《Taken》Chapter 13

"Storm!" I yelled when I saw him in a stable. I ran past Adam without a word and hugged his head, rubbing his snout also. "I've missed you boy. Did you miss me?"
He gave a nay in response and nuzzled against my face. I just laughed and held onto her.
Behind me, I heard a soft laugh and I turned to see where it came from only to see Adam trying to hold back a laugh. I narrowed my eyes at him. "What's so funny?"
He shook his head. "Nothing's funny. You just look so cute doing that."
I scowled but blushed at the compliment and turned away so he wouldn't see how embarrassed I was to hear that, even though there was nothing wrong with loving my horse so much that I want to hug him as soon as I see him for being worried about him.
I petted Storm for a little bit more before asking Adam. "Can I ride him? Do you have a place that I can ride him?"
"Well yeah, we have trail to ride the horses. But I would prefer you not riding any for a while. You just fell off of him and hurt your head, I don't want you to fall and hurt yourself again."
At the mentioning of my falling and the wound that I had received, I reached up and touched my forehead lightly, feeling the bandaged that had been placed upon there to help my healing and stop the blood flow. It didn't hurt so much but at points I would feel woozy.
I looked up at Adam when I touched the bandaged and saw something flash in his eyes but it was gone so quick, it must have been my imagination.
"Alright, well, I won't ride Storm today if that would make you feel better. But I will be when we go back. Besides, you have Rider to return also and you need to get your car. How do you get a car up here anyways?" I didn't see a road anywhere for a car to use.

"Oh, well, you haven't been on the other side of the house to see the garage and the road to get down to the main road and then use that before going onto your road. It's not to hard really, as long as you can ride it and expect a couple turns here and there.
I nodded slowly, "okay, that makes sense. Nice to know." I turned to Storm once again and stroked her a few more times on the muzzle before turning my attention to Adam once again. "So, what are we going to do while I'm stuck here until I can go home?"
Again, something flashed but it was gone the next second it must've been my imagination. "Well, we can really do just about anything really. What do you want to do?"
I thought for a moment, trying to think of something. "I'm not to really sure. Mainly because I don't know what there is to do out here. But I trust you to choose something for us to do."
A grinned appeared on a face, a mischievous one. "Great, because I have something in mind that we can do."
"What is it?" I asked warily.
"You'll see." He grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the stables.

Argh, sorry for the long wait! I've been busy with the holidays and semester test next week and not really having the urge to write. I've been waiting to read more. It was hard for me to think of something to put this chapter together and to get to writing because i wasn't in the mood, but I hope this makes it up a little, even though it's short. Also, it's a birthday present from me to you guys since it's my birthday tomorrow.

Falling for a Star (Complete)
I had never paid much attention to celebrity gossip or what was going on in Hollywood because that was so far from the lifestyle I lived as a poor college student, working as a barista to save up for my own house after graduation. But then, without my knowledge, my Dad submitted my name into a talk show sweepstakes to win a week with Hollywood superstar Dylan Chase, to see what it's like to live like a celebrity for a week. My Dad thought it would be the perfect chance for me to get out of Iowa, see the world and have an adventure for once. I was dreading leaving home, flying for the first time and going by myself all the way to L.A. Plus the idea of spending a week with an arrogant, rich, snobby actor that was probably the worst kind of womanizer didn't sound like my idea of fun. What I found when I got there and met Dylan was the total opposite; a man that was humble, hard working, easy to talk to, and down to earth. Spending a week in Paradise in the guest house of Dylan Chase's Malibu mansion right on the beach, attending a movie premiere on his arm, shopping on Rodeo Drive and eating at five star restaurants was like a dream come true, but sleeping in his bed and falling for a guy from a completely different world than me was never part of the plan because we could never end up together.
