Shade's POV: (First two lines are from the last Shade POV for recap purposes)
I looked between him and the girl as I waited for him to spit out whatever he wanted to say.
"She is a Mythica" he finished in a revelation that made me question everything that I learned about Asher and his loyalties.
------------------
"Wait, what?" I whispered almost inaudibly.
"I said..." Chase began.
"I know what you said, I just don't understand how" I replied in complete confusion.
"Did Asher not tell you about me?" the girl asked in what seemed to be a fake surprised tone.
"No" I replied through gritted teeth. " none of this matters right now anyway, we need to find Aurora" I finished in a matter of urgency.
"Well don't look at me I have no idea where anything is in this place, remember the weird injections that I mentioned earlier? well, thanks to them i've spent most of my time here in my own mind," said Chase, shivering slightly.
"Really? I have never heard of such a drug" I replied in a slightly softer tone.
"You honestly don't want to, if I have learnt anything from this place it's that even the happiest of people have a dark place in their mind" he responded in a rather emotionless tone.
The girl walked up to Chase and placed her hand on his shoulder to reassure him, he gave her a weak smile and then turned back to me.
"Let's get out of here," he said softly as he made his way to the door.
I started to follow him but the girl grabbed onto my arm gently, pulling me around to face her.
"He may seem fine but he has been through a lot in here" she began in a whisper "he may have left some of the old Chase behind... so just don't push him for now" she finished thoughtfully.
"Ok, but if he is going to open up to anyone it'll be Aurora," I said, causing her to nod her head.
"Oh, my name is Lavina" she added quickly.
I nodded my head curtly before we followed Chase outside where he was standing frozen to his spot, I sidestepped slightly to see around him before realising that he was staring at Sebastian.

"Who the hell is that?" he asked quickly without taking his eyes off the man before him.
"Sebastian" gasped Lavina, taking the words right out of my mouth. "I'm surprised that you're still alive" she continued, dropping her shocked tone.
"I could say the same thing about you" replied Sebastian calmly.
I looked at Chase who's face seemed to have gone back to a blank expression after hearing Sebastian's name. Their laughter reached my ears as I continued to look at Chase, hoping for some sort of explanation.
"Lavina told me that she and Sebastian used to share a cell until I came along" explained Chase quickly.
"Right," I replied "now that the reunion is over let's go" I continued, trying to speed them up.
"Follow me, if Emrick had taken Aurora anywhere it would be to the combat room" explained Sebastian as he turned to walk to the left.
"Combat room?" I questioned as we moved along the dingy corridor.
"It's the largest room in the fortress and was designed to fit all sorts of beasts, including dragons" he elaborated.
"Dragons?" I questioned in surprise "how?"
"It's on the bottom floor, meaning that it is underground" he responded as we turned a corner.
"There are only two exits in the whole room" cut in Lavina "One is a highly protected door which only extremely strong magic can open, which is why Lucifer is one of the only people who can operate it... and the other is the dragon entrance, which opens automatically for any dragon who wished to enter" she finished.
"What's the point of having such a highly advanced door if anyone with a dragon can just fly in?" I scoffed, looking over my shoulder towards Lavina.
"Careful" exclaimed Sebastian, holding his arm across my chest to stop me.
I Looked forward to see that I had almost tripped over a rock that lay fallen at the top of a flight of stairs.
"Thanks" I breathed thankfully before I stepped over the rock and moved down the descending steps, this time paying closer attention to where I was going.
"Lucifer has positioned half of his demon army in front of that entrance, besides its rather hard to find unless you know where you are going," said Lavina, finishing our previous conversation.

We then walked in silence until I was hit by a sudden realisation.
"Chase?" I questioned before turning around to face him "can't you talk to the others through the link?" I asked, wondering why I hadn't thought of it before.
"No, the connection is fried for now" he replied instantly with a dull look in his eyes "thanks to yet another wonderful side effect of those injections" he finished with a quick eye-roll.
I nodded my head in disappointment but what did I expect? If there was a chance that Aurora could have talked to Chase when he was captured she would have. We continued to walk down the twisting stairs until we finally reached the bottom.
"The door is just around that corner" whispered Sebastian, pointing further down the corridor. "It shouldn't be heavily guarded but I will be surprised if there is not at least one demon there."
I slowed my breathing as we walked and allowed all of my anger towards both Emrick and Lucifer to surface, I thought of Aurora and what she may be going through right now because I wasn't strong enough to fight off Emrick's magic, and those thoughts enough were enough to fuel me.
I dew my daggers and jumped up into a run, as soon as I turned the corner I was met with two basic demons sitting either side of the door. They stood up upon seeing me and stalked into the centre of the corridor before charging towards me at full speed.
In spite of the pleas from the people behind me I didn't slow, in fact, I picked up speed, and just as the beasts were ready to sink their razor sharp teeth into my flesh I dropped to the floor and skidded along its smooth stone surface, effectively slicing through both of their stomachs.
Letting me know that I missed their hearts, they both statically stumbled to their feet and charged at me clumsily. I quickly stepped out of the way and decapitated the closest one with my left dagger, causing it to drop to the floor for a final time. At the same time, I used my right dagger to pierce the final demon through the eye before swiftly pulling the dagger out to decapitate it.
"That was beyond reckless" shouted Sebastian as he ran towards me.
"That's kind of Shade's thing" replied Chase as they came to a stop.
"More importantly, how are we going to get through that door?" I asked, looking it up and down.
"Easy," said Chase with a grin "we knock"
He walked up to the door silently and raised his arm, he gave us a quick smile before he brought his fist down continuously on the door making the whole thing vibrate.
"We know that you're in there" he screamed loudly "don't make us knock down your really big invincible door" he finished, immediately thinking over what he just said.
I mentally facepalmed before approaching the door myself.
"We are not leaving without Aurora" I shouted, projecting as much hate into my words as I could.
The door groaned loudly as it begun to open to reveal Emrick and another older man who I assumed was Lucifer.
"Actually...you are not leaving at all," he said menacingly as he pulled his arms towards his body, swiftly forcing us all inside the room.
He slammed the door behind us and then released whatever magical hold that he had over us. I ignored both of them and scanned the room for Aurora.
"Clearly that girl cannot to one simple job" I heard Lucifer say from somewhere beside me as I continued to look over the room.
I inwardly gasped as I felt my face pale at the sight before me, Aurora was sat on a large throne at the opposite end of the room, her head was tilted back in an unnatural position showing that she was unconscious but her eyes were open and glazed over. A ghostly expression was present on her face as tall orange flames surrounded her in a tight circle as if they were trying to suck the life out of her.
"Let. her. go." I growled lowly.
Lucifer stared grimly at me as a small smile grew on his lips.
"I'm sorry but I can't do that," he said in a bittersweet tone "but don't worry, you will join her soon enough.
