ran into another room, seeing tommy walking in.
y/n slowly walked up behind tommy, with a knife.
tommy turned around to face tommy, and y/n yelled out as she stabbed tommy in the chest.
tommy grunted and punched y/n in the face.
y/n and ziggy continued wrestling with tommy, and tommy started choking them both, and ziggy took a bag, and put it over tommy's head.
ziggy tried to choke tommy to death, but tommy kicked ziggy off of her, grabbing an axe and trying to kill both y/n and ziggy.
ziggy and y/n started running away, with ziggy limping and y/n helping her.
tommy knocked y/n and ziggy to the floor, and they both backed up as tears fell down.
then, cindy came up, stabbing tommy in the back.
tommy turned around to face cindy, cindy stabbed tommy again.
"fuck.." cindy said as she stabbed tommy again. "you!" cindy stabbed tommy again.
tommy fell to the floor, with all three girls panting.
"you swore." ziggy panted.
"it's becoming a habit." cindy remarked.
ziggy chuckled as cindy dropped her knife and hugged ziggy.
"you smell like shit." ziggy commented.
"yeah, that's because i'm covered in it." cindy replied.
"do you think it'll wash out?" cindy asked, referring to her polo.
"you might need to buy a new polo." y/n laughed.
the three girls laughed, then cindy turned back to ziggy.
"i'm so sorry, ziggy." cindy apologized. "i'm.. i'm sorry i wasn't here, not just tonight, but every day."
"no, you were. you just-"
"no, no. i haven't been here." ziggy cut cindy off. "i know that now. i know that you just needed me to listen, to hear you. i thought if i just put my head down and followed the rules, everything would be fine. that'd i'd get out of shadyside. but, now i know you were right. everything is cursed."

"you're not the only one who figured that out." ziggy said, as she pointed to y/n. "but, i could've been nicer. i could have been less of a.. of a monster."
"yeah." cindy agreed. "well.. you were my monster. and at the end of the day, mom, dad, shadyside, sunnyvale, i won't let anything pull us apart again. you hear me?"
"loud and clear, ma'am." ziggy smiled.
ziggy and cindy heard distant footsteps again, and went over to went slowly.
alice popped out of the vent. "hey, snitch." alice said to cindy.
cindy went up, and helped alice out the vent.
"you did it." alice realized.
"we did it." cindy softly told alice.
alice and cindy hugged each other, tightly embracing each other.
"okay, careful, this things like a million years old." alice reminded her.
"i bought that a month ago." cindy sadly said.
"no, i'm not talking about your stupid bag, genius." alice corrected. "blood will fall. satan's stone, ok? it was right there. all this time, buried under the moss, and i found it. i fucking found it."
"found what?" cindy asked.
"three guesses.

they went to the table, and alice opened up the bag, to reveal sarah fier's hand.
"what? what is it?" ziggy asked.
"it's sarah fier's lost hand." alice replied.
"nurse lane." cindy realized. "she spent her entire life looking for this. a way to stop the curse that took her daughter."
"without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm." alice recited from the quote. "the curse will last until body and hand unite. and if the legend is true, her body is still buried by-"
"the hanging tree." y/n cut off alice. "we can end this."

"no more murders. no more curse." cindy lister, then she looked over to tommy. "no more.. pain."
alice and cindy shared a glance, with alice slightly smiling.
"we can save shadyside." y/n added. "tonight."
ziggy slid the hand over to her confusedly, as her nose dropped blood.
some of ziggy's nose blood fell onto the hand, and ziggy's head shot up, with her eyes wide.
y/n grabbed onto ziggy's hands, and ziggy gasped, out of whatever trance she was in.
ziggy wiped the blood. "my nose.. it bled on the hand, and.. i think i just saw her."
"who?" cindy asked.
"sarah fier." ziggy panted. "she was.. she was angry."
"we have to bury this thing.. right fucking now." y/n told them.
cindy rushed up from the seat, and so did ziggy, alice, and y/n.
cindy handed shovels to ziggy and y/n.
"okay, let's go." cindy told them.
"what? i have to use my hands?" alice asked, noticing she didn't have a shovels.
"no, you're staying here." cindy ordered.
"come on, i can hop just fine." alice persuades.
alice turned around to face cindy.
"i watched my dad go to jail when i was six." alice explained. "i watched my mom steal.. so i could eat. first time i cut myself i was 12. it was after.. well you know when. and now tonight, i watched your perfect boyfriend turn into a monster. and kill the only person i've ever lover. i've waited my whole fucking life this. and now i found. let me see this through. for arnie.. for tommy.. for shadyside."
cindy nodded her head. "for shadyside." cindy turned to ziggy.
"for shadyside." ziggy agreed, then turned to y/n with a smile.
"for shadyside." y/n agreed, smiling too.
alice smirked, getting ready to end this.
"alice!" cindy yelled.
alice furrowed her brows, and turned around, widening her eyes, but almost instantly, tommy axed alice in the head.
cindy groaned as she hit tommy with the shovel. "fucking die! why won't you fucking die!?"
cindy sliced off tommy's head with the shovel, causing the body to drop to the floor.
cindy looked to see alice on the floor.
"no, alice.." cindy said. "alice just.. just stay with me, alice."
alice took one last struggling breath, before her body going limp.
"no.." cindy sobbed. "alice! alice!"
ziggy and y/n heard a singing girl in the distance, while cindy quietly sobbed.
"what is that?" ziggy asked in confusion.
the three walked over to the vent, to see a killer crawling out of the vent, ruby lane.
"run!" cindy yelled.
the three girls ran out of the mess hall, going into the woods.

Be careful when demanding reparations from gods. They rarely own up to their mistakes. Instead, she curses him with cowardice, limiting his combat and magical potential. Little does the goddess know that nothing can stand in the way of Perry's sheer will. If brute strength and arcane might won't get him the justice he desires, wit and creativity will. Perry's first target? A goblin shaman. Then, the world. And so begins, the bard's ballad. Trickster's Tale (Book 1): Is That A Lute In Your Pocket will release on Kindle Unlimited on the 10th of May.Due to KU's exclusivity rules, I've had to take most of book 1 down.Book 1 Bard's Ballad takes place in the same extended Universe as my other story, The Houndsman. It's set on a distant 'disk', though. As a result, the magic system is unique in comparison and has a harder LitRPG system. While the story utilises stats, it doesn't take them seriously and occasionally makes fun of regular LitRPG mechanics.
