This wasn't right.
This wasn't right and Nanami knew it.
"It's gonna be all right, son," Merle comments, laying low in the grass.
Lie. It was a lie and this was far from being all right.
Nanami holds onto his gun tighter, looking to the soldiers through his scope.
They were standing around talking- some looking stressed. They probably were wondering where their men were- the ones in the helicopter.
The ones that didn't make it- save for the single man that was still in Woodbury's doctor office.
Nanami felt nauseous at their lack of knowing what was coming. What they were about to do to them.
--
Once the growling slowed down, Ryan and Sakiko slowly made their way out of their hiding spot and through the cell block. The sound of yelling caused them to run outside where they saw Rick and Shane in one another's faces.
"You did this! You let that son of a bitch live and he killed her! Lori's blood is on your hands!" Shane screams, shoving Rick by his chest.
Glenn runs between them, trying to calm them down only for Shane to punch the man across the jaw. Rick growls, tackling Shane to the ground as the two finally let all their anger and grief out on each other.
Carol helps Glenn to stand up, pulling him away from the crowd as Ryan and Sakiko run over.
"What happened?" Ryan asks, looking between the fighting men to the baby in Maggie's arms.
"Lori went into labor.. She didn't make it," Sophia answers.
"Where's Daryl?" Sakiko asks, looking around with wide eyes.
"Guys, come on! Break it up!" T-Dog pleads with Rick and Shane.
Carl only closes his eyes, unable to look at anyone or anything after what he'd been through.
Shane finally punches Rick, the other man falling to his knees. Pulling his gun out, Shane points it wildly.
Glenn steps forward, despite the blood trickling from his mouth- guarding Maggie, the baby, Ryan, and Sakiko.
"Y'all don't get it!" Shane screams, "Those prisoners tried to kill us! Now, they have!"

He points his weapon in Sakiko's direction, Glenn tugging her closer.
"They killed Daryl!" Shane shouts.
Sakiko's heart drops to her stomach, the outside world suddenly spinning.
"They killed Lori!" Shane continues.
"You son of a bitch!" Rick yells, pulling himself up to wrap his arm around Shane's waist.
As he does so, Shane fires his gun, the bullet straying and hitting T-Dog in the chest. Carol screams in fear, falling to her knees beside the man.
The gun goes off again, hitting the wall beside Beth who shrinks behind her father.
Sakiko heard everything like it was in a tunnel- distant and echoed. She could still think back to her talks with Daryl and Ryan- that Shane and Rick's eventual head to head would leave everyone in pain.
Lori was dead. Shane just shot T-Dog and nearly Beth. They didn't care who got hurt, only if they could hurt each other.
Shane rolls on top of Rick and just when Glenn was about to step up again, someone else does.
A single shot from Carl's gun leaves Shane on the ground.
The air is tense and silent- the baby making a few sounds that no one could pay attention to.
Rick slowly pulls himself to sit up, looking to Carl who still had his gun pointed- a cold look in his eyes that no one had seen from him before.
No one moves for what feels like an eternity until a faint growling sound makes all weapons go up.
Sophia pulls her mother back just as T-Dog's walker self sits up- narrowly missing Carol.
"He.. T wasn't.." Glenn tries to figure out.
Rick takes a hard inhale through his nose, pulling his colt up and firing to T-Dog- giving him a proper end.
Again, silence.
"He pushed me," Rick shakes his head, "And I let him."
Eyes fall to Shane's body and Rick continues, "You saw it. Everyone saw it. He.. He was gonna take the baby and go. But, since Lori.."
"His blood isn't on my hands," Carl declares, "It's his own fault."

With that, Carl walks back into the cell block.
"Daryl.." Sakiko forces her voice out.
Rick looks to her and sighs, shaking his head, "He was right behind me.. Then.. He wasn't.."
"Kiko.." Glenn sighs.
Sakiko's knees shake and she tears away from the Rhees, running inside the cell block as well. The others could only bask in the heavy weight of secrets and rivalries coming to an end.
As Sakiko runs back outside- a bag around her shoulders, Glenn and Ryan go after her.
"Sakiko!" Ryan calls, running as fast as he could.
Sakiko ignores him and lets it push her farther. Daryl was gone. Her everything was gone. Shane had officially torn the group apart. There was nothing here for her. How foolish of her to believe that this prison was anything but that. Just a hellscape- before and after the world around it had fallen.
"Kiko don't!" Glenn pleads.
Sakiko slams the fence that they hadn't locked back up when the men were running to help the others. Picking up the padlock, she locks it up.
"Kiko, don't do this," Ryan pleads, gripping the steel fence between his fingers.
Sakiko could only look at him, hating how naïve she was for thinking anyone outside Daryl and Nanami could mean anything to her. If she cared for him, the best she could do was leave. That way, Ryan wouldn't become like Daryl and Nanami. Gone. And Sakiko couldn't handle losing something so close to her again.
With a tear falling, Sakiko rips herself from his gaze and runs down the path, to the fence they'd cut open to get into. Glenn had ran back up to get the keys from Rick as Ryan could only watch Sakiko in desperation.
Once Sakiko has the wire off the fence, Glenn is beginning the run back down. Once he's unlocked the chain, Sakiko was running into the woods.
--
"This was for the good of our people," Governor tells Nanami.
Nanami could only stare at the soldiers' bodies on the ground. The soldiers that they had killed. That Nanami had killed.
"Our people get to live because of their sacrifice," he continues.
'Sacrifice'.. As if Governor didn't wave a white flag as he approached the men and shot the soldiers when their guard was down.
Spotting one of the men getting away, Governor brings the gun he'd stolen off the lead man up- shooting him in the thigh. As the man's body falls, Nanami has to close his eyes to not throw up.
"That man died so that seventy people may live," Governor reminds Nanami, handing him a knife, "Go put a merciful end to that young man's days. And remember that he is and was a hero."
Seventy people.. Seventy five to be exact.. Ten lives for seventy five.. The math makes Nanami's head spin.
Locking eyes with the Governor, Nanami places his hand on the knife.
"And remember that because of your hard work.. You're a hero to those seventy people as well," Governor pats Nanami's shoulder with his free hand.
Nanami felt dizzy.
Ten lives for seventy.. A hero.. His hard work.. For people he cares about..
Taking the knife, Nanami feels as though the walk to the man was similar to a walk of shame.
Once he's reached the man, Nanami could feel tears of confusion and anger in his eyes.
The soldier's eyes were barely open, his breathing shaky as his eyes meet Nanami's. Nanami holds the knife tighter.
Because of this man's death- Michonne can have a proper meal for weeks. Merle can have a gun to keep himself safe.
Because of this man- Nanami helped provide for people. His people.
Kneeling beside him, Nanami takes a deep breath.
"I'll do anything to protect those I care for," Nanami whispers- a reminder of his own words to himself.
With that, Nanami plunges the knife into the man's head.
"Anything," Nanami repeats.

The New God’s Representative
I was given a one-a-trillion chance opportunity to reincarnate into a fantasy world by a god. The actual chances are probably even lower — I mean, how would you even calculate the chances of being in my frankly ridiculous situation? In any case, the deal we made seemed pretty good; at least hope so, seeing as I’ve forgotten most of it along with the memories of my past life. Now, I’m a baby bird monster in a world with magic. I can see my Status as if I were an RPG character. And running with the RPG theme, my main Quest in this world is to become its strongest entity or titular God. I have a couple thousand years to do it or else the laws of reality itself will erase my existence. But, hey. That’s exactly what I signed up for, right?

I was Reborn as the Villainess but I will become a Great Sage
Nova Allandis, formerly known as Suna Lee, remembers her previous life and realizes her current life is as the villainess in a fantasy novel she once read. However, as Suna, she was the laziest person with no motivation, possibly attributed to the fact that she didn't go into a major that was her strongest suit. Now that she has a high affinity towards magic and wishes to go into it, will she be able to change her lazy self for the better, or will she go back to being lazy like the villainess in the novel? Can she become a Great Sage and live life happily this time? Note: This is not a "revenge of the villainess" novel, but rather a "rise to fame" novel. A/N: This is just an experimental novel and criticisms are much appreciated, but I'm extremely defensive of my own work and characters. If you are here to put down a novel, please remember, first of all, you are not paying anything to read this, and second of all, authors are humans too.
