Y/N sat there in the passenger seat next to her adopted father as he hummed contently while silently singing the song on the radio, his finger tapped on the steering wheel "You're gonna like it out where, it's quiet... secluded.. I even have a few teenagers I know that would be happy to welcome you."

"You didn't tell them, did you?"

He sighed "Y/N, that is your decision to tell them.."

She frowned as she looked out the window to see the Nevada terrain. Perhaps this is what she needed.

The mountains grew and the tumble weeds were a nice touch to give the place a somewhat gloomy and yet peaceful mood.

He pulled up to the school as she climbed out and was greeted by a Japanese girl

"You must be y/n! What's your favorite anime? What's your favorite color? Do you like monster trucks??"

Y/N stared at her blankly

I really hope she loves the monster truck ralley!

She looked at her father as he smiled and gestured toward her

"Sure.. I guess they're cool.."

Her eyes lit up as she shrieked and grabbed on y/n's arm as she looked at her somewhat alarmed at her intensions

"WE'RE GONNA HAVE SO MUCH FUN TOGETHER!" She practically screamed in her ear as y/n cringed and mentally cried hoping and praying to God the other 2 boys weren't like her

"Miko!" The black haired boy came up and pulled her off as y/N gripped her arm and leaned away from the girl "I'm so sorry about Miko..I'm Jack. Jack Darby." His hand extended as she reached out and took it

"Y/n.. y/n fowler." She said shaking his hand before letting go

Miko proceeded to shriek "I still can't believe he has a daughter!"

"Adopted daughter.." y/n looked at her

"Yeah yeah, whatever." She waved it away

"And that's Rafael, we like to call him Raf though.." Jack gestured to the smaller boy with glasses as he walked over and shyly smiled "Raf Esquivel." He said pushing up his glasses

So we got the shy nerd, the crazy punk rock japanese girl and the coolheaded average guy.. nice. Y/N looked at them as Fowler looked at his watch with alarm

"Oh dear, I gotta get going before the general chews my shorts again, now you guys take really good care of her, ok??" He said as he walked over to the car

"Can do." Jack smiled

Fowler drove off after wishing them a good day at school.

They took her to the office to get her schedule and helped her with classes, she had chemistry with Raf which was a huge plus, she got Jack in english and even cooking and she got music with Miko, god help her.. but she was all alone in her history class as she sat at the back far away from everyone else and lucky for her, they just so happened to take a test that day and that caught her up on most of the stuff, she sat in 5th period as she stared at the red head infront of her and frowned, he was really irritating, all his thoughts were of him and his girlfriend, it was disgusting.

The bell rung as she walked out the door and found the 3 teens outside

"Hey, y/n!" Jack called as his arm waved

She walked over

"Hey, Fowler said he wouldn't be able to pick you up so he told us we would have to give you rides, we can hangout after school."

She looked at him and figured he was just generally friendly and sighed "uh, sure.. sounds cool.."

He smiled "Nice!"

"And I could help you with your chemistry." Raf said with a shy smile

I'm so excited! I get to teach y/n!

Y/N seemed surprised a moment before reaching down and placing her hand on his floofy hair "thank you, Rafael."

He grinned but looked away

"Oh, there's Bee!" He said looking toward the black and yellow vehicle

"Bee?"

"Yeah, my ride."

"Oh.."

"I'll meet you guys soon I have to tell my parents I'm coming over then I'll head over, ok?" He said as he walked over before opening the door

Jack nodded as Miko yawned

"NERDS!" She shouted was she played with her hair and rolled her eyes "I'm gonna see some action at the ralley, later nerds!" She said as she ran off to the green truck and jumped in the passenger seat

"Is she always so.." y/n started

"Annoying? Yeah, but that's Miko.." Jack sighed as he walked over to a parked motorcycle and pulled a helmet over his head before handing her one as she pulled it over her head watching him climb onto it and starting the engine over as he looked over "You ok?"

"Yeah I've just..."

"Never been on a motorcycle?" He chuckled "don't worry, you'll be safe just hold onto me."

Y/N sighed before throwing her leg over the motorcycle and wrapping her arms around his waist as he pulled off before taking off down the road

Man, I hope Arcee doesn't mind too much..

"Hey, Jack.." she said as they stopped at the traffic light

"Yeah?"

"This is your bike right?"

"Of course, pretty neat huh?"

"Yeah.." then who is arcee- oh jeez..boys and their vehicles, it's probably the name he gave it.. of course. She rolled her eyes as they pulled up into a driveway and he turned off the engine. She climbed off and pulled the helmet off setting it down in the garageas he rolled it into the garage after opening it and kicked down the kick stand and let it rest there, he pulled off his helmet "come on, we'll wait for Raf inside." He gestured toward the door as he set the helmet down as she walked over and walked in while he closed the garage.

They sat there awkwardly for about 10 minutes, well she did, he kept himself busy with chores but y/n just sat on the couch looking around the room. She looked out the window when she heard an engine purr and seen Raf's ride pull into the driveway

Raf came up to the door and knocked

"Hey, if that's Raf can you let him in??" Jack called

She got up and opened the door to see the tween as he smiled and walked in and set his bookbag down on the floor next to the couch as he pulled out a chemistry book

"I have until 8, it should be plenty of time to get through a couple chapters." He smiled a little as he flipped it open

She mentally groaned as she sat next to him

"So in this chapter.."

She sat there and stared at him as he explained everything, by time 8 rolled around y/n's head was spinning with information as she groaned

"Aw guess we're out of time.. we can continue tomorrow!" He said with enthusiasm

"Mmhm.." she hummed with somewhat of hesitation

She pulled out her phone and dialed Fowler and asked him to pick her up as she sat there listening to the clattering of pots and pans, Jack was preparing dinner. She looked outside to see the headlights pull in the driveway "Hey, my dad's here." She walked into the kitchen as he looked up

"Oh! Well I'll see you tomorrow then at school, huh?" He smiled as she nodded and left when she got in the car she looked at Fowler with a frown

"Oh jeez.. what this time?"

"Thanks for leaving me with a nerd, a freak and an awkward neutral."

He sighed "they're good kids.. I promise you'll learn to like them.. maybe not Miko but you'll get along with Raf and Jack."

She folded her arms "I don't understand why I have to be friends with those guys anyway.." she muttered "I'll only hurt them."

"You need friends your age y/n, and ones that are human not plush toys."

She growled but sat there until they got home.

Days went by as Raf and Jack helped her with her classes, Miko bugged and begged her to go to a monster truck ralley but honestly Miko just wasn't someone y/n wanted to be around alone she was too noisy, unpredictable sometimes, even with a mind reader ability she'll suddenly burst with an idea and it was terrifying.

But one thing she picked up on was people named Wheeljack and Bulkhead. Questions buzzed in her mind, Wheeljack seemed like a serious triggerhappy guy and Bulkhead was.. bulkhead was weird and loved to break stuff and annoy someone named Ratchet..

She thought as she looked at the odd plush toys miko had around her belt, did she namd her toys and even give them personalities?? Ugh these guys are weird.

Y/N rolled her eyes as she sat outside, Miko was in detention for the 3rd day in a row but yet her ride sat there outside.

Jack had to work and Raf had to study for his exams. She sat there and groaned, Fowler was always late and it was annoying. Maybe she should start riding her bike to school whenever everyone else had stuff to do..

Miko suddenly burst through the doors and grabbed y/n's arm

"MIKO!!"

"Don't talk just run!" She said pulling her along as they jumped into the truck and looked outside as a teacher came running out and looking around before scowling and going back inside

"Aw, Miko.."

"AHH!" Y/n's head jerked up and seen the driver, he was pudgy and had on green clothing.

"Whoa, it's ok." He soothed

"Miko!" Y/N hissed as she climbed out and sat there on the ground and mentally cried at her racing heart

"What's wrong?" Miko poked her head out of the vehicle and looked at her before climbing out

"You! You don't just come up and pull someone away without reason 'shut up and run' you need a darn good explanation to say that! You're so ridiculous sometimes! Don't ever grab me like that again!!" She snarled at the Japanese girl

Miko smiled a little nervously "easy, y/n.."

Ah, jeez I ticked her off big time I've never see her so upset. Agent Fowler is gonna be mad..

Y/N glared "get away from me!"

"But i-!"

"Zip it! I don't wanna hear it! You're Terrible!" She hissed coldly

Ouch dude.. why's she gotta be so harsh..?

"Harsh?? You think that's harsh?! Harsh is being dragged out to the middle of no where and being forced to be friends with people like you! So yeah, good bye, Miko!" She snarled before stomping off and walking home before getting picked up halfway home by her father

"Y/N, why were you walking?"

"I'm not friends with Miko anymore."

"What? What did you do?"

"She's crazy! Absolutely bonkers! Dropped on her head as a baby! completely insane."

"Oh no..." he looked away

"You know I hate surprised but this one?? Oh! This one takes the cake! She's absolutely horrifying, she'll have bursts of ideas don't say a word and then do something else, she grabbed me! Grabbed me, dad!" She ranted

His eyes somewhat widen as he looked away and sighed "that's just how Miko is, y/n.. you gotta learn to accept that."

"Well I'm not."

"If you want Jack and Raf you have to deal with Miko too.. they're the inseparable trio of friends and if you want to be apart of that-"

"I don't! I didn't ask for any of this but you decided for me that I needed friends, i could of met them on my own, steered clear of Miko and I wouldn't be in this mess now would i?" She grumbled

The next day at school Miko never spoke, she was as quiet as a mouse, Jack asked if she was ok but she said she was just fine but whenever y/n looked at her she looked away. Obviously she took into consideration what she said.

She walked outside after school to see Raf and Miko as she finally looked up

"Hey, y/n.." she drawled

Y/N simply looked at her

"So.. look im sorry about yesterday I just didn't want you to say anything to the teacher.."

"And that implies I care.. I dont. You do what you want Miko it won't bother me as long as you don't drag me into it, then.. and only then do we have a problem, understood?" Y/N frowned as she quickly nodded

"Of course!" She said before embracing her as y/n growled

"That includes touching me.."

"Ah, sorry!" She jerked back with an apologetic expression

"Hey, why did you say 'harsh'? Because I kinda thought of that.."

She folded her arms "I guess you can say I'm a mind reader..."

"Oooh! What am I thinking of now?? "

Bulkhead, bulk, bullllllkie

Y/N blinked "your weird plush toys?"

She looked down "huh? Oh! Nah, these guys don't have names!"

"She was speaking in a metaphor.." Raf said looking at her "It was just coincidence."

Y/N slightly nodded

"Aw!" Miko groaned "that would be totally rad if you could though.."

"They don't exist.." Raf said

Y/N looked at him and somewhat frowned at his assumption

"That's like saying aliens exist.. because they don't. Mind readers do."

Miko looked somewhat worried

Raf looked up "how would you know?" He wasn't rude about it but it did hold a hint of curiosity

"If aliens did exist wouldn't they have shown up by now?"

"Maybe they're in hiding, waiting to eat us all when the time is right!" Miko said nervously

Y/N frowned when she picked up on her nervousness

"They'd more likely enslave us, not eat us, I doubt we'd taste good.."

Raf's ride pulled up as he and y/n climbed in, she looked over at the young man as he sat there and didn't say anything. He pulled up to Raf's house and they went in to study for a few hours.

She looked at him as he stared into the distance with a concerned expression

Oh jeez... Miko acted totally guilty earlier when she mentioned aliens I hope she didn't notice.. I really don't want y/n to find out about the autobots, sure it'd be nice to have another human at base but she's just to.. nice. She doesn't deserve the decepticons chasing after her..

Y/N frowned a little but glanced away "Hey, Raf?"

"Y-yes??"

He somewhat flinched

"Its getting kinda late, I think I should go home.."

"Oh! Let us give you a ride." He smiled

Y/N nodded as they walked out to see his ride in the driveway

She climbed in the front seat after Raf hopped in back

Raf didn't even say anything as she stared out the window when they pulled off, the man was just as silent as usual, he didn't seem to be too focused on anything in particular.

"Hey, Raf?"

"Yeah?"

"About what I said earlier?"

"About the explosion? Don't worry about it I think you did alright, the labels got mixed up and-"

"No, no , no.. before that. At the school with miko."

"O-oh? The aliens?"

The drivers eyes casted over but proceeded to look away

"A little before then.."

"The mind reading thing? I bet it was just coincidence." He said

"But what if it wasn't? You seem really skeptical about mind reading.."

He sighed "yeah, it's just the science behind it.."

"But what if they do exist?"

He smiled softly "I think it would a be a neat power.."

She turned back and somewhat slumped in the seat "Raf.. what if.."

He cocked his head

She took a breath "RAF IM- AHHH!" The car swerved

"Bee! What is it??"

A weird whirr came from the radio as the driver disappeared

"OH DEAR GOD-" Y/N cried as the car continued to swerve

"Fasten your seat belt, y/n!"

"Where'd he go?!" She yelled

"Y/N, when this is over I promise I'll explain everything just hang on!" He pleaded

Tears welled her eyes "Raf I'm sorry! I kept a terrible secret from you guys and I just wanna tell you before I die!" She said as they went off road

"Y/N you're not gonna die, I swear!"

The radio proceeded to whirl and buzz

"Raf, I AM a mind reader! I always have been and I heard everything you guys said, you wanted to hide something from me but I don't care about that, you wanted to protect me and I just wanted to protected you from this horrible power I had, i dont mean to invade people like that but I just can't help it it's who I am!" She quickly explained as the car transformed and they free fell into the dirt

When she looked up she seen a black and yellow robot and 3 other purple robots, he pushed himself off and proceeded to scrap them

Y/N watched in horror "What the heck is that?!"

"That's Bumblebee.." Raf said looking at her "is that all true...?"

"Yes, I heard Miko always thinking about a bulkhead and wheeljack, even a Ratchet I just thought she named her plush toys she always kept on her!"

His eyes widen "they're not-"

"LOOK OUT!" Y/N pushed him down to avoid a random gun shot as they looked up, she grabbed him before pulling him up and started to run "MOVE IT, RAF!"

"I have short legs!" He shouted

"AHH!" A decepticon jumped down infront of them with his blaster aimed right at them and it whirred

"BEE!"

Suddenly it's head exploded and it fell to the side as another robot came running over, this one was blue

"Are you two alright?"

"Yeah, we're ok. Thanks, Arcee!" He said

"Arcee?" She blinked but her eyes widen as she fell back when she crouched down and scrambled up "Y-you're Jack's motorcycle!"

"And you're his new friend.." she smiled before it disappeared and she ran to help Bumblebee

The purple robots kept raining down and another bot made his appearance "whose ready to rumble??" He bellowed

"Bulkhead!" Raf smiled

"Bulkhead??" Y/N choked on her words as she stared at the bots fighting. After bulkhead made his appearance they stopped coming

They walked over as Raf ran over to Bumblebee "Bee!" He hugged his leg as the robot whirred and chirped before picking him up

Arcee and Bulkhead walked over to y/n as she stumbled back trying to look up considering the size difference but grunted when she fell

"Whoa.."

"Easy there, kid.." Bulkhead said flagging his hands down

"I don't wanna meet Wheeljack.." y/n whined

"Jackie? Why not? Wait- how do you know about him?"

Raf smiled "y/n, it's ok they're friendly."

Y/N looked up at them with somewhat curiosity before her eyes widen "Raf they aren't just robots are they?"

"They're actually cybertronians, autonomous robots from a distant planet called cybertron, they also called themselves-"

"Autobots.." y/n finished but frowned as she looked at the others "And those must be the decepticons. "

"How do you know so much about us if they've never told you?" Bulkhead asked

Y/N glanced away "Funny story.."

"Later, we need to get back to base." Arcee said as she transformed back into her motorcycle form

They nodded as she climbed inside Bee with Raf and they drove off

When they reached base it was very dark and she met Optimus as she stared up at him "holy crap.." she muttered

"Hello miss Fowler.. I have been expecting you." Optimus said with somewhat of a smile

Agent Fowler has told me much about you and you have peaked my curiosity. I'm Optimus Prime, leader of the autobots. Welcome to our base.

Her eyes widen as she grinned "Oh my god!"

"What? What's wrong??" Raf asked concerned

Her face darkened "ah nothing, just- I can hear optimus.. I didn't think I could understand anything else other than humans.. it's kind of exciting.." she said patting his head as he smiled and chuckled

"You never told us how you knew about us.." Bulkhead said

She looked up at Optimus and he nodded
