"How are you liking it so far?" Severus nudged your shoulder as you all walked through Hogsmead.

So far you have been to Honeydukes where you got some sweets like chocolate frogs, fudge flies, acid pops and Bertie Botts every flavor beans. Then you went to Madam Puddifoot's tea shop where Severus suggested you some different flavor teas that he thought you might like. Then you all went to Pippin's Potions so Severus could get some of his own potions ingredients.

"I love it. There was nowhere like this around at my old school. We just had to have our parents send us stuff which was difficult." You told the group.

"I think we should split up, girls and boys so we can find our dresses and the boys can find their suits." Narcissa chimed in as you all passed a dress shop.

"Aren't we supposed to match? So shouldn't we go with you so we can match our suits to your dress?" Severus furrowed his nose in confusion.

"Yes but normally the boys just match their ties to the girls' dresses. So find your suits and you can match your tie's when we find our dress.

"Alright. Are you okay with splitting up?" Severus asked you, his eyes looking towards Narcissa's sister Bellatrix who decided to tag along so she could get her dress. He knew she could be a little hectic.

"I'll be okay. I think it'll be fun. Go find a nice suit." You tease, making him chuckle.

"Don't you worry I'll make sure he finds one that his lady will be happy with." Lucius smirked, resting his arm on Severus' shoulder.

"I'm holding you to that Mr Malfoy." You giggled, shoving him playfully.

"Alright I'll see you in an hour or so." Severus kissed your cheek before he was pulled away by the boys and taken into one of the mens shops.

"Okay girls, let's get shopping. We have to find the perfect dresses." Narcissa insisted as she took you by the hand and pulled you to the dress shops at the end of the street. "These are some of the best dress shops in Hogsmeade. I'm planning on looking for something green. Lucius loves his house colors so I know he'll like it."

"I'm just planning on something black. Simple, matches everything, can't go wrong with black." Bellatrix commented.

"I'm not really looking for a specific color, just something that fits well and looks nice on me. I never really liked dresses. I always preferred anything else. I just don't really like the way they look on me and a couple years ago when I was overweight it was always so.... Discouraging going dress shopping. Nothing ever fit right or if it did fit I didn't like the way it looked on me so this time I just want something that looks nice on me. I don't want to have to settle on something just because it fits." You told them.

"Well this place has a big selection. So you should find something you like." Narcissa assured you.

Once you all got to the shop you started trying on dresses one at a time. The first one to start finding dresses and trying them on was Bellatrix because she was the easiest person to look for. A black dress didn't matter what shape or design as long as it was black and fit she would try it on. At one point you all had to stop grabbing dresses for her because there were just too many black dresses that would fit her. So after you picked out about ten dresses for her to try on she went into the fitting room to start trying them on.

You could tell this was a more expensive shop because they had private fitting areas where you could sit and wait for the person to come out and show you the dress. They also had a three way mirror so you could see how the dress looked on you from several angles instead of just straight forward.

The first 5 dresses she tried on were a bust. None of you liked them, they didn't fit her body too well and one was just too revealing for a school dance. As she started getting further into them she started finding more that she liked. One was a V neck dress with a lacy lower half that was shorter in the front then it was in the back. That was the one you really liked on her.

The next was a dress that was a basic black dress. The same length across the bottom with a plain upper half to the dress. The only interesting thing about the dress was the silver bow around the waist. It was nice and Bella really liked the way it fit her. The last dress she tried on was black the same length around the bottom with silver rhinestones on the upper half. That was Narcissa's favorite and you liked it too. At the end she picked the last dress with the rhinestones on it.

Next was Narcissa. For her she preferred a dark green dress but she would also consider a silver dress so you all got to work looking. Again you were about to find several different dresses that would suit her well. You each grabbed the two you liked best and had her go try them on.

The first dress she tried on was one you picked. It was green with black lace on the chest and a silver tie around the waist.

"I honestly really like this one. I'll try on one or two more just to be sure but I think this is the one." Narcissa told you as she looked at herself in the mirror.

"I think it looks great on you." You agreed. Bellatrix just nodded in agreement as well. As she said she tried on three more dresses but that was the one she liked the best. Now it was time for you to find your dress.

Since you weren't looking for anything specific it wasn't as hard to look for you. The only thing you told them you didn't want was anything too revealing. You weren't comfortable in dresses as it was and you didn't want anything that would make you feel anymore insecure. So you all started looking for anything in any color. By the time you all finished finding dresses there must have been at least twelve there for you to try on.

The first thing you tried on was a basic silver dress with a black bow. Basically a reverse of the dress Bellatrix had tried on earlier. The next dress red was shorter in the front then it was in the back and had rhinestones on the chest and had a lace pattern on the bottom. You loved this dress but you wanted to keep going to see if you liked any others more. The four dresses in the middle didn't look good on you. Two didn't fit well and the other two you just didn't like the look or the feel of them. The next dress you liked was a lavender dress with a silver tie on the waist. When you finished trying them all on you decided that you loved the red dress and that was the one you wanted. Which also went Severus had to wear a tie that was your house color which you found amusing.

"This is it." You said holding up the red dress.

"That dress was stunning on you. Severus will love it." Narcissa smiled.

The boy's shopping was easy. Find a suit they liked, try it and if it didn't fit well they could have the tailor fix it up for them. Regulus, being the only one of the three who didn't have a date, found a nice black suit with black dress shirt and black dress shoes. He could literally match anyone which is what he was going for.

"I can literally dance with any girl I want wearing this. Have fun dancing with one lass all night, mates." Regulus joked.

"You're just acting like a player because you didn't have the balls to ask anything to be your date to the ball." Lucius pointed out making Severus chuckle.

"What can I say? I don't wanna be tied down." He chuckled.

Lucius, knowing that Narcissa would pick a dress that matched their house colors, decided to get a light gray suit with black dress shoes and a dark green dress shirt. Lucius didn't wear ties so that didn't matter much. Now it was on to Severus who had no idea what he was doing.

"I don't know what she's going to pick. How can I find something that will match?" Severus asked.

"Well, black and light gray match everything so find one of those colors for the suit. If you're going to pick a black suit then pick a light gray dress shirt or vice versa. The tie we can always come back for in a couple weeks. The tie will put the whole suit together since you can choose a tie that matches the color of her dress. Go try on one black and one gray suit and let us see." Lucius explained to his obviously lost friend.

Severus did as instructed and found one black and one gray suit. First he tried on the gray suit but the color just didn't look good on his pale skin. It almost matched too much to his skin tone so Lucius told him to try the black suit. As expected it looked great which they all knew since Severus wore black 99 percent of the time anyway. With his black suit they found a gray dress shirt which looked good with the suit since it wasn't the main color and was more of an accent. Then with it he found some black dress shoes.

Once they finished up they sent their suits back to the tailor to make some changes and were on their way to meet the girls. True to his word from earlier in the year Lucius paid for Severus' suit to which Severus thanked him over and over for.

Once they reached the three broomsticks where they had agreed to meet up they all ordered some drinks and lunch before heading back to Hogwarts.

"So did you find something you liked?" Severus asked you, as you cuddled into his side in the booth.

"I did, I think you're going to like it." You told him.

"All that matters is if you like it and if you feel confident wearing it. Don't ever pick your clothing based on what you think I would like. You could wear a potato sack and I'd still find you beautiful." He said so sincerely it made you want to melt.

"You're perfect."

"Only for you."
