《A Normal Transfer Student [Bleach Fanfic]》They were a bunch of meanies [36]

I was hoping my silence gave them an answer. And thank god it did. They slowly realised I was actually serious. Their face slowly turned into curiosity. Hiyori had her eyebrows furrowed, "You actually went on a date with him."
"That's what I'm trying to say," my hands went to the hem of my skirt, gripping it tightly, "What's wrong with that...?" Each of them looked away from me, scratching the back of their head or crossing their arms. "Isn't he... like a big creep?" the black-haired woman said.
I shook my head, "I don't think so," I paused, giving myself time to think for a second, "I've met worse."
"What does he call you?" she asked.
"Uhm..." I looked down, my cheeks warming up, "He calls me angel and cutie."
"Now, isn't that creepy?"
I shrugged, "I think it's endearing..."
Everyone froze staring at me. I looked at them, fiddling nervously with my fingers. "You're actually in love with him...?" she asked. I nervously laughed, "I mean I'm not sure how to describe the feeling but in love sounds like a really strong word," I was using way too much hand gestures.
The way they looked at me made me feel exposed and ashamed. I squirmed uncomfortably under their gaze. I sighed, "I should just leave..." I weakly smiled and turned on my heels. I hugged myself as I walked away, rubbing my hands up my arm. Humiliated. I felt so humiliated I was about to cry.
I shook my head and went up the stairs. I let myself out of the warehouse and out of the barrier. I held my head down. My fingers gripped on the sleeves of my dress. I kicked the dirt under my feet, ruining the perfect black slip-on shoe with dust. I rubbed my eyes, trying to prevent it from watering.

Someone grabbed my arm and turned me around. Their hand travelled down to mine and laced with my fingers. My eyes met with a familiar pair of brown eyes. "If you're searching for the warehouse, it was right behind ya," Shinji grinned. My features softened upon seeing his dumb toothy grin.
"I know," I answered, "I was just leaving since you weren't there." It wasn't technically a lie. But I mainly left there because my taste in men was humiliated. Again. He gently pulled me closer to him causing my heart to speed up faster than me exercising. "Come on, I want you to meet them," he easily slipped into the barrier. With his hand connected to mine, I easily slipped in with him.
He went down the stairs. I was right behind him. "I'm back," he announced. He bought me in front of him as he held me by my shoulders. I stiffened a little. "Ned, meet The Visored," he gestured to the group. All of them looked over to me. "Shinji, who's that?" Silver hair asked. He looked angry, it made me wonder if he was truly angry or he was just like that.
"This cutie's name is Neddy," Shinji grinned, "She's my first love." I blinked. My cheeks heated up even more. I was dying to cover my face. Or even flee! With the attention I was receiving and the words he just said, I could've sworn it was a dream. A really long fever dream. In a second, Hiyori came flying, kicking him square in the face.
"You always say that, baldy!" She pointed at me, "You're only saying that because she looks cute!" I looked Shinji. He was on the floor, his nose bleeding. He prompted himself on his arm. His hand covering his injured nose. I kneeled down by his side. "Hey! You don't heal his nose, he deserved that!" She shouted at me.

I ignored the woman's demand. I gently pushed his hand down, "Y'know ya gonna get killed if ya ignore her," he muttered as I healed his nose. "My sister sounds exactly like her," I answered, "I've had my few shares of bruises," I smiled at him. I wiped his nose clean and helped him up. I dusted dirt away from his outfit.
I turned, seeing two yellow slippers flying my way. Thanks to the training I had, I managed to move out of her way and tapped her gently on the foot. She passed by me, her face in utter shock. I stopped her from having a rough landing. I gently set her down on the ground. She laid there on her back.
I looked around, scratching the back of my head, "I can manipulate gravity and time," I laughed nervously, "No big deal." I received a hit at the back of my head. Causing me to fall to the front. Right on my face. I sat on my knees, adjusting my glasses and rubbing my face with my sleeve.
Hiyori stood in front of me, "Tch, don't get ahead of yourself just because you dodged me," she crossed her arms and looked away. I got on my feet, "Sorry. I just wanted to test something," I said as I swept the dust off my dress. I took off my glasses to wipe the lens. I looked over to Hiyori, who was side-eyeing me. I smiled at her.
And that, in fact, enraged her more.
I got an unexpected blow on the face. I fell down roughly on my back. My glasses flew out of my hand. I felt liquid trickling down my nose. "Don't smile at me like I'm some idiot!" She shouted at me. I sat up, seeing red droplets landing on the yellow skirt of my dress. "Go ahead, heal yourself," she scoffed.
"Um..." I covered my nose, "I can't heal myself." I let out a short nervous laugh, "That's the flaw of my ability..." I got onto my feet. I breathed through my mouth as my nose was flooded with blood. Shinji handed me a tissue. I softly thanked him. I placed the tissue below my nose to stop blood dripping on my new dress.
I may have broken my leg but a broken nose hits different.

Modern Magic
A Modern Magician BookI looked up at the crooked holo sign while the perfectly bred woman read from a paper, a plastic smile glued to her face.'Welcome to The City,' she said in a fake voice. 'Once formerly known as New York, The City is a place filled with ancient and modern wonders. Remember, if you see any magicians please report to the nearest police station or Black Hand officer.'I smiled at the sign and then raised a single finger. No, not the middle one. A blue misty light spun from my finger and into the holo device. The message quickly changed from the fake woman to one of my own.'Welcome to The City,' the woman read, her hair now dyed a fuchsia. Her eyelids were a dark blue and her bottom lip and right eyebrow were pierced. 'A special message from Hecate, queen of magic.' The woman looked up at me, a smirk playing on her lips. 'Welcome to my city.'
