"Me, or money?" She asked as she took a sip of her beer. I paused for a minute, which caused her to tilt her head at me sadly.
"Hmm...money?" I answered, smirking at her. She looked kinda sad. She nodded her head and reached for her wallet.
"Wait. You're being serious?" I asked putting my drink down. I thought she was just messing around.
"Well duh-" she said handing me some money. I look down at the money and back up at her. "You're serious? Natasha I was kidding-" "theres your money-" she interrupted, crossing her arms.
I look down and back up at her again. I would pick her any day. But you know, just wanted to mess with her.
Who wouldn't pick her. I mean, have you seen the woman. The way her braided red hair sits over her shoulders. Those green eyes that are so damn hard to read, yet so mesmarising. The way she looks so hot and tough with her leather jacket, but is actually...a hot softie.
She looked genuinely upset that I picked money over her. "Fine. Its a win for me I guess..." i sighed, putting the money in my own wallet and smirking at her.
I bet she didnt expect me to acctually take it, and I knew she was sad that I didn't pick her. "What are you gonna spend all that money on?" She asked before taking another sip of her beer.
"Hmmm. Drugs!" I joked, smiling at her. She raised her brow and gave me a warning look. "Y/n y/l/n, if i find out that you've been doing dr-" "IM KIDDING!" I laughed at how protective she got.
"Well, it seems that I finally have enough to take you on a date?" I said smirking at her. I saw her face instantly light up. Ughshhshs she's so cute.
"What makes you think I would wanna go on a date with you?" She said trying to hide her smile. She looked down and played wirh her rings as she spoke.
"Because you're blushing like crazy and you're acting all...nervous." I noted, which caused her to look up at me and smile.
"I'm not blushing." She tried to sound stern, but her blushing and trying her hardest not to smile made her sound soft.
"Sure you arent Romanoff. Its okay to smile you know, I make myself pretty happy too-" i said smugly.

She let out a giggle and continued to play with her rings. "So...a date?" She asked nervously.
"Yeah. What kind of food do you like?" I asked trying to think of where to take her.
She looked up to me and thought for a second. "Sandwiches." She answered.
"Sandwiches?" I question with confusion. "I like sandwiches too but ya know, usually when someone asks you to go on a date with them you dont really take them out to eat sandwiches-" i added with a chuckle.
"I like other things too-" she said trying to think. "I guess Ill just suprise you then." I said before taking a sip of my drink.
"Peanut butter!" She said which sounded kinda random. "What?" I asked not knowing why the hell she randomly shouted peanut butter.
"I like it on my sandwiches." She said happily. "Ill keep that in mind." I answered smiling at her. I have never in my life seen someone so happy talking about peanut butter.
"Tomorrow night then?" I asked excitedly. "Wow that was quick. Sure." She said chuffed.
~*~*~*~*~*~
It was the next day and I was getting ready for our date. I didnt really know what to wear since it wasnt like we were going anywhere too fancy.
I was sitting in the lounge waiting for Nat. I decided on a casual dress. I didn't really do anything to my hair and to be honest, I looked like I usually did.
Nat walked in and she looked good as always. I was relieved that she also looked quite casual, also in a dress. Her hair was in slight waves from the braids she had in yesterday.
"You look nice." I said standing up form the couch. "So do you." She admitted, looking me up and down.
"So. Where are you taking me?" She asked as we made our way to the spare lounge that was never really used. "Not far."
In the lounge, I had set up a cute little spot for us. I brought in a table and two chairs. I had put up fairy lights around the room, and there were candles all around the room.
Not to mention the table i had set up was right by the window, so you could see all of the bright buildings light up in the darkness. I had some music playing on my record player, everything was perfect. Proud moment.

"Wow-" squealed, walking in and taking it all in. "Y/n. This is fucking beatiful." She said looking back at me and smiling. I never wanted this moment to end.
She was still stood there for a minute, just smiling at what I had done. She turned towards me again and hugged me tightly which gave me butterflies.
"I'm glad you like it-" I said holding her hand and taking her to the table. She sits down and looks outside the window at the view. She's so fucking perfect I can't.
"Wine?" I asked her as I opened a bottle of wine. She held her glass up for me and smirked.
"I didn't think of you as the romantic type-" she admitted, making intense eye contact with me. "Well. Here we are." I said happily.
"So. What's on the menu?" She asked raising a brow. "Guess." I say, taking a sip of my wine.
"Oh please don't tell me it's fish-" she blurted out with concern. I laugh at her. "Fish? No, it's something you like." I giggled, getting up and grabbing the two plates from the counter.
I saw her face light up as soon as I placed the plates on the table.
"Sandwiches?" She asked happily. "Yep-" She was seriously so happy over sandwiches.
"Peanut butter?" She asked picking one up. She took a bite and closed her eyes. "God. This is so good." She said as if it was a fancy dish.
"You really love them huh?" I chuckled. She hummed and kept on going. We ate our sandwiches in a comfortable silence. The moment was amazing.
She took a sip of her wine and huffed. "Im stuffed-" "me too-" i said not being able to finnish the last of my sandwich.
"Hey dont waste that-" she pointed at the sandwich. "Im too full." I groaned, looking down at it sadly. She snached the sandwich off of my plate and ate it. "I thought you said you were-"
"Never." She said shaking her head. I laughed at her. The girl loves her sandwiches.
"I choose you." I said once she had finnished everything. "What?" She asked with confusion.
I put the money she gave me yesterday on the table and smiled at her. She looked at the money and back up at me.
"Oh-" she blushed. She was doing that thing again where she would try her hardest not to smile.
"You only gave me half back?" She asked furrowing her brows at me. "Yeah well i got us wine and there wasnt any peanutbutter in the pantry which is strange considering how much you love it so i had to buy them." I explained
"Oh yeah. I keep my peanutbutter in my room cause Peter kept sticking his fingers in it." She said proudly. I chuckled at her.
"Oh my god I love this song!" She exclaimed and stood up. She pulled me from my chair and danced around like an idiot.
(Everywhere)
She started singing softly but totally off key. Fuck i love this woman. It felt like she was singing it to me.
She started singing and dancing to the chorus on the table like there was not tomorrow. She held onto my hand and pulled me up with her.
The both of us sang the whole song lile crazy idiots. But it felt so damn good. It was sad to think that this moment had to end.
She said the final line and pulled me in for a kiss. It felt like time stopped. It was perfect. It was like the kiss was made for this moment.
She pulled away and stared at me for a couple of seconds, her face still inches away form mine. "What?" I ask her.
She doesnt say anything and pulls me in for a hug as the next song plays.
"" (Landslide)
The both of us didnt sing this time. We just stayed close together. Her head resting on my shoulder. My arms around her waist
""
We swayed around to the music slowly. The sound of fleetwood mac whispering behind us.All i knew was, I was never ever going to forget this moment...

Gateway
An archaeologist by the name of Søren Quinn wakes up elsewhere after boarding a plane for Iceland. Now he has to come to terms with a significant loss of recent memory and his apparent death and rebirth, provided he can survive the rigors of the Tutorial on Gateway Station and whatever waits for him after the Tutorial. Updates. When I can... sorry. Author's Note. Gateway is a portal/isekai style GameLit novel, but it has two main lead characters and will eventually have a small cast of minor lead characters to support them. There will be small elements of base building / kingdom management added as well over time, but they will not be the focus. Gateway really is a slow burn that takes some time to get going unfortunately, but I hope you find it's worth the wait. Thank you! p.s. Book One is finally done (only needed one more chapter unfortunately...) but I'm off hiatus now and will be starting on Book Two right away!

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
