Bree tried to jump into fighting stance, but she was still weak from the sleeping dart, and she stumbled. Kari whirled around and caught Bree before she could hit her head. Kari smiled, though her eyes were confused.

"Woah there." Kari said as she eased Bree onto the couch "Sorry. I guess Danyella put too much sleep in your dart." She chuckled and sat down next to Bree, who slid away. Kari frowned. "What? Am I toxic or something?"

"Are you working with Shredder?" Bree demanded, ignoring Kari. Kari's eyes turned sad, and her cherry-red lips pursed in a thin line.

"He died. Sensei talks about him a lot, and I see her tears when she does. Splinter killed him. Why? How do you know about him?" Kari asked. Her body was still tense, but her eyes changed from sad to curious when she asked the questions.

Bree shook her head. "I'm sorry, I'm confused. Your Sensai is a girl? And when did Shredder die? Kari, what are you talking about?"

Kari's eyebrows furrowed. "My name's not Kari. I'm Miwa. And what do you mean you confused? Everyone knows about Hamato Splinter and his Turtle Minions, and the love triangle between him, his brother, and their lover, Teng Shen, also known as my mother and Sensai, and my sisters and me, the Teenage Human Ninjas."
