Amidst shifting to finance and getting started with work. Juhi forgot about lunch until her friend Namrata came to her cubicle.
Namrata was her colleague from resource department, where she was posted previously. They both had clicked instantly, and thus became lunch partners.
" Juhi, come on, its lunch"
Juhi turned her head to look at Namrata and got up from her chair to hug her. Namrata was taken aback by sudden shower of affection. She knew Juhi for over 3 months and she never expressed her emotions out in the open. So, she asked, " Juhi, is everything fine? You never hug?"
" I don't hug! Oh come on, Namrata, I do hugs, just not in the office." came the muffled voice of Juhi from her side.
" I meet you in the office only, forgot?"
Namrata questioned, her hand clicking on Juhi's forehead.
" Yes, I forgot! Be professional in office, right?"
" Yes, but not with friends.", she said pulling back from the hug and dragging Juhi out of the office.
Pulling her hand back, Juhi rushed inside her cubicle to grab her phone, then she followed Namrata out into the canteen.
Once they were seated in the canteen. She opened her phone to find a message from Vikram.
She smiled at the message,
J: I know, it was lame on my part. Won't say thank you for trivial stuff.
She got back to her lunch with Namrata, who was busy ordering until now.
Namrata looked at her excitedly and filled her with the details of her weekend. Juhi listened to her and filled her in about the details of the meeting and her adventures in the kitchen.
" So, what are you making next?"
" Mom knows, I am new remember?"

Namrata chuckled and said, " You are new to cooking and not food. You can actually know what you would be making next."
Juhi looked at her amused.
" You are making fun of me. "
" Of course, I am. What are friends for?" She finished her meal and added, " What will you make for me?"
Juhi swallowed her last morsel, "Namrata, I'm still learning. But, I will try something for you sure. "
" Yes!", came the excited voice of Namrata.
They paid the bill and went back to work.
Vikram saw no reply from Juhi as the evening rolled in. He was fumbling with his phone, waiting for her reply. His phone rang and he quickly turned to look at it with excitement, only to see the caller was his mom.
" Hi, beta! Done for the day?"
" Yes, how was your day mom?"
" The usual. You tell me, what did you think of Juhi, so far?"
" She is nice. I would like to know her better."
Hina Raheja gave a beautiful smile to her husband seated beside her, on hearing this. She said, " Of course, but you guys should make a decision soon. You better get married soon."
" Mom, what is with the rush?"
" Uh...nothing I just want you to be settled soon. Can't a mother wish for her son to be settled?"
Vikram could identify the fumble in her voice. He just agreed with her demands as of now and hanged up the phone.
Keeping the phone aside, he went to the gym to clear his mind. He came back home after an hour, to go back to his study and read the files.
He didn't glance at his phone, even once. He skipped dinner and completed the files. While reading, one of them, his tiredness got the best of him and he drifted into sleep.
