《Unknown Love ~{discontinued}~》Chapter : 14

After cleaning Tords lab, I walked back to my room. I didn't want to do it for the commie, I had to thank him somehow, didn't I? Yes, I did. I walk down the many hallways until I reached the hallway to which withhold my room.
742
Yep, still in here. A male walked by, he had purple spots on his skin. Two bumps sticking out of his head and his fingers seem to be sharper? What happened to him? Curiosity got the better of me and I tapped his shoulder. He turned his gaze to me, a frown plastered on his face.
"What happened to you..?" I couldn't help but ask.
"This is the hallway of failed or soon to be experiments. That's why there are numbers on the room doors. And rumor has it that you're the successor. Correct?" He looked up at me, I notice his purple tail wagging slightly.
"Umm, so I'm just an experiment? Wow... how can that commie get any crueler?" I mutter to myself.
"Are you talking about Red Leader?" He asked, tilting his head how a dog would. I nod. "How could you say that?! I'm sorry but he has done a lot to help this Army!" He shouted, a tint of hurt shown in his expression.
"How has he helped this place? I don't even think there is even a single bone in his body that is something else then cruel, rude, mean, asshole and so on." Tom huffed, crossing his arms.
"He created this place! He stays up late at night, helping out his soldiers! He... HE IS A GREAT LEADER!!! Why else would anyone volunteer for his experiments? We only do so to help him!" The male screamed at me.
Tord did all that?

"When a battle comes up, he would have no sleep for weeks! He would be way to busy with planning out EVERYTHING!!" He shouted once more. "Sorry sir, for my yelling..." He muttered.
"No, no, it's okay. I just... Well, we were assholes to each other when he once lived with us is all..." I say, scratching my neck. "I'm Thomas by the way, but I prefer Tom. And you are?" I hold out my hand for him to shake.
He gladly takes my hand, smiling. "I'm Joseph! I didn't know you knew the Red Leader personally."
I nod. "Yeah, So wanna hang in my room for a bit, Joseph?" I ask, smiling softly.
He nods. "That would be amazing!" I chuckle and head into my room, Joseph trailing behind me.
We talked about random things. But then he asked. "Where did you get those goggles? And why?"
I scratch my neck, nervously. "Well, I was kidnaped-" I was so rudely interrupted by Joseph.
"YOU'RE THE ONE WHO GOT KIDNAPPED?!" He screeched, almost deafening me. I nodded slowly before he continued. "OMG!! THE BASE WAS CRAZY WHEN YOU LEFT!! RED LEADER WAS DIRECTING ORDERS SO MUCH!! HE CARES ABOUT YOU!!!" Joseph shouted.
"Oh... I didn't mean to cause that chaos... I deserved everything she said..." I whisper the last part. "Anyway, my goggles. After returning back here, The medics found I had eye cancer so I was permanently blind. Edd, Matt and Tord- I mean Red Leader helped to get my eyesight back, hence the goggles."I shrugged. "I also thanked him, and cleaned up his mess of a lab."
Joseph nodded. "Hey, so can you transform into your half form? Or do you not know how to?" Joseph asked, tilting his head again.

I shrugged. "Never done it on command. But I guess I could try?" Joseph smiled widely, nodding his head. "Alright..."
I close my eyes, focusing on turning into my half form.
Tom started to transform! It's working!! AHHHHH RED LEADER NEEDS TO KNOW!!!
After he was finished, two horns peeped through his hair. A tail laid on the bed behind us. From his elbows to his hand were purple claws, fluffy but scaley. His green digital eyes somehow turned purple? I'm not going to question it.
"It worked!" Tom chirped, raising his claws in the air. "" A more childish voice cheered.
"What was that?" I asked, tilting my head.
"" The same happy childish spoke once again. ""
"Where did Thomas go?" I had to ask. This is confusing.
"" He asked.
I nodded my head. "Sure thing, follow me." I wave my claw, signaling Tomi to follow.
I knock three times on Red Leaders office door. A very happy Tomi behind me. I can tell from his wagging tail.
"Come in!" Red Leaders voice rang from inside. I walk in, Tomi trailing behind.
"Hello Red Leader, Sir! Tomi, here, wanted to meet you." I chirped, letting Tomi stand in front of me.
"But, I already know Thomas..." He tilted his head.
"" Tomi chirps.
"How? This experiment project is not supposed to create a completely new personality..." Red Leader muttered.
"I'll be leaving now, Bye Tomi!" I wave, leaving the room.
"" I heard Tomi call before I left.
"" I chirp, my tail wagging.
"Interesting..." Red Leader mutters, walking over to me. "What are the abilities you have?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"" There was one of mind reading.... buuutttt... I dunno how to use it.
Tord nodded. "Guess we need some sort of training course for you then. I'm sorry but my names Tord, I prefer Red Leader." Tord snarled. Tord headed back over to his desk. "While I sort your training out. Can you give me back Thomas? Then he can sleep on the couch." He explains, jotting down notes.
I nod. "Sure thing, Tordy!" I chirp, resting on the couch. I heard him sigh before everything went to darkness.
I jolt up into a sitting position, looking at my surroundings. "Whaaaa??" I mutter.
"Don't worry, Thomas. Just sleep." A familiar voice calls out. I turn my gaze behind me. There sat Tord at his desk, writing down notes.
"Uhh... why can't I just go to my room..?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.
Tords sighs. "Because you're still in your half monster form and that you're getting a new room," Tord explains, not even looking up. I nod slowly, looking down at myslef.
He was right, I'm still in half monster form. Then why is Tomi not in control? This is confusing.
I curl up into the couch, my tail wrapping around me and my ears flopped over my eyes. The couch smells like Tord; smoke, cologne and.... strawberries? Well, it smells nice. But I would never admit that to Tord.
Before sleep consumed me, I swear I could have sworn I heard someone mutter 'cute' or is it my mind playing tricks?

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
