You were standing outside my house drenched in rain.

"Im sorry"

you said while crying

your tears getting mixed with the rain.

I opened the door wider, told you to come in

you sat on my bed shivering.

I placed a towel on your head and slowly started to wipe out the rain

we both were dumb silent

no one had the courage to say first.

but something had to be done

I said I was sorry

but I doubt I truly meant it
