Juhi had come home tired. She wanted to sleep, but her Mother's face greeted her at the doorstep. Her mother asked her to freshen up and join her in the kitchen. Juhi nodded and went upstairs.
Once freshened up, she looked for her phone. She wanted to make Pav- Bhaji for dinner.
Although her mother was a great cook, she wanted few tips from YouTube. She searched around the room for the phone and found it in her office bag. Taking it out, she saw a message from Vikram,
J: Oh sorry! I saw the message now. I am cooking dinner. What are you doing?
She opened YouTube and searched for her recipe.
Joining her mom downstairs, she helped her in cutting veggies and stuff. Finally, she made the bhaji and was given the task of heating up the pav. She managed to heat them up, without burning her fingers. They were all set to have dinner.
During dinner, her father informed his wife of their daughter's presentation. He was all praises about her, more so of Narendra. Then the topic shifted to Vikram.
Her father asked, " So, how is Vikram?"
She replied nonchalantly, " He seems nice."
Her mother quirked her eyes up and asked her sweetly, " Is he nice enough to make you talk to him for hours?"
'Crap! How did she know?' Juhi thought and looked at her mom, who was indeed smirking back at her.
" Uh...no mom, when? I didn't talk to him."
Her mother's eyes flared with the challenge and she said, " Then who were you talking to last night?"
She was caught and moreover she blushed in full daylight, in front of her parents. Her parents observed that and laughed out loud at her expense.

" As far as he treats you good, you can talk with him. Sometimes, you can meet as well."
Her blush deepened. She quickly got hold of Bhaji and excused herself to bring some more from the kitchen.
Her parents shared a look and chuckled at their daughter.
"Oof...she is surely the home minister, otherwise, how come did she know? Moreover, my room is so far from hers and I was silent, considerably." Juhi thought out loud, she entered her room.
Giving up, She grabbed her phone open, to see if Vikram replied. She was disappointed. Nonetheless, thinking he must be busy, she started on her left over files.
Morning rolled in, sunlight fell on his desk, waking him up from his slumber. He blinked open his eyes, to realise he had developed neck pain. Looking around he thought, 'Again I slept in the study' sighing he opened his phone to glance at the time, only to find a few messages from Rahul and Sneha, and one from Juhi.
Opening her message,
J: Oh sorry! I saw the message now. I am cooking dinner. What are you doing?
Well, she was better than him, she replied after few hours. While he would after, literally, half a day.
He left his phone for charging and started with his morning routine.
On the way to office, he got a call from Juhi. 'Why was she calling early in the morning?'.
He was about to pick it up when the call disconnected. He frowned and dialled her back,
"Hello! You called?"
" Uh...yeah...actually while replying, I accidentally pressed the call button."
Vikram's frown eased but he felt bad that she wasnt calling him willingly, it was a mistake.
Clearing his throat, he replied" No issues."

His voice was doing wonders to Juhi, here she was standing in front of her car. She was about to get in when this happened, the driver was staring at his madam, she was awestruck and had forgotten that the door was open. He was just about to remind her of that, when Juhi's father made an appearance.
Vikram heard no noise from her side, frowning he said, " Juhi, you there?"
Juhi snapped out of her trance and replied, " Ye...Yes."
Her father was standing behind her, observing her. Yet she was unknown to his presence. It didn't require sixth sense to know she was talking to Vikram.
He kept his hand on her shoulder. Juhi jerked, she was clearly unaware of his presence and turned around.
" Dad?"
Vikram frowned on hearing this, Juhi was acting weird.
Juhi's father tilted his chin towards the car and said, " The door is open since last 2 to 3 minutes."
She turned around in shock and looked at her driver as if asking for confirmation, he nodded back at her.
Before she could reply, her dad asked for her phone. She was hesitating when he said, " I know it is Vikram. Give it to me."
Vikram heard the conversation between father and daughter. He gulped knowing he was about to be grilled.
" Hello, Vikram?"
" Yes, Hello uncle! How are you?"
" I am good. So how is business? You seem free to talk to my daughter early in the morning."
Juhi gave him an anxious look.
Ignoring her, her father turned around with her phone to talk to her future husband using her phone. She gawked at her father.
'How could he?', frustrated she stomped her foot and got inside the car.
