"You're coming tonight, right?"
"Of course I am, it's your graduation party, I wouldn't miss it." I told Olivia as I switched the phone to my left ear.
"Okay, cool. I just wanted to make sure. You've seemed a little distant..."
"I know," I said sighing, "And it's not fair to you guys. I'm sorry, but don't worry, I won't be like that anymore."
"I'm glad, Grace and I have missed you."
"Sorry Olivia, but I got to go and start getting ready, if you want me to be there on time."
"Okay! Bye, Maddie." She said as I hung up. I got up from the chair in my room and took a quick shower, and then quickly curled my hair and got dressed.

"Maddie!" Grace squeaked pulling me into a hug when I pulled up in front of Olivia's.
"Hey! You act like you haven't seen me in weeks." She just laughed and dragged me up the driveway to the party.
As the night wore on, I realized it was a great idea coming here. It was great getting my mind off things, and it was a lot of fun. Someone hooked up their Ipod to speakers, blasting Hey Monday and Fall Out Boy.
"Come dance with us!" Olivia shouted as How You Love Me Now came on. I hesitated, normally I would say no, but I sort of owed it to them, and I was there to have a good time. So, I smiled, and let them lead me to the back yard where everyone else was dancing.
I danced for another seven songs, and probably would've kept dancing, too, if a slow song hadn't come on. So I untangled myself from everyone else and checked my phone. It was already after midnight. I had no idea it was that late already. My parents wanted me home by one, so I decided to just leave now. I said goodbye to the small group of people who were still there, and got in my car and headed home.

I pulled into the driveway, grabbed my purse, and locked the doors. As I was heading up the front walk, I heard some noises coming from the side of the house. I immediately stopped in my tracks and listened as my heart rate began to increase. plop. There it was again. I took a deep breath to study myself and took a few steps toward the noise. plop. It was louder this time so I knew I was getting closer to it.
When I got close enough to actually see what it was, I let out a mix between a laugh and a sob. I saw his familiar silhouette standing beside the big tree that was below my bedroom window.
"What're you doing?" I asked laughing when he jumped, obviously not seeing me standing there.
"Holy shit, Maddie, you scared the hell out of me." He said also laughing, and pulling me into his arms. I sighed, and wrapped my arms around him.
"Were you throwing rocks at my window?" I asked, my voice was muffled against his chest. I felt his chest shake with laughter.
"Uh-yeah. My phone died, and I was trying to get your attention. And... now I just remembered you were at Olivia's graduation party tonight." I let out a laugh
"Well, why are you here tonight? Don't you have a show in Pennsylvania tomorrow?"
"Yeah, but I wanted to give you this, first." He pulled out a small, but long velvet box.
"Ryan..." I started.
"Just open it," He said softly. I slowly opened the lid, and felt my breath get caught in my throat. Inside was a beautiful, diamond tennis bracelet. "Do you like it?" He asked. I looked up at his beautiful smile, and deep brown eyes that the moon was illuminating.

"I-I love it, but it's way too much-"
"It's not. It's your birthday present, because I know that I won't be able to come back here for it." He gently took it out and clasped it around my wrist.
"Maybe there is a way we could spend my birthday together." I whispered, looking into his eyes.
"What do you mean?" He asked frowning.
"I have an idea..."
A/N Ahh, things are about to change (; Feedback please!!
