out the infirmary to only continue with his paperwork.
There was a knock at the office door. "Come in!" Tord yelled from his office desk. Edd had walked in. His arms crossed and in mother mode. "Tord." Tord looked up from his paperwork, shocked filled his face. "Uhh.. oh hi Edd... heh... what are you doing here..?" Tord had a hint of nervousness in his voice. "Tord you need to sleep! Get Paul and Patryk to take care of the army while your resting! You really need it!!" Edd whined, but before Tord could say something back, Edd had put on 'the look' meaning 'please please please!! Or else I will cry none stop!' Sort of look. Tord sighed at his puppy dog eyes and stood up. "Fine, go get Paul and Patryk for me. I'll go get dressed. Edd nodded while smiling brightly at his friend. Soon after Edd had left he sat down and continued. Edd ran in and grabbed his arm. "I knew it! You workaholic!!" Edd yelled, trying to drag his friend. "Please just one more?? Please!!" Tord whined. "No because that'll just lead to loads of 'one mores' Tord!!" Tord sighed and let his friend drag him out the office.

Keepers of the Neeft
The Indigo Empire has conquered half the world’s nations, their people, and their gods. According to its citizens, old and new, the rest of the world will follow. In the capital of the Throne-home, the Imperial Academy produces the next generation of great leaders to drive that expansion. Cadryn Bence knows he will be one such leader, he’s overcome his common birth, mixed heritage, and every other obstacle to be the top of his class. He dreams of glory on the southern front against the Gravanik States. He will not be finding it. Instead, if the glory he expects. Far to the north, lies the unassumingly named North-Eastern Extreme Frontier Tower, a backwater post if ever there were one. Through the machinations of the Emperor’s state religion, and a cult within it, Cadryn will find himself on his way to this first assignment. On the frontier, Cadryn will discover that neither his campions, nor the Neeft itself, are what he expects. Follow Cadryn on his journey to discover many truths: about himself, about the Empire, and about the very world he call home. ****** Keepers of the Neeft is a (bit dark) fantasy story revolving around Cadryn and his journey of discovery. There’s a fairly wide cast of supporting characters (his fellow Keepers) all with their own reasons and motivations behind how they came to be at the Neeft. Current release plan is to have part 2 completed, then fully edit up till the end of part 2. I am in the process of editing the earlier content as I complete the updates/re-writes. Apologies for any rough content in the meantime. My primary objective with Keepers of the Neeft is to work on developing content flow and establishing a community of people who enjoy my writing style. I write SF/F and horror as my primary genres, Keepers is actually my 3rd novel length work, but my current project. Updates of new Content will currently be in the form of one larger post on Tuesdays.

Gaslgiht
There is a common line of questioning that falls upon students within their first moments at Kingsly. “Why?”. The student asks, “Why am I here?”. This is a futile line of questioning. There are those who remember, and those who do not. I’ll spare you the technical explanation — that’s what we have teachers for. The jist is as follows: those who remember are... how do I put this... more likely. They occupy more time. and the space that time has allowed them — the pertinent amount — is experienced no matter what. Allow me to offer you a bit of personal information: I am not one who remembers. There is no time relevant to me, no space that I occupy. I exist by carving myself here, and continue to exist in the same fashion. You would do well to follow suit. Why am I here? Because I force myself to be. Because the universe, the universes, for all its kicking and screaming, cannot escort me out.
