《The Younger Agent - Natasha Romanoff x OC》Chapter 66 - Seeing Red

Half an hour before they were due to land Steve called everyone into the centre of the jet to determine what the plan would be. Everyone agreed that this would not be a code-green, so Bruce would stay in the jet. The last thing that they needed was the Hulk smashing the place down.
Steve, Tony, and Thor were the three who would most likely be able to withstand direct hits from Ultron. The likelihood of him having a new and improved body by now was high, so they didn't doubt that he could pack a punch.
Natasha, Eleanor, and Clint would be in the shadows keeping an eye on things at the start. If a fight kicked off then they would deal with Klaue's men and if possible, keep the twins at bay, so that the others could focus directly on Ultron.
The first thing that Eleanor noticed as the jet flew over the salvage yard was just how muddy this coast was. There was no way that these ships would be able to move into the water. Though that was probably a good thing for a ship that is practically a glorified storage unit.
The next thing that she noticed was that there were multiple ships, and no way of immediately knowing which one was the main base of operations, aka the one that they needed to enter.
"Conduct heat signature scan", she spoke out loud, expecting Jarvis to respond and get it set up for the group. But her shoulders slumped when remembering that Jarvis was not there to help them, others on the jet also looked clearly disheartened by the reminder too.
"One sec", she shuffled over to one of the control panels at the front and got the scan set up. On a screen nearby it showed that there was movement in all of the ships, but there was a significant amount of movement in one of the middle ones, so that would hopefully be the one that they needed. With this new information, Stark worked on making a descent in the jungle area next to the mud patch, which meant that the land-bound Avengers would have to walk through the sticky mud.
Nat smiled at Eleanor as she walked back to where most people were in the centre and enabled the electricity in her suit to turn on, the familiar whirring of the start-up bringing some comfort to Eleanor. Her suit now had glowing blue strips going down the side of her ribs, up her arms and of course on her gloves.
Eleanor looked at her with incredulity when Nat immediately held her hand out for Eleanor to take, "I don't feel like being electrocuted right now, bub. Maybe another time?", she grinned.
"I'm not going to electrocute you", Nat laughed in response, "I haven't turned that part on yet".
"Oh good", Eleanor took her hand and walked towards the now open jet hatch. Hand in hand, the two followed the three others in front of them, with Clint hovering behind.
The group looked weird as they made their way across the mud plains, having to raise their legs higher than normal when lifting to give them momentum to drag their foot out of the squishy floor. It looked like they had just learnt to walk again. Eleanor and Clint grumbled the entire way there about how their shoes were now filthy, the number of scoffs and eye rolls they received from the rest of the group was endless.
Once they had made it to the bottom of the ship, Eleanor gazed upwards at the sheer height of it. It wasn't the first time that she had seen a ship out of the water, but she had certainly forgotten just how much bigger they look with the whole of the body above ground.

The group climbed up a rusty-looking metal ladder that Eleanor was sure that she would plummet to her death on, and took a side entrance so that they wouldn't end up directly in what they assumed would be Klaue's office. That would certainly ruin the element of surprise.
When entering the ship's interior, Eleanor promptly took one of her guns out of its holster and held it to her side, just in case. Especially with how eery it was inside she didn't want to take any chances. It was very grey and had minimal lighting. Though the areas that were lit up didn't look very well looked after. The vibes that it gave her were similar to that of Fury's underground dam base. A place with nothing out of the ordinary at first glance, but one that didn't make a person feel safe.
The guys in front gave them a nod at a set of stairs, signalling for them to split off at this point. Nat, Clint, and Eleanor nodded in response and continued further down to find a separate set of stairs. They were relieved to find a spiral staircase not far along the hall, one that could go up and down.
Clint went up to get a better view with his bow, whilst the two women went down so that they could be at the same level as the others. As they slowly ventured down the hall, both with both hands on their gun, they stopped at seeing that the end of the hallway they were travelling down ended, and they had a visual of Ultron. Natasha was almost glow-in-the-dark with the way the blue lines on her suit shone, Eleanor just hoped it wouldn't attract attention.
Eleanor gulped at seeing Ultron's new body. It was a lot larger than what it had been, and a lot larger than the average human. It was impressive how much work he had done in less than a day to get those results, but it was not good news for the group of heroes.
There was also a visual of the Maximoff twins who were standing a couple of paces away from him. Pietro, the fast one. Wearing a blue shirt and had clearly white dyed hair as brown was peeking in through the roots. Then there was Wanda, the weird one who could move objects with her mind and invade other people's minds. She wore a red dress with a black jacket and a high ponytail. Eleanor nodded slightly when looking at her, she had a cool style.
Apparently, Natasha had spotted this movement as she turned to her with her face scrunched in confusion. Eleanor shrugged, "Her boots are nice".
Nat turned back around to get a good view of the bot again, "You're weird".
"If you're only just figuring this out I think we need to re-think this whole marriage thing", Eleanor gestured between the two with one of her hands, making sure that it wasn't the one that was holding a gun, accidentally shooting her wife was definitely valid grounds for divorce.
Nat's jaw tensed slightly as she tried not to smile, "Oh, I noticed a long, long, long time ago". Eleanor's mouth opened slightly in amusement, but before they could continue the alongside mission joking, Ultron's voice suddenly raised to a point where they could hear him.
"Don't compare me with Stark!", it was then that the two noticed that Klaue now only had one arm.
"He had two before, right?", Eleanor whispered. Nat nodded and they both winced at seeing the man get kicked down a set of stairs by the bot. But some hope could be seen when Thor and Steve were walking towards the extinction trio.

"Stark is... he's a sickness!", Ultron turned around waving one of his hands in anger.
"Ah... junior. You're gonna break your old man's heart", Tony landed with a clang against the metal flooring, getting their attention. And oh boy, they did not look happy.
"If I have to", Ultron spoke as the three continued moving forward.
"Nobody has to break anything".
"Clearly you've never made an omelette", Ultron retorted, forcing Eleanor to desperately hold back a breathy chuckle at how many times she had heard Tony say that. Ultron really was his lovechild.
"He beat me by one second", Tony confirmed Eleanor's memory. Though it was amusing, Eleanor absentmindedly began biting her bottom lip. Two Tony's fighting each other was something that should be avoided at all costs. Both would be both annoyingly arrogant and stubborn. It would get messy.
"Ah, yes. He's funny. Mr Stark", the fast twin moved forward to stand next to Ultron instead of behind him. "It's what? Comfortable? Like old times?". His sister, Wanda, was looking at him with a look that Eleanor couldn't decipher. Her jaw was slack yet tight, and her frown caused a clear divot between her eyebrows, but it was clear that the anger shown on her face was not directed to her brother, even if she was looking at him.
Stark spoke again, but his voice was too quiet for the two women to hear. They could hear Steve when he walked forward, however, "You two can still walk away from this".
This brought Wanda's attention back onto him, "Oh, we will", her brows briefly knitted together as she nodded, her tone was almost pitying the group in front of them, likely for how hard she was going to beat their asses soon.
"She seems cool", Eleanor whispered to her wife next to her.
Nat briefly turned to her and tilted her head before looking back at the scene in front of them, "Sounds about right".
"I know you've suffered", Steve tried to continue but Ultron very loudly scoffed and shook his head. Eleanor's face scrunched slightly at seeing Steve piss the bot off.
"Captain America, God's righteous man", Ultron mocked, "Pretending you could live without a war. I can't physically throw up in my mouth, but-".
Thor interrupted the gross visual just in time, "If you believe in peace, then let us keep it".
"I think you're confusing 'peace' with 'quiet'".
"Yuh-huh. What's the vibranium for?", Tony jumped in, just as much done with the prolonged conversation as everyone else was.
"I'm glad you asked that because I wanted to take this time to explain my evil plan". Both women's eyes bulged at seeing Ultron use some kind of force to drag Tony forward with his hand and throw him backwards, whilst some upgraded Iron Legion bots flew towards Steve and Thor.
And so the fight begins.
The sound of metal loudly bashing together was clear throughout the interior of the ship, both metal men flying through the air sending hit after hit.
Eleanor and Natasha backed further down the hall to be in a better position if they were attacked. If someone ran at them from behind and pushed them hard then it would be likely that they would fall into the missile storage area below. So, they stood idly but ready in their spot, and it wasn't long before gunshots could be heard clear as day.
A few seconds after some of Klaue's men were running toward them, guns aimed, clearly looking for a fight. Which they would happily give them. Nat ran in forward and grabbed one by the shirt, throwing him head first into the metal wall.
The last thing that Eleanor saw before engaging in the fight herself was Natasha grabbing one by the neck and jumping at the wall to throw them to the floor.
Eleanor went with a more classic approach, she ran at the third man and gathered all of the momentum she could muster as she swung her fist at his chest, immediately winding him. Whilst he was gasping for breath she swept his leg out from underneath him.
Natasha ran forward and grabbed Eleanor by the elbow and dragged her up the stairs to get to Clint's level. After running across a bridge to reach the other side of the ship, they were immediately met with more armed goons. Natasha let go of her to deal with the ones coming from the right, and Eleanor left to deal with the ones on the left.
She had managed to down one by throwing him down another nearby staircase, but another grabbed ahold of her shoulders and yanked her a few paces backwards with him, allowing another to give her a hard punch to the jaw. Her body tensed in pain, that was surely going to bruise.
Just when he went for another hit she lifted her leg up and kicked the man in front of her in the abdomen, using the momentum to push the other mercenary into the wall behind them. He hit his head and crumpled to the floor like paper. She blocked a hit from the guy in front and twisted his arm before hitting him in the head with the butt of her gun, sending him to the floor as well.
When more had run up the stairs Steve's voice came through the communications device in her ear, "Thor, status".
"The girl tried to warp my mind. Take special care, I doubt a human could keep her at bay. Fortunately, I am mighty". Eleanor briefly rolled her eyes at the end of Thor's statement, but then focused on the important parts. Wanda was warping people's minds. She didn't know what would happen if she succeeded but all she knew was that she needed to get back to Natasha, as they had been separated due to being thrown around the place.
Though when Eleanor turned around to face where Natasha would be after immobilising the mercs, her heart dropped to her stomach at seeing Wanda standing beside her, red tendrils entering her wife's head, making her eyes briefly glow red.
"Hey!", she yelled and raised her gun at Wanda protectively and marched forward. She wasn't going to shoot, there was too high a chance that Maximoff could make the bullet hit Natasha, who was standing in a daze, clearly not in control of her own body, but Eleanor could certainly try to intimidate the young woman.
"Back off", she seethed at the brunette whilst her march forward continued. Though Wanda only smirked at her and tilted her head. Eleanor knew that she was walking into a lion's den with a trap already set, but she couldn't back down now.
When she was a few paces away, with a flick of the wrist Wanda sent red flying at Eleanor, who in turn flew backwards herself, landing a few metres sprawled out on her back trying to get air back into her lungs.
With no time to recover at all, Wanda was at her side crouching down to reach her level, "This is gonna hurt", she spoke in her Sokovian accent whilst smiling. Eleanor couldn't even get a word in before her own eyes flashed red and she was plunged into a pit of darkness.
