《A'roya》Chapter Nine

Khascian chokes on her own spits, and I sit there with a hand over my mouth. Jericho's fucked. Phoebe's fucked. They are both fucked.
"She's living with Jericho because he refused to let her go when he found out, and Phoebe wants to keep the baby. I've been covering for her, but my mom keeps trying to dig, she told your moms today, so I don't think it'll be long before she calls you., A'roya."
"Oh, fuck."
"Oh fuck indeed." Khascian agreed. "What are we going to do with them?"
Elora sighs. "Helen, Selene, and I are worried about Phoebe. Jericho's doing his best to take care of her, but anxiety has her in a chokehold. She's worried about her baby and Jericho."
Khascian furrowed. "Why? It's not like your parents could kill anyone."
"I–I don't know, Phoebe's acting like it." Elora sighed. "I'll update you guys as much as possible, but I don't want this to be about me only."
"Don't say that. The situation is serious." I said.
"But," Khassy started. "We do have something unbelievable to tell you."
Elora waited patiently for Khassy to tell her.
"I—well, so I have a man,"
Elora smiles, squealing happily, but Khassy stops her.
"He's not human. He's a Vampire."
Elora furrowed her brows. "I never knew you were into that kinky stuff."
I snorted as Khassy gasped. "No! It's true, I swear. Hold on." She clears her throat. "Silas, about your offer, I would like to accept it."
And just like that, Silas appeared on the couch with a wicked smile on his face, but Elora screamed and fell to the ground. "Oh? Who's this?"
"Ain't no way, my boy," Elora shouts. "That was a magic trick,"
"What was a magic trick?" Silas asked.
"AHH, take that shit out your mouth! It's fake, it's makeup, magic shit, it's not real. Oh my god, I'm going crazy."
Silas furrowed his brows in concern. "Um, Khassy, A'roya, um, I'm kinda scared. Is she ok?"
I laughed, but Khassy glared at me, and I stopped. "No, I mean yes. We needed you to prove a point." I said.
Silas groaned. "You humans, I came here for sex, more sex, and loving arms."
Khassy rolled her eyes. "I'll call you later."
"Bye, baby." He pecked her lips and disappeared, leaving his black mist behind.
"I know you're motherfucking lying."
We shook our heads.
Elora glares confusingly at me. "What about you?!"
"I am cheating on my abusive husband with Vincent, my Vampire boyfriend."
"Abusive husband?! Vampire boyfriend?!" She gasped.
"Wait, what?" Khassy turns me around. "You said abusive?"
I nodded. "Derek is very abusive. Yes, he hits me, and h–he....just isn't as perfect as you guys thought before I told you he cheated, that is." I wanted to tell them about the sexual assault, but it's hard enough to say he beats me.

Elora comes closer to hug me. "Why didn't you tell us? Oh girl, as long as that Vampire man is treating you right, I wouldn't care if he was the devil."
Khascian joined in. "I know why you wouldn't tell us. I understand because my father does the same thing to Keenan and me."
Elora gasped. "The both of you?"
I looked at Khassy's hurt eyes, and we both looked at Elora and nodded. "I'm sorry, Khassy."
She shook her head, putting out her pinkie. "The life we were all born in is shit, but we gon be alright."
Elora and I smiled, putting our pinkies on hers. "We gon be alright," we all said.

Vincent sent Derek on a business trip, he doesn't want me anywhere near Derek, but it was kind of hard since he's married to me.
I leaned over the counter to grab an orange and heard Vincent curse under his breath before coming up behind me and pulling me closer. "I just had the best fucking fantasy of fucking you over my office desk."
I squealed, wriggling out of his grip. "Stop it, nasty," he smirks at my freaked-out state. "Anyway," I changed the subject. "I want to see your house, so take me there."
His smirk grew bigger; if I was white, I'd definitely be blushing. "What would you be doing at my house?"
I groaned. "You're perverted."
He just shrugged. "Ok?"
I ignored him, grabbing his hand and pulling him out of the house with me. "Drive me to your house and stop being weird."

I took a second to take in his house. It was beautiful, unbelievably beautiful. "Vincent, how much money do you have?"
Vincent shrugged. "I don't know....a lot."
I scoffed. "Your house is so beautiful."
The greenery around the house was terrific. It made the dark design of the house pop out. There was a fucking patio in front of the house, and it was beautifully built and designed, and it was big.
Vincent chuckled. "Yes, I guess; come on. I guess I'll give you a house tour."
Vincent opened the door with his fingerprint, and I just stared in awe as he furrowed his brows. "What? A'roya, this is a normal thing."
"I use a key to open my door," I whispered, still in awe.
"No shit. I just don't have the fucking time to use a key." Vincent said, pulling me inside.
I gasped. "It's bigger on the inside!" I squealed, running around.
"A'roya, act correct." Vincent rolled his eyes as I giggled, leaning against him. "This is my living room, I guess."
"You guess?"
I rolled my eyes, looking at his furniture and decor. "I half expected your house to have a dark interior, but I thought it'd be scarier. Not modern or luxurious."

"A'roya, this is not luxury," Vincent says, scaring the shit out of me when he teleported to the couch, manspreading.
"Did you have to teleport? Couldn't you have walked?"
Vincent looked at me weirdly. "Why the fuck would I do that?" He snorts. "Walking is crazy." He said sarcastically as I walked over to the couch.
I scoffed. "Not everyone's born a superhuman," I said, about to sit next to Vincent when he pulled me on his lap.
"It's fine. Your beauty makes up for it." He says, kissing my shoulder.
I giggled, rocking in his arms as he began kissing my neck. "I thought you were giving me a tour?" I asked as I got off him.
He narrowed his eyes at me. "I swear, A'roya," he grumbled, getting up. "Let's go to the kitchen."
I followed him down the hall to his kitchen. I smiled when I saw a beautiful-looking plant on his island. "I wouldn't take you for a plant guy."
"I'm not. I just knew you would think it's pretty."
I smiled and touched the pretty-looking leaves. "It is beautiful."
"It's ugly as fuck, like damn, can you upgrade."
I crossed my arms and pouted as Vincent walked over to me. "I hate you."
He smiled, making my heart flutter as he grabbed my waist and pulled me closer. "You love me." I rolled my eyes, not answering him, and he looked back at the plant. "The shit's going to die anyway. I'm not taking time out of my day to water it."
"You're done," I said, pulling away from him. "Give me a cup. I'll water it."
"No, and I'm not done. I'm still going."
I glared playfully at him, and he just glared back. "Vincent, give me a cup. I don't want it to die."
"I do; it's wasting up space, and now that you've seen it, I don't need it. Come on, let's go to the lounge."
"Another hallway," I whispered. "Dang."
Vincent shook his head, opening a door and pulling me in, and I actually squealed again....like a little girl. I don't understand how someone could be so wealthy.
"The chandelier, Vincent, look at the CHANDELIER!!" I said as I shook him.
"Yea, A'roya, I see it every day."
I rolled my eyes. "Vincent, why do you need all of this space? A lounge? Do you run a hotel?"
Vincent sighed as if the answer annoyed him. "My sisters like to appear in my house whenever they like and have fucking sleepovers, so if I didn't have a bigger space, they'd sleep in my room, watch tv in my living room, take fucking showers in my damn bathroom. They have absolutely no filter."
I snorted. "Vin, you have no filter as well," I said. "Oh, I like that," I said to myself. "Vin, Vinnie, mhmm, I guess it's easier than calling you, Vincent."
"No," Vincent said, leaving no room for argument, but I made room.
"Too bad, I like Vin or maybe Vinnie."
Vincent curses under his breath. "Let's go upstairs. I'm not arguing about my name."
I giggled, following him upstairs, to his room. "This is my room, where we'll be doing most of our activities."
He chuckles as I glare at him. "Seriously, Vincent?!"
"Yes, I'm being very serious."
I rolled my eyes, looking around his room. "I can't wait to fuck you senseless for rolling your eyes at me."
I almost choked on the air around me as I unintentionally clenched my thighs. "I–uh, um anyways, your room is very spacious."
Vincent smirked, leaning against the door frame as I explored his room. "Exactly."
I sighed when I realized he was still being dirty. "Where's your bathroom, dirty?"
Vincent scoffed, walking cockily, probably listening to my thoughts, and opened the door on the left side of his bed. "Are you going to look at my bathroom from the other side of the world?"
I scoffed. "So disrespectful," I said as I walked past him, looking at his bathroom.
His bathroom was dark, sinful, and luxurious.
"You like my bathroom?" Vincent smirked.
I glared at him. "Yes, I like it. Get out of my head." Vincent put his hand out for me to take. "You not gonna try anything?"
Vincent narrowed his eyes before just walking up to me and throwing me over his shoulder as I yelped, closing the bathroom with his telekinesis or whatever.
He placed me on his bed with a proud smirk on his face. He leaned over me, planting a kiss on my lips. I giggled, looking at the tattoos on his hands and tracing over them. "How many tattoos do you have?"
Vincent shrugged, lying next to me, letting me lay on him. "A lot."
I rolled my eyes. "Ok, what about piercings?"
"I have a nose ring, tongue piercing, nipple piercings–"
"Excuse me?! Nipples?!"
Vincent chuckled. "Yea, A'roya."
"Didn't hurt?" I said, trying to see his piercings from his shirt.
"Yes, but I don't really care," Vincent smirked. "I have another on my dick; wanna see that too?"
I looked up at him with an embarrassed look as he chuckled mockingly. He was making fun of me for staring at his nipple piercings.
"It's ok. I know I'm fucking hot."
"You're so cocky."
Vincent pecks my lips. "All the things you love about me?" He pecks my lips again as I snort.
"No,"
"Shut up and let me kiss you." Vincent flipped us so he was on top of me, sucking on my bottom lip before French kissing me as I moaned into the kiss, arching my back, willing to get fucked.
"Vinnie! We're home!" A woman's voice squealed.
"Fuck," Vincent whispered against my lips.

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!
