The Only One
Chapter 15
Last night was the night that Ryan and I told the world about us. Ever since then, I've gotten way more followers on twitter and I've gotten a lot of, 'Oh my god, you guys are so cute!''s, and only a few, 'Ugh, you so don't deserve MY Ryan!''s.
I'm surprised by that, I'd've thought that I'd get more of the hate than the love but I'm not upset!
"Hey, babe, are you up for driving to San Diego with us today?" Ryan asks me. I seriously love it when he calls me babe.
"Umm..." I say.
"Maggie's going." He adds.
"Alright, I'm in!" I yell.
"Ouch," He puts his hand up to his chest. "It hurts that you only said yes because I told you Maggie was coming."
"That's not the only reason!" I defend myself and give him a sweet smile.
"Nope, not cuttin' it." He says, with a shake of his head.
"Oh god." I saw, and roll my eyes. "Mr. Dramatic over here."
"Mhm." He says, putting his arm around me. I look up at him and smile again and say, "We all know I said yes so I could spend more time with you."
"Hm, I guess." He says.
"When are we leaving?" I ask.
"Um, 15 minutes...?"
"Seriously?! I have to go get ready then!" I say jumping up.
"And do what? You look gorgeous already!" He says, making my knees literally tremble. I walk back over to him and hug him. "Thank you, Ry."
He pulls apart from my hug, and smiles down at me, and gives me a sweet kiss. I swear it gets better everytime he does that.
I pull away breathlessly, and he says, "Fine, go get ready, if you must."
I giggle and run up to my room, throw on an ice blue beaded tank top and a pair of light denim cut off shorts and put my hair back in a loose bun.
The pink has unfortunately faded from my hair but tomorrow is the start of October, so I'm dying it again for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I grab my phone from the charger in my room and a sweatshirt and I walk back to Ryan who smiles at me.
"You ready?" He asks.
"Mhm." I answer as he takes my hand and we walk out the door to meet Maggie, Ian, Nash, and Jamie in the car, and um, Monica...? Whaaattt!
I look at Ryan but he's just as confused as I am. Maggie catches my eye, and mouths, 'I'm so sorry!'
I mean, really, it doesn't affect me one bit whether Monica is part of their life or not. It's just awkward sometimes.

Ryan and I squish into the back of the van and we set off.
"Hey guys!" Monica says with a fake cheerfulness in her voice.
"Hey! I haven't seen you in a while." I say, trying my hardest to be nice.
"I know, right!" She giggles. UGH! "So I heard about you and Ryan last night! Congrats! Just, you know, be careful." She advises.
"Sure..." I say.
"So, Monica, why exactly are you in my car right now?" Ryan asks in a frustrated tone.
"Oh, yeah, about that, I needed a ride to my friend Savanna's house, you all know Sav, right?" Sav? Really?! "Well, we were supposed to hang out today, but she had some boyfriend issues. Yeah, Kev broke her heart." She fake pouts, and acts like we know Kevin. Who the hell is Kevin?! "And she just needs some girl time, ya know?"
"I guess..." He says.
"What? I'm just being the nice friend, gosh."
"Yeah, the nice friend." Ry remarks.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She shrieks.
"Never you mind." He says briefly as Monica scoffs and rolls her eyes.
Well, this is awkward....
"Hey Maggie!" Monica says with unbelievably fake cheeriness, "So you wanna hang out this weekend? Do dinner something?"
"No, sorry, I can't. We're driving up to Seattle for a concert and to hang out with our friends Bruce and Emily." Maggie answers. HAH! Shut down!
"Oh, you know, it's okay." Monica says, faking a hurt expression as we pull up to "Sav's" house. "Bye guys! Thank you sooo much for the ride! It was great seeing you!"
"Ehhh, haha, yeah, you too." Everyone mutters.
When she's safely inside Savanna's house, and we pull away, Ryan yells, "WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU LET HER IN THIS CAR?!"
"She was with Maggie when I picked her up!" Ian said. Oh, blame it on the girlfriend!
"She came to my house crying!" Maggie says. "I couldn't just leave her!"
"Uh, yeah you could've!!" Ryan says.
"Psh, yeah, and that would've worked out well." Nash mutters.
"You know it was all just an act, right?" Jamie speaks up. "She just wanted a chance to get between RK and Han."
"Oh, I know." Ryan says. "She's always been like that. Always playing her silly little games."
"Mhm." Ian says.
"You know she can be a good friend sometimes." Maggie says and we all turn to her in shock.
"Yeah, to your face." Nash says sarcastically.
"I guess..." She replies.
"Enough talking about Monica!" Ian says. "We're here anyways."
We slowly pull into Cam's driveway as he has his arms crossed across his chest, his lips pursed, and is tapping his foot.

"You guys seem to be late by my watch." Cam snaps.
"I'm sorry, we had a fun run in with Monica." Ian explains.
Cam's eyes flicker between Ryan and I for a matter of a second, then back to Ian. "Gibbons?"
"The one and only!" Jamie says.
"Ugh, and how was that?"
"Just peachy." Ryan spits.
"Sucks. Good thing she doesn't have to take a two hour ride with us too!" Cam tries to lighten the mood.
"C'mon guys!" Chuck calls. "We're'ah gonna be late!"
We all shuffle into the bus and settle in. Ryan, Ian, Maggie, and I sit on the couch, and Nash and Jamie on the two chairs, and Cam at the table and Chuck drives.
Ryan and Jamie turn on a game of Fifa, and Jamie is obviously winning. Maggie and Ian are both looking at something on Ian's phone, and Maggie lets out a slight giggle, and Ian looks at her with those so loving and caring eyes. Oh my god, their cuteness kills me! I seriously need a picture of this!
Ryan makes a weird grunting sound as he attempts to make a goal, and Nash receives about the millionth tweet notification. Oh, how I remember those days!
"Guys, some fan just asked for a SocialCam, so I shall do a SocialCam!!" He exclaims and turns on the video.
"Well, guys, I was just asked for a SocialCam, so you all are gettin' a SocialCam! Here we are on the bus on the way to San Diego and Jamie and Ryan have an intense Fifa match going on!" He tells the 'crowd' as Ry makes another weird grunting sound.
"So how are things going, guys?"
"No, no no! Not yet!!!" Ryan yells.
"How's the game?" Nash asks, ignoring Ryan plea.
Ryan seems to stretch and move the remote, as if that's going to help him advance anything in the game. "It could be going better!" He grunts, as Jamie laughs because he's beating his brother by so much.
"You've got Hanna over there laughing at Ryan's patheticness," Nash smirks, "And apparently admiring Maggie and Ian's cuteness!" He finishes, as Ian, Maggie, and I look up simultaneously with confused looks.
"And there you have Ian with his arm around my dear, Maggie, just chillin' enjoyin' the ride!" Nash laughs, as I roll my eyes.
"Nash! I scored! The next time I got the ball, and you didn't, you didn't keep it on there!" Jamie yells. "C'mon, watch the goal, it's great."
"Nah, we don't wanna watch the goal." Nash says with a cute smile and goes back to his video.
"And then you've got Cam, just, just being Cam, playing with the Cambourine, at the table." Cam flashes a grin and blushes just a bit. "And lastly, you've got Chuck driving the bus! Chuck give us a wave!" Nash yells, as Chuck waves to the camera.
"Well, we've got a gig tonight in San Diego and I hope to see y'all there!" Nash says, and turns off the camera. Weird ending there, but okaayy.
"ERMAGERD!" We all hear Cameron yell.
"What?!" I ask.
"WE DIDN"T STOCK UP ON PIE AGAIN!!!!" He literally shrieks.
"Omg Cam! That was about pie??" Maggie asks.
"Uh, yeah!" He says as if it's totally obvious.
"Dear god..." I mutter.
"YOU KNOW WHAT! IM DONE WITH THIS GAME!" Ryan yells.
"Sore loser much?" Jamie jokes.
"No. I just don't wanna play anymore."
"Sureee, Ryan, sureee." He shakes his head and the bickering goes on, as Ian snaps picture after picture of the Follebros.
He even gets an adorable one of Ryan and I a little later. Ry and I are sitting on the couch and he has his arm around me and my hand is on his chest and he's looking down at me and I'm looking up at him, and we're both smiling.
"Oh em gee, Ian! Send this to me!" I squeal. I never thought I'd be uttering those words!
Ian laughs a little, and hits the send button. I can so live this life!

HEY HEY! :D So whats upppp!
OMG, I downloaded a ton of unreleased HCR songs, and some of Nash's songs, and Ian's songs, and omg they're so amazing! (again, this was written like forever ago! :O So I've already got those songs down! ;) BUT - who LOVES the songs Girl Like You and Higher (All I Need Tonight)? :D I think I'm inlove with them :P)
AND! I finally learned how to knit today!! :D I feel like I'm turning into an old lady! ;P LOL.
So, you know how I was describing that SocialCam? Well to any of you that always watch their SocialCams, that was basically all a real SC. Mostly. I added a few things here and there, and changed some words. BUT! At the beginning, Nash DOES say something about a fan asking for a new SC, and you know who that fan was? ME!! :D
Anwayyy, I hope you like the chapter!
I'll update soon!
OMG! Also, I just watched that vid again where Ryan's eatin' the poptarts, and dear god, he's sooo cute!!!! I can't handle it!! I was like screaming through the whole video!! I can't handle him!!

Horizon
Emiluna is about to turn 16 and gain access to her first two classes. Living in a small village in the middle of nowhere, she always wanted to become a Hunter. Having learned a bit under her parents, a miller and a seamstress, she was sure she could never pick a class that meant staying inside all day. But being a Hunter is more than just a class. It means providing meat for the village, culling small pests near the cultivated fields and most importantly guarding the village from predators and monsters. But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
