《The Guest》CHAP.22

A loud crash was heard from outside Ray's room.
Ava jolted awake being alarmed from the racket that was happening outside the room. Her breathing was heavy and her body was taken over by sweat.
She was still half asleep when Ray spoke to her, not understanding the situation she was in .
Ray held Ava tightly , stopping her from looking outside the room.
" You have to stay here alright, I'll check what's happening outside the door." He whispered to her.
Her eyes were already watering her thoughts, starting running wild thinking about all the horrible things that could be happening outside the door.
As Ray looked outside the room he saw Ace, Farah , and Chris fighting off masked people.
His heart beat grew faster as he saw the weapons being held on their head.
"Fuck." He said cursing under his breath. With everything happening his main interest was keeping Ava safe. That's all that mattered right now.
They were surrounded by at least 15 people, and they stayed here with only three bodyguards.
Ray once again cussed under his breath. He looked behind him, finding Ava with teary eyes.
" Ava we have to get out of here." He said seriously.
Walking over to her, she nodded, not wasting a second to get out of the bed.
She stumbled a little not having time to look around the room.
But she could feel something didn't feel right. So she stood there and looked around and when she did, she let out a small gasp at what she saw.
Ray on the other hand walked toward his closet and pulled out a case with weapons inside.
They were the ones he used to use when he was in the gang. It had been a while since he used them but right now he didn't have time to think about that.
"R-ray." Ava whispered trying to get his attention.
He got the gun that was in the case along with the knives.
He looked back at Ava who now shook, unable to blink with wide eyes.
" Ava love, I know it's hard but we have to get out." He said getting a hold of her face. He cupped it and held it tightly.
She shook her head still not speaking and when he turned around he too stood still.
A dead body. Stood there staring right back at them.
Ray stumbled back leaning against the bed frame.
"Shit." He said holding on to his gun tightly.

" Ava, get a gun." He told her.
She didn't think and did as he said. She got a gun along with a knife.
"Your only objective is to get the hell out of here. Ava, I'm not repeating myself okay. You need to worry about yourself before anyone else. If we go out there and you see them getting beaten on dont look. Keep walking, don't look okay." He told her.
She looked up at him and a single tear rolled down her cheek.
"Okay." she answered.
Loud bangs were heard from downstairs and Ava gulped. She didn't like the sound of guns, she hated them. They were loud and triggered bad memories, memories she'd rather them stay hidden.
It was hard to push through but she knew she had to open this door and get out but she didn't expect what she saw. She guessed her brother had called for backup because the whole room was a bloodshed.
It was a bloodied house no longer the home she felt safe in.
Men were on the ground begging for their lives, other crashing and burning things. It was a mess, everything was gone. .
Broken vases flipped tables. Ava didn't cry and did as Ray told her. He was right behind her and held the gun tightly watching as everyone involved themself in a fight.
Ava held back her tears as unwanted memories flashed through her mind.
This wasn't the first time she's seen a dead body but it still scared she was hunted by them and forever will be.
A body that was just a living soul not too long ago was now dead.
They both walked through the disaster; the only thing keeping them going was the will to live.
On the far left Ava found Ace fighting off three guys. He didn't look like he needed help at all, actually it seemed that it was the guys attacking him who were struggling.
Ava felt someone touch her back and for a moment she thought it was Ray but as she turned around she found a gun being held to her head as a guy with a mask on gazed down at her.
She held her gun tightly keeping eye contact with the guy.
She didn't want to use it she prayed the heaven that he didn't make her use it.
" Don't move if you want to live. My orders were to bring you back dead or alive so I have no problem putting this bullet right through your skull." He said his words were like venom.

Sick bastard. She thought.
He looked like he was enjoying this. Like this was a sick game of his.
The predator and the prey.
Ava's hand shook as she felt the tip of the gun touch her forehead.
But did not react. She couldn't react to what the man wanted.
She stood there with a blank face staring back at him.
She spotted Ray Walking behind the man and felt herself defloat.
Ray held his gun tightly in the back of the man's head, not showing any emotions. It was as if she was looking at a completely different person.
"Get your hands off my girl." He spoke.
Unlike her his hands did not shake. His eyes were icy as he got a look at the man.
" Did i fucking stutter get you hand off of her."
The man turned around and that was all Ray needed to shoot.
He wasn't hesitant like Ava he shot the man like he was nothing and the man fell on the ground.
" Y-your dead" he said grasping on to his last breaths.
" He will get you and fucking kill you." was the last thing the man said with a smile on his face.
This time it was Ava who didn't waste another second and started walking towards the door. HEr thoughts were scrambled but she didn't care.
"Ava' Ray said, walking behind her.
She didn't stop. But as she got towards her door she spotted her brother but he had a gun pointed at his head he already looked beat up and flimsy.
The person holding him held him by his neck making it hard for Camron to breathe.
He hyperventilated just trying to hold his breath and looked like he was on death's row.
"Ava." He said his voice sounded hoarse and dry.
'No, no, no, 'Ava whispered to herself. Hse couldn't lose the only family that she had left. She just wouldn't. She'd give up her life if it meant that her brother could live another day.
"Ava listen to me." He said.
But her tears had already started streaming down her eyes.
" I'll give up. Just please don't take him, not him." Sobbed looking at the man.
He scoffed and looked at her in disgust.
"Pathetic." He said under his breath.
" I'll be killing him then taking you to the boss." He said, speaking with no emotion.
How could someone be so cruel, she thought.
"How could you take away the only family that I have?" She yelled.
She didn't even realize what she was doing but before she knew it a loud bang was heard.
And another then another.
She heard yelling and someone was calling her name but that didn't matter to her.
She kept shooting.
A hand came over to her and took the gun away from her.
" Ava." Ray yelled, shaking her out of whatever trance she was swept on.
She didn't answer and looked at the man who was now and had three bullets in his chest.
She had just killed her first person. She wondered if it would be her last.
If she'd have to kill another person for the ones she loved.
'Camrone came running towards her and was engulfed in a hug.
"I'm sorry." He chanted as he held ava closely rocking back in forth basking in her heat.
" i'm so sorry,"
She didn't realize that she was sobbing that her eyes were red from the amount of tears she had shed today.
She didn't realize that she shook so much that even Cameron couldn't keep up. She stood and walked towards the dead body. The dead men that she killed and bent down.
" I'm sorry.' She whispered to him before closing his eyes.
It seemed that the racket had stopped. As she looked back she found someone that she had never expected to see again.
He smirked at her and looked around the house admiring the bloodshed.
He then looked at the dead body and his smile grew.
" I always knew you were a killer."
You looked behind him and spotted Ray behind, held by two men. And Camron was knocked out cold.
" If you want them to live, you'll have to come to me." He said walking closer to her.
She scooted back her eyes transfixed with horror unable to look always no matter how much she wished too.
" You're supposed to be dead." She whispered.
He grinned a sinister smile taking over his face.
" Surprise, didn't you miss me? Babysis." He said right before injecting something in her neck.
Her vision grew blurry and her words mixed together. The last thing she was was him waving at her before everything went black.
