《TMNT Dimensions (completed)》Chapter 9: Backwards, part 7

"Come ON, you guys! Those aren't the evil turtles! They're from a different dimension, and they're you guys! Only, you know, they're boys, and giant turtles, but that's not the point!" Bree whined. While she had been thinking of a way to convince the turtles that Miwa, Rocky, Maddy, and Danyella were good guys, they had scooped her up as the boys had back at the lair.
"If that were true, then why did they capture you in the middle of an innocent if not embarrassing conversation?" Danyella accused. Bree was being carried by Maddy, who was surprisingly strong despite her small frame. Danyella was running alongside them and has heard Bree complaining.
"Because they thought that you were trying to... actually, I'm not sure. But I do know that being thrown in a cage is rude! So... HA!" Bree spat. They ran all the way back to the lair, where the Teenage Human Ninjas put Bree in a cage that was suspended from the spiral stairs which fell from the ceiling. "What are you guys doing?" Bree demanded.
"Using you as bait," Danyella replied simply.
"Wait, what? Why? You don't need to lock me in a cage! We can talk this o-" but then Rocky tied Bree's wrists to one of the bars and gagged her. Uh-oh... Bree thought.
_********************************_
It had been nearly half an hour, if not a full one, that Bree had been swinging up in the cage. She was bored out of her mind! She had started counting the wooden boards of the spiral stairs. That's how bored she was. She lost count around fifty, so she began to hum a song. She wasn't very good at memorizing lyrics, even when she's heard the song a thousand times, so it was really just a mish-mash of everything she knew. The Teenage Human Ninjas had melted into the shadows as soon as she had been secure. She wondered vaguely if they were as bored as she was. She glanced at the entrance to the lair for the hundredth time and saw nothing but the gaping entryway with the Space Hero's pinball machine next to it. No turtles though. She sighed through the gag. But then she saw something. A flash of... green! Yes! But then she realized something. Her friends were walking blindly into a trap...

Apex Predator
Earth is a fairly small place, but it's all Bath has. It's the only home he's ever known for all of his 500-or-so-million years of life. One day, Bath realized his treasured Earth was being drawn into the next mass extinction ahead of schedule. So, fascinated by the humans and their quick rise to power (after all, setting off a mass extinction is a pretty sizable achievement), what's a nearly all-powerful, somewhat bored, morally ambiguous, savagely violent, shapeshifting alien entity to do other than assume the form of a human and do some front-line investigating? Little did Bath know he would soon stumble upon a mysterious human organization with a gate leading to planets eons away. And that's just the beginning... A story with aliens, intergalactic space travel, mind powers, and an abundance of adventure! Author's note: ON HIATUS! Hello and thank you for reading! Constructive criticism and grammar-policing are both appreciated. Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 are complete at 1271 pages! Part 7 is in progress! If you've ever read any other web serials, you might've noticed that authors get better with time (that is, their art or writing improves). Wutosama of Metaworld Chronicles noted that the first 20 chaps are always a mess. This is also the case with Apex Predator. The first two parts (ranging just under 30 chapters, or 161 pages) are absolutely subpar. While I have edited them as of 7-10-18, they require a rewrite, which is currently in the works but not complete. For a sample that gives insight into what the latter ~80% of the story's writing style is like, check out chapter 56. Vote for Apex Predator on Top Web Fiction! The Apex Predator Discord is here. Cover: original work done by me, the author, caerulex.

Steven the Understanding
This is a quick and dirty fiction. Editing is a crutch. Steven woke up naked under a bush and things just get worse from there. Updates 5 days a week until I can't anymore.

The Untitled
It isn't often we mention names. The greatest royalty, the most-skilled hunters, and often even the people we know best in the world, we know them all by their titles. Names are private, personal, sacred. This you must understand before you hear the story of The Untitled. Because to hear their story is to hear their names; the names of Legends. ---------------------------------- Based on the Monster Hunter series by Capcom. Part 2 coming to a webpage near you... soon-ish. Question mark.
